-In the iron room at the underground palace-

Currently, a figure was standing in front of a supreme dragon in his human form.

Just now, right after they forged a soul contract and Anguo knelt on the flooe, Jiang Ying Yue asked him on how did he summon all the guardian beasts for the previous successors.

And they answer she got was: He could summon almost all of the magical beasts in the world because he was the supreme dragon. But there were also some of the guardians that were left behind by the previous palace masters at this place because they didn't want their guardian beast to follow them after their death and they broke the soul contract.

But unfortunately, when the valley's extermination happened back then, the palace master died along with his guardian beast and luckily, Changying had already become the official successor of the valley thus she had her own guardian beast bestowed upon her by Anguo.

"Why didn't you help them back then?" Jiang Ying Yue inquired.

Of course, Anguo knew what she meant with the question. She was asking about why didn't he help them when the valley was exterminated.

He smiled faintly but there was a trace of sadness behind it. "Back then, after my previous master away, I had already sworn that I would continue helping his valley grow by summoning guardian beasts for his successors just like what I did when he was alive. But, my sorrow of the betrayal that happened back then made me swore to never serve a human again and stay in this room."

Jiang Ying Yue kept quiet and let him continue his story. Although she was wondering what betrayal was Anguo talking about, she didn't ask. He would tell her if he wanted to.

"Since then, I stayed in this room and guarded this palace for my previous master. I was all alone and since only palace masters and successors could enter this place, I rarely meet human. That was until I saw you appearing in the tunnel. I saw something in you and decided to test you myself."

Anguo looked at Jiang Ying Yue and smiled slightly. Jiang Ying Yue on the other hand, pointed at the stone on the table as if she didn't hear his story at all.

"What is that stone for then?"

Anguo followed her finger and looked at the stone on the table. "Oh, it's just for decoration. It's to make people scared of me."

He spoke like local tyrant.

What a cheater! Jiang Ying Yue almost wanted to beat him up.

Suddenly, her eyes brightened up and she squinted her eyes.

Anguo had a bad premonition in his heart.

"You said that you could summon most magical beasts right? And there should be a few magical beasts left in here still?" Her tone was mischievous. Anguo knew immediately that she was up to no good.

Nevertheless, he nodded honestly. She was his master. He didn't want to lie to her.

"Good. Can you please help me by summoning the magical beasts in here? I would like them to be my friends' guardian beasts." Jiang Ying Yue ordered.

Anguo thought to himself: He was right. She really was up to no good.

He shook his head. "No can do. I only summon magical beasts to be the successor's guardian, not for others." He said firmly.

Jiang Ying Yue tilted her head while her right hand rubbed her chin behind the veil.

"Hmm but you said that I am your master and you'll follow my order no? Plus, they are the only disciple of the valley and could be considered successors too. We will be the people to bring the magnificence of the valley back up. So how about it?"

And that was how we came to the scene where two figures stared at each other unwavering till Anguo decided to give in and followed his master's orders.

Both of them then went outside to the main hall in the palace to meet Jiang Ying Yue's friends.

Today was the day she would meet all of them again and she felt excited!

Right when Jiang Ying Yue entered, she saw Chanying, Liu Weimin, Han Jianyu and Han Jinghua were already seated there.

Chanying's figure was starting to get more and more transparent and Jiang Ying Yue knew that she didn't have much time left.

Liu Weimin was the first to greet her. A huge smiled plastered on his face and he shouted, "Yue Yue! Here, come and sit here!"

The young man was now slightly taller than before but his face was a lot more manly than the first time she saw him.

Jiang Ying Yue walked at a faster pace and arrived in front of Liu Weimin.

All of them seemed to forget both Chanying and Anguo being there. Forget it. They didn't even see him following behind Jiang Ying Yue just now.
