The Year 1498, West Blue,

After leaving Roger and his pirate group, Douglas Bullet decided to visit all four blue seas to train himself and search for potential opponents to fight. Bullet's first blue sea is West Blue, there isn't much in this sea except it is home to Shanks, Ohara the largest library island in the world and Kano Country. The most worthy opponent Bullet could remember is Don Chinjao from Kano Country. That old man is the current head of the leader of the Happo Navy was a formidable opponent but unfortunately, he got himself defeated by Vice Admiral Garp 4 years ago, so he is not in his prime strength. Because of this reason, Bullet decided to search for other powerful fighters in the West Blue to test his level of strength.

After months of searching the West Blue, Bullet's search came to an end when he found a young woman (Around 19 or 20) challenging him into a duel. At first, Bullet thought it was a joke or something but this woman gave a weird vibe which made Bullet take the challenge seriously. The woman is wearing an orange vest, long sleeve peach shirt, brown suit pants and a black fur coat over her shoulder. One thing about her is that she was smoking a cigar and has a long scar horizontally over the bridge of her nose.

"Douglas Bullet, since you are from the Grand Line, I want to test my strength against you and see if I'm powerful enough to sail there," The woman said to Bullet and place her bag on the ground.

"You took words right out of my mouth. Show me what West Blue got to offer on the scale of strength-wise. By the way, you know who I'm so I have to ask, what is your name?" Bullet asked the woman as a courtesy to which she did the same by giving her name to him.

"You can call me Crocodile. Remember that name since I will become the Pirate King one day," Crocodile declared her dream to Bullet which made him pause for a few seconds to process the information he just received.

"You want to be a Pirate King? Isn't it much fitting to be called Pirate Queen? Since you are a girl?" Bullet said to Crocodile, to which enraged her as she unleashed her devil fruit power on to him.

"I know I'm a girl, but I can call myself whatever I want when I become King of the Pirates!" With that, Crocodile sent powerful Desert Spada at Bullet but to her surprise, the attack was blocked as Bullet's hands turned to black. For the first time in Crocodile's life, someone managed to stop her logia devil fruit attack and survive to look back at her in the eyes.

"Hm, a logia devil fruit, sand at that. Didn't expect to see this kind of power from the Blue Sea. I guess I made the right choice to come to West Blue after all. Now, let me show you what Grand Line has to offer for you," Bullet, after dusting his hands off, unleashes his Conqueror's Haki at Crocodile. When the Haki hit Crocodile, it put her to her knees as she experienced an overwhelming force she never experienced before. But, Crocodile endured Bullet's Haki with pure force of her will to which it surprised Bullet.

Seeing how the sand girl is fighting back, Bullet stops his Haki and prepares himself for a close combat fight. To win against Roger, Bullet needs to get stronger and this means that he needs to face various types of opponents. Right now, an opponent with logia devil fruit is a great opportunity to test his Armament Haki and physical ability to measure his strength.

"What you experienced just now is the level you need to have to survive the Grand Line. But what I want to experience right now is how to fight against logia users since each of them has different elements." Bullet said to Crocodile which made her once again angry as she saw this as Bullet's excuse to handicapping himself since he is fighting a woman.

"I will make you eat your word after I turn you into a husk of a man," Crocodile then placed her hand on the ground to turn the entire ground into sand. Seeing this, Bullet began to smile and cover his entire body into Armament Haki. On this day, Bullet fought a West Blue rookie pirate Crocodile for two days and two nights which resulted in a draw. But Bullet learned valuable three lessons which he won't forget.

One: Logia users depend on their devil fruit more than two other types of users

Two: Takedown the female fighter quickly as possible as a woman make the fight very very personal

Three: Watch out for kicks in the groin. Especially when you reject the girl's invitation to join her pirate group (Also because she isn't your type and has crazy eyes).

The Year 1499, North Blue,

"Roger finally did it, he found the One Piece and became a Pirate King!" Bullet said to himself after reading the newspaper at least four times. Currently, Douglas Bullet is sailing on the North Blue to continue his training and pursuit of one particular Sea King that devastates a couple of islands. Ever since Bullet left the Roger Pirates, Bullet decided to be a lone wolf as friends and allies only hold him back from accomplishing his ultimate goal of becoming the strongest in the world. Thanks to Bullet's Clank Clank fruit, he can manipulate his ship at will as he made his ship using materials from previous pirates he defeated.

"Now that Roger achieved his dream, it won't be long before I achieve mine. Watch me, Roger, I will come back and beat the living hell out of you after I finish my pursuit of strength." As Bullet reassures his goal to himself, a giant portion of the ocean rises from the sea to reveal what was underwater.

