Dragon Ball: New Life

The halls of Frieza's ship were coated in blood and viscera. Armor and equipment was scattered about, lacking complete corpses to fill them. Two boys entered the control room of the now emptied ship. One of the boys was covered in various colored blood.

"You look pretty scary, Reiss." Gohan commented to his blood soaked cousin.

"I was in a hurry." Reiss shrugged, "This is really going to be hard to wash out of my hair."

Gohan had witnessed his older cousin flash down the hallways of the ship like a wraith, dispatching the soldiers at every turn. Because the boy was so interested in showing off the North Galaxy Fist Style he learned, things became messier than they should have.

The younger Gohan was a little shaken by the display of brutality, but he wasn't willing to let Reiss see it. He knew his cousin would more than likely tease him relentlessly about it.

The children were in the ship because they had been given a mission to download the contents of the vessel's computer. All they had to do was install a Menagerie hacking tool once they knew Frieza had left. Once the download was complete, the tool would then send the information to the flagship.

After receiving the information the Menagerie would then fire upon Frieza's ship, destroying it.

"Hey, Gohan I need you to insert the tool." Reiss passed the small box containing the device to his cousin. "My hands are too sticky."

Gohan opened the box and removed the thumb drive shaped hacking technology. When he inserted the device into the computer, it seemed to melt into the slot. Gohan looked back at Reiss in confusion.

"Was that supposed to happen?" he asked.

"Yeah, Big Gete technology is like that." Reiss nodded, "Now let's get out of here before that finishes. I want to make it back in time to see Frieza lose."

Krillin and Tien had successfully defeated all of the Frieza Force that entered the village they were using as an ambush site. Right after they had sensed Frieza begin to move, they had received information over the Scouters they were given that it was time to move to the final location. The leader of the Prometheus soldiers that were with them also confirmed the information. They did have to admire the fact that so far Raditz's plan was working.

All Frieza found when he located the site of the battle was an empty village, filled with the corpses of his men. It was surprising that Jeice, a member of the Ginyu Force, was killed without being able to escape. The evil emperor knew that it was highly unlikely that the natives would have been capable of something like this. Not even the Galactic Patrol would dare try something like this. His guess was Vegeta was somehow behind this development.

"Lord Frieza, I am detecting several weak power levels moving away!" Zarbon informed his master.

Frieza activated his Scouter to see what Zarbon was talking about. Indeed, some distance away was a group that was nearing the edge of the Scouter range. Frieza's rage at being played was increasing.

"We know which direction they're headed. They weren't fast enough to make a clean getaway." Dodoria offered his thoughts.

"You never use your head, Dodoria." Zarbon scoffed, "It's more than likely, they are trying to lead us into a trap."

"Trap or no, these fools are about to learn what happens when you get in the way of Lord Frieza." Frieza ended the discussion, "We are going after them."

The trio took to the air to continue the chase after the people responsible for hindering Frieza's quest for immortality. They traveled over hundreds of miles before reaching their destination. It was large landmass covered in short grass like most other landmasses on the planet. The group of invaders were shocked to see that there were only two Namekians in the group, Nail and Piccolo.

"Saiyans." Frieza narrowed his eyes at the odd group.

Kakarot, Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz were standing near Piccolo and Nail. Krillin and Tien arrived moments after Frieza and landed with their friends. They were caught of guard to see Nappa and Vegeta on the planet.

"So, more of you monkeys survived than I thought." Frieza said calmly lowering his hover chair to the ground. "Vegeta I'm pleased to see that you and Nappa came back to receive your punishment for failure."

"Hardly, Frieza, I came to see you die." Vegeta retorted.

"Hoh hoh hoh" Frieza laughed, "You were always amusing Vegeta. What makes you think you can defeat me?"

"Because I have become what you fear. I have become a Super Saiyan!" Vegeta confidently declared.

"Vegeta if your plan was to make me suffocate from laughter, it won't happen. I don't need to breath." Frieza looked like his anger from earlier had dissipated.

Vegeta on the other hand was filled with a bottomless rage from Frieza's mockery. The vein on his forehead looked like it was going to rupture. He raised his right hand with his palms facing towards his former master.

BIG BANG ATTACK!

The widen spread beam of destruction washed over Frieza, Zarbon, and Dodoria. The Saiyan prince was proud of the level of destruction he caused. Now all he needed to see was the look on Frieza's face at experiencing his power.

When the smoke cleared, Frieza was hovering in midair, his chair consumed by the blast. Zarbon and Dodoria were vaporized in the attack, costing Frieza his last two minions on the planet. Vegeta stared wide eyed at the tyrant. He couldn't believe that his attack didn't even scratch the short horned alien.

"So who else thinks Vegeta is a Super Saiyan?" Frieza asked the group.

"Nobody but Vegeta thought he was a Super Saiyan." Raditz said.

"And who might you be?" Frieza questioned the long haired Saiyan.

"Emperor Raditz, of the Prometheus Empire." Raditz answered as he floated in front of Vegeta to get closer to Frieza.

"An emperor you say, how interesting." Frieza smiled, "Lord Raditz, I will be interested into visiting your empire personally after we finish here."

"That may not be possible." Raditz said with a hint of melancholy.

