Dragon Sorcerer In One Piece

Chapter 53 - That Damn Seagull

Shiki the Golden Lion, also known as the "Captain of the Flying Pirate" is one of the few remaining remnants of the Gol D Roger's era of piracy. Before taking his place as an 'Admiral' of the Golden Lion Pirates, he was the former crew member of the Rocks Pirates and holds fearsome devil fruit power known as Float-Float devil fruit power which allows Shiki to levitate himself and other non-living objects at his will as long as he touches it first. Shiki is also the first person to escape the Impel Down, the World Government's underwater prison. After learning of Gol D Roger's imprisonment, Shiki attacked Marineford all by himself to demand Roger but ended up captured by Sengoku and Garp before destroying half of Marineford. He managed to escape the Impel Down by cutting his own shackled legs and later replacing them with his two swords as prosthetic limbs.

"Why in the world does that old lion want to be with me?" Hades is currently floating above destroyed 7 sh.i.p.s while levitating one of the enemy captains using his rooster talisman. 10 minutes ago, Hades returned the enemy's cannonballs with devastating accuracy and wiped out half of the sh.i.p.s with a single gesture of his right finger. When he got there, he levitated the rest of the sh.i.p.s and cut them into pieces using his greatsword 'Rebellion'. Destroying the remaining sh.i.p.s and leaving the pirates defenseless and shipless on the ocean.

"I'll ask again, why did your boss send you guys to attack my resort island? Does he want to experience the same faith as Doflamingo?" Hades asks again as he turns the enemy captain upside down at his eye level.

"No, please don't kill me. The only thing we were told by our boss is to bring you in, that is all. I don't know what he wants to do with you." The terrified pirate captain said everything he knew and begged Hades not to kill him. Seeing this, Hades decided to send a warning to the Shiki as currently, he has to deal with the Navy.

"I won't kill you, but you will help me send a message to that old fool. Here, take this." Hades gave the enemy captain a Den Den Mushi and dropped him into the ocean beneath him. When Den Den Mushi makes it to Shiki, he will contact Hades before making any rash decision to attack Hades again. When Hades figures out what that old lion wants, he will either make another deal with a powerful pirate or cripple him to the point Shiki won't bother him ever again.

'I guess that was enough to warm up before going to Marineford. Time to visit Fleet Admiral.' Hades then pulls out a Panku box from his inventory and attaches it to his belt just in case he meets Aokiji. It's been a while since he fought the demon sorcerer and he is close to completing the collecting demons' essence.

Sometime Later,

Marineford,

In his new table, Fleet Admiral Sengoku was going through paperwork as usual and stressed over yesterday's destruction of the first Endpoint. To prevent the destruction of the other two Endpoints, Sengoku sent Kizaru to the second and redirected Akainu to the third Endpoint. Meanwhile, Aokiji reminds the Marineford on standby order just in case someone gets a funny idea during this crisis.

'One after another, there is no ending to these headaches. The only information from the CP0 agent was Hades's location which hasn't changed for the past few weeks. So, he can't be the one who stole the damn stones, but I'm sure he has something to do with it.' Fleet Admiral Sengoku was certain that Hades was the culprit as recent uproars were centered around him but what bothered him more was the lack of information on Hades. According to Zephyr, he and his student encountered someone named David Kastner, a low-level thief but a powerful fighter.

After hearing from Zephyr, Sengoku believed at first that David was a CP agent due to his fighting ability of Six Style but after a short investigation there was no record of David. Also, there is no record of David on the Navy's record or other World Government organizations. In the end, Sengoku concluded that 'David' to be one of the underlings of Hades or worse, David Kastner is Hades's real name and completely went under the radar until now. This means Hades went to great lengths to hide his true identity and history to achieve his goal of becoming King of the Underworld.

"You look stressed out Fleet Admiral. Maybe you should take a vacation, may I recommend Gold Resort island? They have great programs to help you relax." An unknown voice came from the office balcony which to Sengoku's surprise didn't detect before. From the balcony, Hades suddenly appeared out of nowhere with Dyna Stone in his hand. Seeing Hades, Sengoku remained calm but his eyes were burning with rage. A young punk who came to his office with stolen government property just made his mood much worse, not to mention it proves that Hades was the one who destroyed the first Endpoint.