A colossal size serpent-like Sea King, five times bigger than a Navy ship surfaced and opened its mouth to devour Bullet's ship. Just as the Sea King got close to shallow the ship whole, Bullet activated his devil fruit to assemble a large portion of his ship into an exoskeleton with multiple artillery cannons mounted on its shoulder. Turning his ship into a half ship half heavy weapon, Bullet began his bombardment on the Sea King to kill it.

"I will push my devil fruit to the point where I can awaken it and use its full potential. I will surpass you, Pirate King Roger! I will make you see that I'm worthy of becoming your successor in the future."

The Year 1500, Day after Gol D Roger's Execution,

"WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT! How did Roger get himself captured by the Navy and got himself killed? This must be a joke or something, after all these years Roger fought against the Navy, he never lost a fight. There is no way I will believe this BS." Bullet angrily ripped the newspaper and smashed the boulder next to him.

Bullet just returned from the jungle to collect supplies to continue his voyage so he was gone for a few days. So imagine his surprise when he received a newspaper from News Coo and saw the front page of the newspaper.

[King of the Pirates, Gold Roger sentenced to death by the World Government]

'After being captured by the Navy, Gold Roger was sentenced to death by the judicial court of the World Government. To symbolize the beginning and end of Roger's piracy, the execution was done yesterday at his home island, Loguetown. Just before he took his final breath, Gold Roger announced to the world where he left his treasure, One Piece.

The final word from the former Pirate King embarks on the new era of piracy as many of the pirates surface from the shadow to seek the 'One Piece' hidden somewhere on the Grand Line.

Representatives from the Navy and World Government didn't give any comments after Gold Roger's death at this moment. But, The World Economy News Paper received new information that Gold Roger's body will be hung on the Loguetown while his head will be placed somewhere in the Holy Land Mary Geoise.'

After a few hours of releasing his rage on the island, Bullet decided to return to the Grand Line but before that, he had to visit one place he must visit before entering Paradise. Placing the supplies on to his ship, Bullet uses his devil fruit to transform the entire ship into a submarine. With everything ready to go, Bullet set a new destination to his voyage, a beginning and end of Gol D Roger, the Loguetown.

The Year 1501, Somewhere in the Paradise,

Douglas Bullet sank four pirate sh.i.p.s all by himself and wiped out half of the pirate groups including their captain on the island. To his disappointment, Bullet still has yet to find anyone close to match Roger's strength or satisfy his hunger for challenge.

The reason why he almost wiped out this particular pirate group started three days ago when the captain of this pirate group decided to mock Roger Pirates and Gol D Roger.

"Roger was a fool to get captured by the Navy and get himself killed by them. If I met Roger, I would have killed him with my b.a.r.e hand and take the title of Pirate King for myself. That is why when we get to the New World, I will claim the One Piece and destroy the Navy to show the world I'm the strongest." The captain of the Grizzly Pirate groups said to his men in the bar. Everyone in the bar cheered with high spirit but this came to an end when the entire building dropped into the bar.

Bullet, who was passing by the bar, heard what the captain of the Grizzly Pirates said a few seconds ago. Unable to let this go, Bullet grabbed the building across the road and dropped right on top of the bar which crushed everyone inside. Only a few strong individuals managed to survive the surprise attack but unlucky for them, Bullet was waiting for them which immediately began to fight anyone in his arm's reach.

"Who dares to attack me and my men? Do you know who I am? I'm Robert Southey, captain of the Grizzly Pirates and future King of the Pirates!" Captain Southey said out loud after removing two of his men on top of him. The threat didn't do much as Bullet is now on the rampage as he crushes one of the pirate's heads with his hand. Seeing this, Captain Southey panicked for a second but immediately used his Bear Bear fruit model: Grizzly Bear to transform into a hybrid form to fight a single man. The appearance of the zoan devil fruit user didn't faze Bullet as he dropped his latest victim and turned around to face the grizzly Bearman.

"You said you could beat Roger? Ha, you have a big dream for a dead man," Bullet said to Captain Southey as if a captain of the four sh.i.p.s and a devil fruit user is nothing but a joke. This enrages the Bearman as his remaining crewmates gather around him with weapons out, seeing the additional reinforcement with him.

"I want this fool's head!" Captain Southey gave his order to which all of his men attacked Bullet head-on. With a big smile and blood l.u.s.t, Douglas Bullet imbued Armament Haki to crush insects in front of him.

Three Days Later,

After three days of destruction on the port island, Fleet Admiral Kong sent half of Paradise Branch Navy sh.i.p.s and two of his best men to handle the Bullet once and for all. These two men are Admiral Sengoku the genius strategist and Vice Admiral Garp the hero of the Marine.

"Damn it, I thought Roger's crew went into hiding after their captain's death. Why does it have to be this guy who started making havoc?" Garp said to his friend Sengoku as he watched a large number of marines deployed to the island shores. It should be him heading to the frontline but for some reason, Kong gave him strict instruction not to fight Bullet until further instructions are given.

