Takashi eyes widen and shook, he didn't know what to think, so many things and emotions were running through his mind. He pushed back Sayo, even though he wanted to kiss her more, but it was wrong, for he didn't know what love was... Takashi had never felt such this kind emotion before in his life, there was no time for love in his past life, all he cared about was his survival and the same ideals transferred over to this world. He only thought about killing and cultivating to become powerful, everything else was beneath him. But even now, just one kiss from Sayo made him confused to why so did such an act. They were always close together, yet this was strange and came out of nowhere.

Sayo steps back and touches her lips, she blushes as tears fall from her shaking eyes, it was taking everything she had to confess her love to Takashi. Even the kiss she just did right now made her heart beat like crazy.

Takashi's face is now unfazed by the kiss, it worried Sayo that Takashi didn't 'love' her back.

"Takashi what am I to you?" Sayo softly muttered as she tightly gripped her c.h.e.s.t. Her cheeks became redder by the second.

"Sayo I have to go to my mission," Takashi said as walked away, she was taking up too much of his time. He needed to train today before he went on the next mission, plus Najenda wasn't here, so this would the perfect time to test out all of his powers in the next mission.

"Wait!" Sayo gripes Takashi's sleeveless shirt.

"I saw you sleeping with that other 'girl'. Who is she to you?" Sayo asked as she was about to cry more. He hopes and dreams of love were slowing shattering before her. She had a feeling that Takashi would not show love back to her. But still, she wanted the truth to come out.

"That meant nothing. Just stop it Sayo, you should be more focused on healing yourself," Takashi walks back into the Night Raid Base.

"What am I to you!?" Sayo begged one more time as more tears streamed down her eyes. She didn't want Takashi to leave her again or by herself. She wanted him by her side forever. 'God! I can't believe I even kissed him!? What is wrong with me!? This feeling my c.h.e.s.t is driving me wild!' Her thick t.h.i.g.hs start shaking.

"I don't know," Takashi simply replied as he placed a towel over his broad shoulders.

"Takashi I love you!" Sayo said while gritted her teeth and clenched her fist, this was her last attempt. She went for another kiss. Takashi placed his palms on her ever so sweet rosy lips.

"Sayo enough," Takashi walks away and heads downstairs to the temple to train with Tatsumi.

Akame was overhearing the convo, as she leaned against the wall in a stealthy way, 'Love?' She thought to herself.

Tatsumi had overheard this and his hands started shaking and trembling as he carried a tray of food for Sayo. 'Damn you, brother...' He gritted his teeth and clenched his first with anger. Tatsumi himself was about to announce his love for Sayo today, but it had seemed he was already too late... Sayo had already that her love was only for Takashi.

Takashi is now outside training with Bulat and Tatsumi doing hand-to-hand combat. They punched and kicked at each other for hours. They used all different types of fighting techniques and martial arts such as Aikido, Jujutsu, Karate, and Taekwondo.

Takashi punches and kicks at such a fast rate that Tatsumi has no time to react. He got his a.s.s kicked by his brother. Tatsumi rolled across the stone floor of the combat arena.

During this combat training, Takashi slightly activated his Death Eyes of Perception to trace all of Tatsumi and Bulat's movements. He could see every black 'line of death' surrounding Tatsumi's and Bulat's bodies. He realized that fully activating his Death Eyes of Perception powers made his eyes bleed. Takashi quickly wipes out blood from his right eye, the one eye that he uses most of the powers. If he used both eyes then it would put more strain on his sight and mind.

Tatsumi is sweating and breathing heavily, "Damn it! How do you both move so fast!?"

"Here sugar, have some of this," Bulat tosses a bottle of water at Tatsumi who tries to catch it, but he drops it on the floor, his reflexes were too slow.

"Try it again!" Tatsumi shouts with an annoyed look on his face, he was tired of being.

Bulat tosses the water bottle again, this time Tatsumi catches it.

"See you aren't so slow. You just need to believe in yourself Tatsumi," Bulat winked his eyes.

"Thanks, big bro!" Tatsumi smiled with a thumbs up.

"Hey Tastumi, I am not your brother. Even though I don't mind you calling me that. You already have a brother," Bulat said he placed his palms on Tatsumi shoulders in a wise way.