"You better came here to say that you accept the position of the Warlord of the Sea or else I will personally execute you myself, Hades," Sengoku said to the young king but Hades casually walked to the office couch and placed the Dyna Stone on the table and sat down like it was normal.

"Geez, old man. I came here to make a deal, not for a fight. As you can guess, yesterday, I stole all of your Dyna Stones and destroyed the first Endpoint." Hades casually said to the Fleet Admiral who instantly got up from his chair to attack Hades with pure anger. Before Sengoku could get close, Hades pulled out a detonator from his jacket and pressed the button which caused multiple small explosions on the various places on Marineford. Seeing this, Sengoku froze where he stood as he realized what just happened. He is about to witness the destruction of everyone on the Marineford and base itself to which he couldn't do anything to stop it.

With great flash, a gigantic fire engulfs everything including the main building. Sengoku, his goat and Hades who are still on the couch eventually face their destruction as the entire Marinford disappears and is replaced with a large mushroom cloud.

"NO!!!" Fleet Admiral Sengoku yelled out loud, waking up from sleep with cold sweats and a sudden spike of adrenaline level. Checking his surroundings, the Fleet Admiral realized that he fell asleep in his office and it is now late at night. Sengoku tried to calm himself but immediately went to his fighting stance as he sensed another presence in his office. From the dark corner, Hades steps forward with a bottle of sake in hand.

"YOU! How did you get in here and what did you do to me?" Sengoku yelled but before he could get his answer, Hades tossed him a bottle of sake which he caught. Checking the bottle, Sengoku realized that it was one of his favorite sake, a rather old one at that.

"Calm yourself before your blood pressure reaches Sky Island. I'll explain everything afterward." Hades said and took a seat on the couch which gave very familiar dejavu. Seeing this, Sengoku sat down and drank half of the bottle before putting it down on the table. At this point, Sengoku determined that Hades came here to talk instead of seeking to fight if he troubled himself to visit Fleet Admiral's office.

"Now, what do you want Hades? Or should I call you David Kastner?" Sengoku asked the young man to test his theory. Hearing his real name from the Fleet Admiral, Hades didn't react or show discomfort but rather he laughed as if he heard a joke from the old man.

"Fleet Admiral, at this point, does it matter what my name is? What matters right now is what I have to say. I showed you in your dream what I can do, the complete annihilation of the Navy, including you and myself if it comes to it." Then, Hades pulls out the same detonator from his jacket just like in Sengoku's dream and puts it on the table.

"Let me be clear. I don't care if I have to take half of the world with me to the afterlife. I use the company on the way to hell. That is unless you agree to my terms, of course." Hearing this, Sengoku clenches his fists but remains seated to hear the rest of Hades's demand.

"It's simple. I'm officially declining your invitation to become Seven Warlord of the Sea. Also, my Underworld will no longer pay Heavenly Tribute from now on to those inbred idiots so-called World Nobles or 'Saints'. Agree to these and I won't light up the Dyna Stones like firecrackers." Hades said to the Fleet Admiral and waited for his answer as Sengoku went to deep thought for a few minutes.

"Are you out of your mind? Your answer to refusing the Warlord position is easy, but withdrawing from paying the Heavenly Tribute completely? The whole Underworld at that? That isn't something you can just simply walk away from without paying the heavy price. Believe me, you don't want World Nobles to call upon Buster Call on your territories." Fleet Admiral said to the Hades with concern. Sengoku isn't a fan of the World Nobles but if they learn of this, the World Nobles will demand a fire and blood on every Underworld island Hades holds, which is 80% of the known world criminal underworld.

"That is your problem. Either I burn the world or those fools will. I will wait for your answer after you talk to the Five Elders." When Hades mentioned the Five Elders, Sengoku got more questions than answers from this conversation as simply not many knew the existence of the Five Elders.

Hades, done with conversation got up and walked to the balcony then jumped. Seeing this, Sengoku went to the balcony but the only thing he saw was a flock of seagulls flying away. Seeing this, Sengoku remembered an event a few years ago when a large group of Beast Pirates attacked Marineford. What he remembered most that day was one unusual seagull in his office balcony and a strange message related to pirate spy Vergo, whom he put away to Impel Down.

"That damn seagull," Sengoku whispered to himself and finished the sake bottle.
