Chapter 2 - New Identity

*Ugh... not this feeling again* Adam thought as he struggled to open his eyes, finding himself staring at a stone ceiling this time. He was lying on top of a bed made of straw and wood with a simple sheet on top-so the straw won't itch his back, a typical bed during the Middle Ages.

"He said I'm in Snow White's world, but why didn't he specify anything else..." Adam complained, looking around what he guessed to be his new bedroom.

'Don't be distressed! Your trustworthy God is here to answer all of your doubts and uncertainties!'

An annoying voice that Adam immediately recognised rang in his head, giving him a momentary headache.

"Can you not be so loud?!"

'It's just the excitement, don't mind it. Let us quickly get through the important matters though- you obviously have a lot of questions which I will answer. First ones being 'Where exactly you are' or 'Who you are'

Adam was a little confused at the 'who' part but he let Loki continue.

'If you haven't noticed, you're no longer in your original body and have taken the body of an 11 year old child. He has the same name as you, Adam Foster, and is the sole child of a well off farmer. Your/his mother died while you were still young and your father, Harry Foster, was granted the title of Baron not long ago.

You are currently in the original 'Adam's' bedroom as he was supposed to die of cholera, meaning that his soul passed on and you could take his body as your own. Your family's estate is just outside the city Snow White and the royal family reside in, and I made it so that both of you are the same age- how convenient right?

Long story short; your the son of a very successful farmer who recently got the rank of nobility, you were bedridden for the past week but miraculously pulled through. I'll let you figure out the rest by yourself, but one tiny warning: beware the memory flood'

"What memory fl-" But before he could finish his sentence Adam was struck by what he could describe as the worst headache someone could ever experience.

In less than ten seconds Adam experienced the eleven years of life that the previous host lived through. It was nowhere near as easy as his childhood, this world's Adam worked the fields from a tender age of nine while studying at the same time.

His family was pretty well off for farmers, and the more money they made the more territory his dad bought and the more workers he hired.

That didn't mean that Adam could slack off at all, since his father is still a father even with his nobility title.

As the headache subsided Adam's bedroom door slammed open by none other than his father, who after hearing Adam's shout of pain rushed inside.

"Adam is every-... you can sit up now! Oh thank God... if I lost you too then I don't know what I would have done. I'm also sorry for being away yesterday Adam, it was an event I couldn't miss.

Remember how the king is getting remarried? Well I was invited... can you believe that? A lowly baron attending the king's wedding." His father Harry said with pride.

"I see, then how was the wedding dad?" Adam tried to act as the original, and with the memories it was as easy as pie.

"It was splendid, as expected of a royal wedding of course! His wife was extremely beautiful as well, not as perfect as your mother but still quite close."

Both of them chuckled at the comparison until his father suddenly slapped his back.

"Come now, let's eat some breakfast since you're up and about. You don't have to worry about work for now, take the day off to make sure you've completely recovered."

As his father left the room Adam's smile slowly disappeared while a frown replaced it.

*Loki, couldn't you have transported me like... I don't know a bit later in time to the start of the plot?!*

*You won't have fun that way! Trust me on this, now is the perfect time for you to learn and perfect the necessary skills to survive this story. You don't have plot armour, remember?*

For the first time since they met, the God of mischief spoke some words that made sense and it actually worried Adam. Without plot armour he is vulnerable to everything though this little panic lasted for only a moment.

Wasn't his previous life like that? Why worry about something he has no control over? All he could do now was enjoy the new life he was given, and provide some entertainment to a certain crazy god. How hard can that be right?