"Yeah...But... I don't know... He has been acting strange lately. He never tells me anything. It's like I don't exist to him. It pisses me off, that and he..." Tatsumi clenched his fist as he remembers Takashi and Sayo kissing each other and embracing their bodies close together.

"Tatsumi maybe you should tell the truth to your brother. It looks like something is bothering you. I never had a brother myself, but the people here in Night Raid our the closest ones to me. They are like my family. And you are also close to me Tatsumi. I will do whatever it takes to protect everyone here, now Tatsumi go out there and talk him," Bulat said as he walks towards his spear weapon and starts training with it.

In the background Takashi is training with Ryuyami, he is doing about 100 sword slashes at every angle and trying to perfect his sword slashes and strike movements as well as his battle stances.

Takashi had remembered most of his past assassin skills, however, he needed to use them fully in order to sharpen those skill. In the next missions, he would just that, this past mission he just used brutal and quick-kill tactics, but he couldn't relay on Ryuyami all the time.

"Hey bro there is something I need to tell you," Tatsumi is behind him. He had a serious look on his face.

"What is it? I am kind of the middle of something," Takashi slashed his katana Ryuyami against Bulat's spear Incursio they were sparring yet again. Takashi had respected Bulat's power and he thought that Bulat was the only person in Night Raid that was close to his level next to Akame of course. But not by much. In a way, Bulat was kind of like a big bro to Takashi and Tatsumi, but Takashi didn't see it that way. Takashi only cared about becoming more powerful to protect the ones around him. However, there was a strange feeling that Takashi had, was he really going to protect the members of Night Raid? Like he was going to protect Sayo and Tatsumi?

"Bro... I don't want you to break Sayo's heart! Just tell her the damn truth!" Tatsumi points his fingers at him. " And also why did you freaking punch me and knock me out back the tavern at the Capital !? And why are you acting so distant from me!? It's like you changed!" He gritted is his teeth.

"I don't know what you're talking about. We should get going to the meeting area. I need to tell everyone something," Takashi walks away.

"No!" Tatsumi shouted as he stomped his feet and gets in Takashi's way.

"Stop wasting my time. I have a mission to do, " Takashi pushed him away Tatsumi and walks back into the base. Tatsumi was going to tell him that he saw Takashi kissing Sayo, but what he didn't know was that Sayo was the one who kissed Takashi! Was Tatsumi jealous? Or was something else bothering him?

Back inside the base at the throne room...

"Everyone since Boss is gone I will be in charge. Takashi and I will be going on a duo mission together. Leone, Mine, Sheele, and Bulat you will be doing another secret mission, and Lubbock you will be guarding the base.

"What about me!?" Tatsumi angrily shouted.

"What about you?" Akame replied with a monotone voice and a serious face.

"Shouldn't I go on a mission or something! It's like everyone forgets I am even here!" Tatsumi shouts and rebels.

"Oh shut it! It is because you are the weakest one here! Isn't it obvious!" Mine loudly huffs and crosses her arm in a bratty egotistical way.

" I am not weak! I am tired of hearing that bullshit!" Tatsumi punched the marble next to him.

"Tatsumi... Calm down..." Akame said as she tried to console him with a worried look on her face.

"You are not weak Tatsumi. You just need more time to train, I got your back. Don't worry. Just protect the base with Lubbock," Bulat said with a bright calming smile.

"Tch I don't even need this loser help," Lubbock walks away and eats a snack bar as he looks at s.e.xy photos of Najenda. 'One day we will be together, god you are perfect,' He touches the picture.

"Someone has a crush on the Boss!" Leone yelled in a teasing tone as she rubbed the top of Lubbock's green hair, "SHUT UP!" He slightly blushes and walks away.

"No! I am not staying here! See you guys later! I will do my own mission!" Tatsumi runs out without saying another word.

"What an idiot," Takashi said aloud to himself while shaking his head.

"Akame I already know the mission, let's get out of here already," Takashi suits up.

Akame nods her head, "Let me lead the way," she said.

"Tch in your dreams," Takashi sprints off and Akame follows right behind him.

"You jerk. Listen to me for once," Akame tails him with an angered serious face.

"Yeah whatever, just try to keep up," Takashi grinned.

Their next mission was one to retrieve an Imperial Arms that an executioner was using. They called him Zanku the Beheader. This was going to be an interesting mission.
