David's POV

Z's Home Island

I'm experiencing what Z was dreaming, I was standing in the middle of a port town as townsfolk go about their daily business. While looking around, a large man with marine cloth passes me, heading toward a house up in the hill. It was Admiral Z or Zephyr, he is smiling and happy as he is currently visiting his family, his wife and son who is the world to him.

Suddenly, I heard a scream, I turned around to see the entire town on fire and streets soaked on blood. I panicked and turned around to see Z on the ground in his knees, next to his dead wife and dying son. I couldn't stomach to see this, so I ran away from this place and towards the forest.

Marineford, Fleet Admiral's Office

By the time I realized where I was, I was now in the Fleet Admiral's office back in Marineford, where Kong, Sengoku and Z were in the meeting. Kong speaks to Z, "I understand why you want to resign from the Marines, but we need you here." Sengoku speaks next, "You don't have to participate in the battle, but you can be an instructor and train the next generation of marines." Z didn't speak or looked at his friends, but he was in deep thought, his dream of making a 'Hero' and a better world, where his tragedy won't be happening to others. Z finally spoke, "I will accept, but I will teach them my way." I saw a grin on Z's face and fire from his eyes as he stood up with a new determination to create a hero from his childhood dream.

Marineford, Training Ground

Now, I was standing in the Marineford training ground, where marine cadets are standing in formation. Z, now much older, appeared out of nowhere and started to give his speech, "So, you guys are the new blood for me to spill, I'm Instructor Zephyr, and it's my job to make sure you guys survive the battlefield. Some of you experienced battle prior to coming here, but in the Grandline, you guys are just children with rifles and white uniforms playing Navy." No cadets spoke or flinched as Z gave a quick look, he gave a loud order, "NOW, GEAR UP AND BOARD THE SHIP, WE ARE GOING ON A SURVIVAL TRAINING FOR WHOLE MONTH!" As I saw Z and his students leave the training ground, my environment once again changed and this time it wasn't his memory from his past.

The Archive

I was alone in the large empty library with tons of books on the bookshelves, in my right, the books were clean and brand new while on my left, the books were old, old enough to turn dust if I tried to open it. Each book has its own titles such as {First day as a Marine}, {Weapons Training Volume 1-15}, {Son's First birthday}, and etc. I realized that I'm in the library of Z's memories and each book contains memories of Z's life.

I opened one of the clean books and saw his experience from 3 years ago, Z was teaching cadets how to use Soru, one of Rokushiki, the six styles which Cipher Pol and marine officers use to fight their enemies. After closing the book, I understood the fundamentals of Soru but not fully. Back in the bookshelves, I searched the left side of the bookshelves and found a book I was looking for, titled {Mastery of Rokushiki Volume 1-7}.

I was about to grab the book, but I notice how fragile it looks, possibly turning it to dust if I try to read it. I thought about it for 5 minutes and got an idea so crazy it might work; I opened the shop system, searched for a scanning item and found the perfect item to make a copy without destroying the memory book. I purchase 100 digital scanner bots that scan the entire memory book without touching it, with it I'll be able to scan multiple memories at the same time.

30 minutes later, I managed to retrieve memories of all 7 Rokushiki, 15 Weapons training, 20 Fighting styles, Observation Haki and Armament Haki, in the end, this was the biggest harvest next to the heist of Mary Geoise. Just as I finish my inventory, suddenly, I get ejected from Z's dream as he starts to wake up from his sleep. Realizing that it was already morning, I quickly left the room, by the time I got back into my body everyone was up getting ready for today's training.

David managed to retrieve all of Zephyr's combat training and experiences that came with it. It was a miracle that his shop/inventory works while using a sheep talisman, this new discovery became a game-changer for David as he can now gain years of battle experiences and skills of others within a day. So, when the rest of the cadets are training in the ship, David was uploading the memory books into his mind, making him more experienced than cadets in the ship.

When David finished his upload process, he was tired due to mental fatigue, this was expected since he literally learned everything that Zephyr knew. The only problem was that David's current physical strength isn't compatible with haki or Rokushiki (yet). Not to mention, he cannot withstand the stress if he manages to use it, so David's plan is to collect all memories of other marines until he makes it to East Blue and starts his physical training.

David thought of a way to repay Zephyr, by using his shop system, David found two items that could help him. The first item is a 'Memory Filter', which allows the person to remember or forget the targeted memory. The second item is called 'Heart of Alpha Wolf', it allows the user to increase his or her physical and mental status by x2 for each ally within 2 miles radius. David's plan is to help Zephyr's mental health by giving him positive memories each night and give a huge boost when he fights the pirate with devil fruit in the future. With his shopping done, David decided to catch up on his sleep until nightfall so he can execute Operation: Good Deed.
