Thanks to his rooster talisman's incredible speed, David made it to the beach of Foolshout island at nightfall. The Foolshout island is mostly made out of plain land and large trees of cactus. It is unknown if there are multiple villages or a kingdom that rules this island but one thing for sure, Drug Peclo came here for a reason. David used his Observation Haki to find multiple numbers of life on the west side, he changed his direction and headed west to find civilization.

The port city of Urani is the second-largest city in Foolshout island, second to none compared to the capital city. As a port city, it thrived with merchants who came here to sell their goods and buy cactus honey, an exclusive product known for rich sweetness and nutrition only produced in Foolshout island. When David arrived, it was late and only businesses were pubs and restaurants, so he decided to get some food and gather information on Drug Peclo's possible targets. It's possible he is after high bounty pirates or contracted to assassinate a resident of this island so information gathering is important foremost. David found a pub called Black Boar, it was busy with both locals and merchants as they were drinking and exchanging tales. Finding a perfect place to gather intel, David went and got a table to order food and drinks and listen to the conversation around him carefully. Thanks to his connection with Shadow Khans, David was able to eavesdrop by sending Ninja Khans on everyone's shadows. David had to be creative to use Shadow Khan's potential and combine his demon powers and Khans to utilize it in full potential.

There was a lot of information for David to process it, hearing multiple voices at the same time isn't something he can stay still. To counter this, he used the rabbit talisman to speed up his mind and separate information depending on its usefulness. Within an hour, David learned that there are no high bounty pirates around Follshout island as the Navy built a base a few years ago after the incident with Sun pirates. 'This means Drug Peclo isn't here for bounty but to kill someone for assassination contract, but who? A rivalry between merchants? Or fortune grab between recently deceased rich families?' David thought as he continued to listen and order more drinks to stay in the pub, then he got a jackpot as he heard a conversation between two shady men at the corner table.

Man #1: "The nobles are preparing for the Baron's funeral and I heard King Hollarm is attending as well."

Man #2: "Really? King is also coming. No wonder Marines called for backup from the headquarters, I heard that they are sending one of their best for this funeral."

Man #1: "That is why our boss contacted a professional for this job. I was there when he called the contractor, he wanted half of our reward for the job. I don't like it but I don't want to fight Marines from headquarters, I rather fight the guards than face one of them."

Man #2: "I know, don't even know who offered this job but as long as we get paid I don't care. Let that contractor do all the heavy work, this might become an easy job."

Two men changed their conversation when the waitress came to refill their drinks. They thought no one heard their conversation but one person sure heard everything and learned the assassination plot. David changed his focus to other people as they were talking about upcoming funeral dates and how busy they are from preparation for royals from the capital city. David had enough information and decided to leave the pub as he recalled Ninja Khans except for two, 'So, Baron of Urani died 5 days ago and local criminals got a contract to kill the next Baron when they announce after the funeral which is happening in 2 days. The person who offers this contract may be a person in the second or third line to inherit the title.' Finishing this thought David decided to call it a night and went to the inn.

Next Day,

David walked around in the city to gather more detail on the upcoming funeral. The city was busy with funeral preparation and welcoming mat for their king, thankfully, World Nobles won't be attending as this was a small matter for them to know. By afternoon, David learned significant amounts of information about Baron's family and their names. Baron Varus has four children, two girls and two boys to his name, their names are Vena, Berton, Garth and Cecilia (In this order). According to the local bartender, Cecilia is a child of Baron's second wife who passed away after Cecilia's birth. Cecilia left the island 9 years ago at age of 10 with Baron's old friend to learn oversea. Meanwhile, his three remaining children Vena, Berton and Garth remained on the island and abused their power as typical noble do. 'I know it sounds obvious but Cecilia could be the next successor even though she is the child of the second wife and last in the line.' Then, a loud cheer can be heard from the main street as people wave their hands and welcome them. David popped his head to see the new arrivals almost dropped his jaw, it was a march of Marines and the one who is leading them is none other than Z himself, the instructor of Navy Headquarters.

Z or rather known as Instructor Zephyr still looks the same as last time David saw him years ago except he has black metal arm guards and a scar in his left face. 'Looks like he survived the fight and didn't lose his right arm.' David thought as he saw a young female Marine officer with the rank of Ensign walking behind Z. Ensign is the lowest rank within commissioned officers but has permission to wear the letter 'Justice' in the back of the uniform. "Ensign Adriel, we are going straight to Baron's residence and taking over the security detail. Stay focused and remain vigilant." Z spoke as he led his troops to the noble district while David overheard conversation using Ninja Khan as he observed the two officers. David never saw Ensign Adriel before both in manga or in anime in his previous world. Her appearance is slim with a toned body, aged around 17 to 19, average height with long red hair and has a western-style sword with tiger pommel in her back. 'She is beautiful, in equal terms or close to Nami and Princess Vivi. I guess altering Z's past also changed his decision to take more promising students under his wing after the battle.' David came up with a reasonable conclusion and left the main street to return to the inn. That evening, David gathered enough intel and came up with an idea to infiltrate the funeral tomorrow.

Next Day,

David's POV

"If you are from the press, please show us your identification card and bags for inspection." One of the marines instructed as various people entered the main gate of the Baron's residence. Currently, I passed the inspection while wearing a dark grey suit with black ties, and an ID card of WENP (World Economy News Paper). Last night, I used the Ninja Khans to obtain the ID card from one of the reporters in the city and made a copy with my picture on it. I also put the reporter in a deep sleep using potion from the shop to avoid any contradiction during an inspection. I didn't use monkey or rooster talisman because of Z's Observation Haki, with his advanced Haki, he could see the aura of living beings around the mansion and if he saw a small bird change to human or person flew over the fence he could immediately notice the intruders.

Following the reporters, I ended up in the back of the dancehall where the funeral was going to take place. The first thing I noticed when I entered the large room was the decorations of countless armors, weapons and mounted animal heads in the room. Second is the guests sitting on chairs. Nobles, Z with his student and the royal family who are in the front seats. Lastly, a black devil mask hanging in the wall with other decorations right above the black coffin. Instantly when I saw the mask I knew it was one of the Oni masks, adding additional tasks into my mission.

The funeral service began and Baron's first wife, his sons and daughter gave their speech but there was no genuine sadness, only acts from all four. After Garth finishes his speech, the minister asks for the next person, Cecilia a second daughter to give the speech. There was a silence until Ensign Adriel stood up and walked into the podium, "My full name is Varus A. Cecilia and I'm here not as an officer of the Navy but, as a daughter of Baron Var..." Before she could finish her sentence, a mounted head of a lion on the wall moved and broke through, showing the whole body. With a single moment, a lion changed to a large man with mane and metal mask. Major Undertaker, also known as Drug Peclo finally reveals himself.
