Divine Enchantress: Night Emperor's Beloved Consort

In the afternoon, the group stopped to have lunch together.

Liu Weimin and Han Jianyu took out their own raw ingredients to cook for lunch. Naturally, Liu Weimin's raw beef was for him and Jiang Ying Yue. He didn't even bother offering the siblings his food.

Han Jianyu naturally knew it and he wordlessly cooked his own meal. He was about to offer Jiang Ying Yue some of his roasted chicken when he smelled a delicious scent coming from the beef that Jiang Ying Yue was cooking.

What a good smell!

His mouth started watering and his stomach started grumbling.

Grrrrrr~

Hua Jianyu's face turned red.

Damn! Why did his stomach embarrass him like this?

All three people looked at him. Han Jinghua started laughing uncontrollably.

Hahaha her brother must've been embarrassed to death and she was here to witness it!

Liu Weimin merely glanced and didn't say anything.

Jiang Ying Yue on the other hand said to him, "The steak is almost done. I'll give you guys some."

Liu Weimin was unsatisfied but he didn't say anything.

Jiang Ying Yue tried her best to cook a good steak with limited spices. But it was more than enough right now. The smell was making her drool.

The steak was soon done and she divided it into four portions. The piece of meat was huge anyways.

Han Jianyu gave some of his grilled chicken as well.

They all took a bit of the steak and m.o.a.ns of p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e was heard.

So good!!!

Han Jinghua's eyes were squinted into a straight line as she closed it in p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e.

"Ying Yue not only you are good at fighting but you are good at cooking too!! Totally wife material. Ah I wanna marry you!"

The steak was too good ah!

Throughout their short walk together, they all started getting familiar with each other and they called each other by given name to show familiarity.

Except Liu Weimin who only talked once in a while completely different from his usual self around Jiang Ying Yue.

Jiang Ying Yue knew she shouldn't force Liu Weimin into talking to anybody so she kept quiet about it.

"If you like it, I will cook it again for you in the future." Jiang Ying Yue promised.

Then she looked at Liu Weimin. "Weimin, I wonder how many raw ingredients did you prepare for this trip? Can you open a shop with it?"

Liu Weimin rolled his eyes. "I did prepare a lot but not enough to open a shop. I just don't want you to starve. Heh aren't I a good friend?" He boasted.

Jiang Ying Yue laughed. "Yes yes you are a good friend. The best!" She gave him a thumbs up which he looked at it in confusion.

Seeing the confusion in his eyes, she knew that the guy didn't know the meaning behind the gesture. So cute ah! "This is called a thumbs up. You do this when you want to complement the other person."

Liu Weimin nodded and after thinking a bit, he did a thumbs up while saying "Yue Yue, you are the best cook ever!"

"Hoho of course I am." She admitted shamelessly.

The siblings looked at their interaction with interest. Both Jiang Ying Yue and Liu Weimin had a different personality when they were around each other.

The atmosphere soon turned quiet and surprisingly, it was Liu Weimin who opened his mouth first to ask the siblings something that he had been wondering for awhile now.

"I have been wondering. Why are you guys in this forest and without a guardian at that. Don't noble families usually send hidden guards to accompany the young master and miss of the family? Why don't you guys have one?"

Han Jianyu asked him back. "How did you know that we are from a noble family?"

Liu Weimin scoffed. "Tsk your clothes are made of expensive silk and you even have high grade space ring. And you guys don't look like you are out much based on your attitude."

Han Jianyu nodded and admitted it. "Indeed, we are the children of the first wife of Duke Han of Dark Star Empire. Our ancestor was a scholar that found the country together with the first emperor thus he was given the title Duke by the emperor and it holds until today."

"We are a family of scholars but in our generation, only my eldest brother followed that path. The second one became a businessman and me and Hua'er were the only ones without interest in any of those paths. Since we had a bit of talent in cultivation, my grandfather sent us here to train ourselves to be stronger."

Han Jianyu then looked at Han Jinghua. "Initially, they only wanted to send me here alone but Hua'er was being too lazy to learn martial arts at home and she accidentally beat up one of the minister's son who was coveting her thus, she was sent here with me. So here we are, trying to survive here on our own."

Han Jinghua added. "Yea I was sent here along with my brother for me to train together with him. I beat that guy up back then because he kept on calling me his wife and even told people that I was his wife. So in my anger, I beat him up. I don't regret it though. Our family gave us 3 years to experience things outside and improve ourselves before coming back home."

Liu Weimin nodded in understanding. So it was like that.

No wonder they didn't have any guard protecting them. Well it was normal for families to send their children to learn outside but for a girl to do that too, he was quite surprised.

But then.. When he looked at Yue Yue, what was there to be surprised about. Girls could be better and stronger than guys too. Just look at this monster next to him, she was the epitome of girl power.

Han Jinghua then asked them, "Why are you guys here then? It can't be you guys did something bad and was punished too right?" She laughed.

Jiang Ying Yue answered her. "Nope. I was asked by my master to train here to improve my strength for a month and I just dragged this guy along with me."

Han Jinghua's eyes went big. "So basically you are just here to train? And it even looked like you were not forced but you are happy to be here instead. Damn you guys are crazy."

Jiang Ying Yue just shrugged her shoulders.

Han Jianyu on the other hand, admired their friendship. Jiang Ying Yue might say it as if Liu Weimin followed her because she asked him to, but he could see that they would be protect each other well when in need and their friendship was strong.

"I admire your friendship. It's hard to find a good friend these days especially for the people with our status." He sighed remembering his ex best-friend. That guy betrayed him and later he found out that he was only friends with him because his parents asked him to.

Liu Weimin smiled. And that was enough to make Han Jinghua's heart beats faster. Liu Weimin was a good looking guy on daily basis but when he smiled, it was enough to make ladies go head over heels for him.

"Yea it's hard to find a good friend these days. I am just lucky to meet Yue Yue." Suddenly he squinted his eyes at Han Jianyu. "Why did you say people with 'our' status? How did you know?"

Han Jianyu just smiled. "Same reason as you. Your clothes and space rings. Plus, they are of even higher quality than ours. Especially, Ying Yue's space ring. It was custom made by Master Fan Deming am I right?"

Such sharp eyes!

Jiang Ying Yue merely nodded her head. "Yea it is."

To her, it wasn't a big deal at all but Grandpa Fan was such a nice guy though. Ah she kinda missed her master and Grandpa Fan now.

What was that old man doing? Must be refining his pills still.