"And why is that?" Frieza asked.

Before Raditz answered three dark purple beams rained down in the distance followed by three explosions.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

"Because your ship just got destroyed, along with Ginyu Force pods." Raditz grinned, "Oh, and Vegeta and Nappa's Attack Balls."

"Our sh.i.p.s!" Vegeta glared. "Why!"

"I didn't want anyone leaving." Raditz shrugged at the prince.

"Father, we handled the mission!" Reiss shouted as he and Gohan landed behind the group of a.d.u.l.ts.

"Well, it sees you are smarter than the typical monkey, but you are still a fool if you think you can stand against me." Frieza scoffed.

"Not only can I stand against you, but after we are done, I'm going to personally visit your empire." Raditz glared returning Frieza's words.

"Hey, Kakarot, can Raditz really handle Frieza?" Nappa asked.

"I don't know, but my brother usually does what he says." Kakarot shrugged.

"Is he really the Super Saiyan?" Nappa inquired further, "Like the legend?"

"I don't know what that is." the Earth raised Saiyan answered.

"You look enough like Turles that I forgot you were raised on Earth." Nappa said ending the conversation.

"Did you want to try your hand at fighting Frieza?" Raditz looked back at Vegeta.

"I more interested in seeing what you are capable of, since you were boasting earlier." Vegeta spat.

"Don't worry Vegeta, after I finish with Lord Raditz, you are next." Frieza said with certainty.

"Lord Raditz. Always promoting polite speech, eh, Frieza." Raditz joked.

"I respect the fact, that against the odds, you tried to claim an empire in my universe." Frieza answered.

Thinking that they had conversed enough, Raditz began to charge his power in preparation of the battle. Sizable rocks lifted from the ground and broke apart as the Prometheus Emperor's Ki surged through his body. The gathered fighters that could sense energy felt the intensity of the aura. Even Nappa could tell that the level of power Raditz had reached was superior to Vegeta's.

The levitating rocks collapsed back to the ground after Raditz had finished powering up. Kakarot's senses were tuned well enough to tell that his brother was weaker than Frieza. The two powers were close, but Raditz was behind.

Frieza stood with his hands behind his back waiting for his opponent to make his move. After stretching his arms a few times, Raditz dropped into his fighting stance. Frieza was a little curious as to what gave the Saiyan enough confidence to dare challenge him.

Raditz burst forth launching himself at the tyrannical emperor. Frieza was impressed that a Saiyan managed to gain the level of speed that Raditz possessed. He became more confident in his decision to wipe out the planet. Frieza was able to block all of the punches and kicks Raditz threw his way.

Thanks to Raditz's Ki field technique, he was able to dodge all of Frieza's counter attacks. The technique was both mentally and physically draining to maintain. He had gotten accustomed to using it, but under the level of strain he was under it wasn't going to last long.

Vegeta was disgusted that Raditz was doing as well as he was against Frieza, but he could tell Frieza wasn't being serious. It angered him more when he realized Raditz wasn't using the Great Ape power he used during their fight.

Kakarot watched what seemed to be an unending wave of attacks from Frieza and his brother. As the struggle continued on, Kakarot could tell his brother's dodging was becoming sloppier. Kakarot observed that Raditz must be getting tired from sustaining the Ki field while operating under so much strain.

Raditz failed to avoid one of Frieza's sneak attacks with his tail. The hit left him stunned and open to receive a flurry of strikes from Frieza. Raditz was sent into a nearby hill, turning it into rubble. The long haired Saiyan pushed aside the boulders that had collapsed on top of him. He stood up from the attack, appearing to only have suffered minor damage.

"You did well to last as long as you did." Frieza informed them, "My power in this form is 530,000. But this is my weakest form."

HAAAH!

The pressure coming from Frieza grew intense. His power began to skyrocket as his body grew and stretched. The horns growing from his head grew larger, curving upwards. His height more than doubled. The tyrant now cut an imposing figure.

"My power in this form is over one million." Frieza informed them with his more baritone voice, "Allow me to demonstrate."

He raised his arm and pointed his index finger to Raditz. The transformed Frieza unleashed a barrage of Emperor Beams at the Saiyan. Raditz's armor was in shreds from the attack. Raditz himself was badly hurt, but alive. The attack wasn't meant to kill, it was used to intimidate.

Frieza then charged Raditz, batting him around the area like toy. The alien emperor used a tail slap to send Raditz flying towards the ocean at high speeds. The water parted on both sides of the Saiyan as he came to a stop, causing a geyser of water to erupt.

Vegeta was terrified by Frieza's strength, and angered by Raditz's refusal to use all of his power. If it came down to it Vegeta was willing to use the artificial moon technique. If all the Saiyans gathered became Great Apes, they should be able to kill Frieza.

"So, who's next?" Frieza asked the group. "Perhaps you Vegeta? Or perhaps the one that looks like Turles?"

"Raditz isn't done, yet." Kakarot grinned.

"My brother is right, I'm not done yet." Raditz said from behind Frieza. The Saiyan ate a Panacea bean after getting hit into the ocean by Frieza. Now he was back and fully refreshed, stronger than ever. Frieza was surprised, to say the least, by Raditz's return and healthy appearance.