"They will stay hidden if they have a brain. Unfortunately, Bullet doesn't have one since he doesn't bother to stay quiet. I swear, I expected the world to be quiet after Roger's death but instead, we got more pirates sailing every day and our forces are spread thin." Sengoku sighs as he adds more problems to Garp's comment. Because of Roger's final words, the pirates gain new motivation to conquer the ocean and set sail to find the One Piece.

With the destruction of Rocks Pirates and now Roger Pirates, the Navy thought they would reduce the pirate threats but it just created more problems. Even now, the other half of the Navy fleet in Paradise is currently fighting against new Supernovas and sieging pirate hideouts. Kong sent Sengoku and Garp to handle Douglas Bullet because he believed the former crewmate of Roger Pirates will cause more damage than new pirates all combined (For the record Bullet doesn't even know where Raftel but know what happened after talking to a few of the former crewmates after entering the Grand Line).

"If I know Douglas Bullet, I'm sure someone was talking trash about Roger. I only met him a few times but he is dangerous enough that only Roger was the one who could handle him. Douglas Bullet may be a muscle brain and a troublemaker but he has great respect for Roger to start a war against a country if they mess with him, just like his former captain did for his crewmate." Garp explains Bullet's profile to his friend and opens a bag of ch.i.p.s. As this was going on, a former port island began to show more destruction as smoke clouds began to appear in the distance. The second wave of Marines landed on the island to attack a single man who wiped out both pirates and the first wave of marines but this was a useless strategy as Bullet continued his mindless rampage.

Seen enough of the pointless sacrifice of marines, Garp was about to walk towards one of the boats but he was stopped by the call from Den Den Mushi directly connected to Fleet Admiral Kong.

"This is Sengoku," Admiral Sengoku picks up the communication snail and waits for Kong to give further instruction.

"Admiral Sengoku, Stop sending troops and prepare all sh.i.p.s for heavy artillery bombardment. I'm ordering Buster Call to finish this once and for all." The last words from Fleet Admiral Kong surprised both Sengoku and Garp. The use of Buster Call for just one man is unheard of but coming from Kong means something went wrong.

"Fleet Admiral, let me handle the Bullet. We still have troops on the island right now and annihilating the entire island for a single person is ridiculous," Garp snatches the Den Den Mushi from the Sengoku and says to Kong but Garp got scorned by the Fleet Admiral immediately.

"Damn it, Garp, don't you think I know that? I didn't send you to fight Douglas Bullet because right now, Whitebeard began a campaign to claim islands as his territory. I need both of you ready to fight Whitebeard Pirates if it means I have to wipe out the entire island from the map." Fleet Admiral Kong then cleared his voice to return to normal mindset and repeat his last order.

"Commence Buster Call and confirm either death or capture of Douglas Bullet afterward." The Den Den Mushi then turned off and Sengoku grabbed the second snail to give his new order to all sh.i.p.s surrounding the island.

"This is Admiral Sengoku. Stop all troop deployment and begin code: Buster Call. I will say this again, all sh.i.p.s stop third troop deployment and begin preparation for code: Buster Call." Sengoku then puts down Den Den Mushi and faces the war-torn island while Garp stands next to him with irritation on his face.

"You know this won't kill him, you know that right? We are going to sentence all those men into the death gate just so we can end this quickly." Garp quietly said to his friend while Sengoku closed his eyes to pray for the marines on the island not knowing their end was coming.

Five minutes later,

Bullet stands on top of defeated enemies and destroyed sh.i.p.s but his rage isn't extinguished yet as he searches for more enemies to fight. Then, he turned around to see every heavy cannon aiming where he is and a second later, multiple cannonballs fired at him. With pure rage, Bullet screams his lungs out and activates his devil fruit to create his artillery weapons to fire back.

Unfortunately, in the end, Bullet wasn't strong enough and got captured by the Navy after seven hours of Buster Call bombardment. Five days later, Bullet ended up in Impel Down's level 6 with a sentence to imprisonment for life, forever locked up and to be forgotten until the young man named Hades set him free to work for him.

- Bullet learned of Roger's illness and started to doubt beating Roger in a fair fight.

- Fought Roger for the last time and lost which later left the Roger Pirates.

- Bullet's age at this time was age 18.

The year 1498:

- Douglas Bullet fought Crocodile which ended in a draw.

- Bullet's age at this time was age 19.

The year 1499:

- Roger finds One Piece and becomes King of the Pirates.

The year 1500:

- Roger is executed and ignites 'The Great Age of Pirates'.

- Bullet's age at this time was 21.

The year 1501:

- Bullet fought a battalion of Marines led by Sengoku and Garp with assistance from the pirate crew Bullet defeated previously. This resulted in the Buster Call to the island and imprisoned to Impel Down level 6.

- Bullet's age at this time was 22.

The year 1522:

- Beginning of the Straw Hat Luffy's journey.

- Bullet's age at this time was 43.
