Divine Emperor of Death

2900 Aftermath Of The Banquet

Lai, Raves, and the other Divergent Slayer descended from the skies.

Their gazes were full of shock, unable to believe that this Anarchic Divergent crossed his Annihilative Immortal King Tribulation, even with the obstruction of twelve Paragon Magical Beasts, not to mention something that they had never heard of or even come across before!

A human under the title of Celestial Transcendent descended to punish the Anarchic Divergent.

Yet, for some reason, those memories of it were becoming more and more blurry. Even if they tried to write it in high-quality magical beast skin, the ink or soul force simply dries up, leaving nothing in the end. However, looking at the immobile fellow crawling in front of them, their feet touched the ground.

His head was theirs for the taking, not to mention the karmic virtue they would receive upon killing him. They couldn't stop smiling. Looking at him finally turn unconscious, their smirks grew wider as they looked at each other.

Yet-

- they didn't see an arc of lightning flash past their necks.

No, it didn't flash past them but sliced through them cleanly, their necks falling, their expressions still grinning as though appearing to no not have registered the fact that they had died.

Walking past them from the side was a purple-robed woman whose stature appeared to be majestic. She floated towards the fallen Anarchic Divergent, the hem of her purple robe swishing elegantly amidst the windy breeze, trailing behind her like a silken river of deep, rich amethyst.

This woman had a regal bearing, and combined with her luxurious ornaments that graced her buxom frame as the light from the skies fell on them like a spotlight as it widened, she glittered in the light like a heavenly fairy.

But, the two-meter-long crimson-purple halberd she held made her appear as though she was a demonic figure who ascended from the underworld.

However, she suddenly stopped as her expression became cold.

A black-robed woman suddenly appeared beside Davis. Her body knelt as she hurriedly took out a pill of unknown nature, her purple eyes gleaming with some emotion, but there was also some hesitance that didn't let her administer the pill into his mouth.

"You can't just throw me away like that after taking me. Am I that hateful to you…?"

She asked as she bit her lips, appearing to try to elicit some kind of response from the Anarchic Divergent. However, there was no response, causing her to shiver ever so lightly.

The purple-robed woman had her eyes squinted. She turned to look towards the place where this black-robed woman suddenly appeared and saw that it was from a life ring that seemed to be lying around in a crater, seemingly abandoned.

Yet, she could tell that it belonged to the unconscious Anarchic Divergent.

"Move."

She uttered, causing the black-robed woman to become silent. Without turning her head, she stood up.

"What are you after, Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder?"

She finally turned her head, gazing at the purple-robed woman.

The Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder glared at the black-robed woman without much emotion.

"It doesn't concern you, Yilla Zyrus. Move or die."

Yilla Zyrus's gaze shook. Her fingers twitched before she spread out her hands.

"You were the one who sneaked into his room and drugged us, weren't you?"

The Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founder's lips curled slightly.

"Looks like you want to die."

She raised her halberd and stretched her arm. The long blade of the halberd rested upon Yilla Zyrus's shoulder, inching closer towards her neck as flames began to melt her robe over the shoulder and lightning crackled over her neck, causing her to shiver ever so lightly.

"This is your final chance. Move~"

Yilla Zyrus's entire body shook. Her eyes flickered with pain as the heat seared her shoulder, and the blade cut sliced her neck ever so lightly. Her expression seemed to be scared, but her pupils inched toward the corners to look at Davis as though looking at him one last time.

"Despite all odds… he crossed his impassable tribulation…"

Yilla Zyrus returned her gaze toward the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder, her lips quivering.

"Then I… then I'm not going to let you do anything to him…!"

"Very well."

The Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founder's expression didn't seem to have any change, but her hand swung in an arc.

*Ripp!~*

=========

On a floating island, there were eight regions. Within the eastern direction stood a tall and spacious mansion.

From the mansion to the very ends of the floating island, the defenses were very high, extending up to the Mid Immortal Emperor Stage. It was populated with purple-robed squadrons all over the place, looking out for intruders all the time.

Light seemed to dawn on this island as the sun rose to the skies.

But inside the mansion, many people congregated with solemn look on their faces. There was a resounding silence even though many had gathered.

"That's it. I can't take it anymore."

However, someone broke the silence, causing everyone to turn and gaze at a black-robed woman.

She was none other than Mingzhi.

"It's been seven days since that day. Why hasn't he come back or sent a word?"

Mingzhi's gaze squinted as she turned to look at another black-robed woman of unmatched beauty, "Nadia, he's alive, isn't he?"

"Master is alive without a doubt. I can sense his presence but where? I don't know. Our pact seems to be still undergoing some changes."

Nadia's gaze shook as she clenched her fists, "I shouldn't have left master's side..."

Sophie and Niera, who were beside Nadia, cheered her up, telling her that it wasn't her fault.

Just as everyone felt a bit gloomy, they turned to look at their big sister.

However, Evelynn shook her head.

"I can't seem to connect with his eyes either. He could be intentionally blocking me, but I feel no resistance. Just a layer of emptiness as though I can't get hold of it, so he either must be in some other realm, a pocket realm for example, or..."

"Unconscious…?" Isabella doubtfully asked, causing the others to shiver.

"It can't be… according to the information we got, there were the corpses of three Divergent Slayers." Mingzhi placed a hand on her chin, "That made everyone understand that Davis was still alive, and we have our reasons to believe that he is alive as well, so if he managed to escape, then he should've contacted us by this time. It isn't like him to not notify us of anything unless..."

"… he is heavily injured and is still hiding in the Fire Phoenix Clan." Fiora's gaze flickered.

"I'm going to find husband and bring him back," Tanya uttered as her eyes flashed with chilling intent.

A few other ladies also seemed to want to go out, like Isabella and Lea.

"Wait." However, Mingzhi stopped them, "That's not right. The Fire Phoenix Clan hasn't given up on demanding our husband on the grounds that he is an Anarchic Divergent and has wrecked three to five cities by using the tribulation lightning. Therefore, they shouldn't have him unless they're playing the fool."

"However, even the other alliances are also teaming up with the Fire Phoenix Clan despite the Fire Phoenix Clan's wrongs since they're inflicted with karmic burden and want to remove it by killing our husband. There's no way the Fire Phoenix Clan is not going to reveal where Davis is when the entire world wants his head. Yotan, am I wrong?"

Hearing Mingzhi's words, everyone couldn't help but feel their heart beat faster.

Although they were cooped inside all day long, just waiting for their husband to come back while fully trusting him, so many things had happened.
