Dragon Ball: Yamcha's Rebirth

"Congratulations Yamcha, you've learnt the art of Image Training, remember this is a technique used when there are no opponents on your level or when your body is injured/unconscious/etc and this indeed increases the amount of Ki you can output as well as increases your strength as more Ki flows through your bloodstream acting as nutrients building up your muscle mass and strength."

"You see one thing different to ordinary humans compared to Spirit Humans such as yourself is that your bodies veins are filled with Ki circulating throughout your body into your capillaries, veins and arteries going into your muscles and as the word Ki means gas, it replaces your oxygen as another form of energy this allows us to breathe underwater, in space and vacuums."

Finished Mr Popo was, as I hurriedly asked him something on my mind burning me to no end with this idea, "Mr Popo, but what if... Let's say our planet exploded or a supernova occurred could we live or die alongside our planet?"

Hearing this his face widened in shock as he wasn't expecting such a question.

"Well Yamcha, if earth indeed blew up or super nova'd as you called it we would not die as we could rely on our strong bodies forged through training to allow us to survive, similarly we could just place a layer of non-visible Ki atop our bodies to protect us from the blast. And once in space all we need to do is harness our Ki and circulate it through our body and by doing this we don't need oxygen."

"And before you say anything else Yamcha, we don't need oxygen it's useless to us we have Ki it's better for us and acts as a much better replacement than oxygen ever was, also those that believe they can't breathe in space or underwater are idiots, all we need to do is realise we have Ki in those moments and protect our internal organs with it."

Hearing this Yamcha nodded, as he thought 'so it seems my theory was right we don't need oxygen at all and in Namek Goku thought he couldn't breathe underwater but he could if he just used his Ki to protect his lungs the water wouldn't matter, so this means that indeed oxygen is useless as Ki is a better gas than it, as it can pretty much help us do anything even protecting our internal organs, this also makes sense as Goku sent that Monster Rabbit and his goons to the moon and they're still alive doing just fine as they are using their Ki to survive.'

'My theory was further proved when Bardock survived within space as he fought against Frieza in space during both the minus continuity as well as the original 1986 timeline, not to mention Vegeta countless times appeared in space without a hitch, as Mr Popo is right Ki has another name Gas or Breath as well as spiritual energy that allows us to survive and get stronger.'

"Yamcha dear, quit dozing off or I'll throw you off the lookout."

"Hai, sorry for that Mr Popo, I was just comprehending your words."

Hearing this Popo's cold face turned mild as he turned to me before saying, "Remember this is the last I'll tell you of this but your cells are filled with Ki that is the difference between you and a non-cultivator of Ki, it means your body grows stronger faster and heals faster, and it also upgrades your cells to the next level and compared to a normal human martial artist with no Ki training you are more like an entirely different species as your cells do different tasks due to your Ki, and this becomes genetic and is sent down the blood as your blood is coursing with Ki."

"Now before your next task I'll give you a small one, listen up you can't use your eyes or your nose but your Ki-Senseing abilities to see if you can track things without seeing them or hearing them."

Hearing this Yamcha merely nodded as he then became prepared as he ripped off some of his desert bandit Gi and placed it on his eyes covering them and then his nose.

"Okay Yamcha on your marks get set Go...!!"

At this point a sudden ringing noise was heard as it echoed out into the distance, this was actually a bell within Popo's hand as he tried to see whether Yamcha would find out he's the one making the sound or not.

'Hmm I can hear the sound, and it's coming from the front.'

At this Point Mr Popo began to use the Zanzoken as from multiple directions the noise of a bell rang out confusing my senses, as I couldn't use my sense of smell, sight, sound I had to use only my spiritual energy in order to find out where truly the noise emanated from.

With that thought Yamcha cleared his mind and spread out his hands to both sides of his body and began his sensing of the sound.

And as he did this Yamcha felt a weird sensation, this feeling of spiritual energy, all around him flowed around and as if they were arrows pointing to his destination he visualised them within his mind.

Seeing this Mr Popo thought that, 'to simply home in on the location of your target is amazing and unheard of.'

"VRIING!!"

Soon enough countless waves of spiritual energy started to manifest around Yamcha giving out unique locations from all around, however Yamcha was still focused and had his eyes closed.

"WHOOSH!!!"

"SNAP!!!"

At this moment Yamcha had opened out his eyes and grabbed Mr Popo's hand before smiling and saying "Gotcha!"

"Well done, Yamcha it seems you've really mastered the art of Ki-Senseing. I cannot commend you enough of your achievements though I hope you don't think this is the end of training as you are still at the beginning, be prepared from now on out as our real training will begin soon, so be prepared and start training."
