Dream Life

Episode Twenty-five: Mother's Pregnancy

November 20th.

The wedding of Enos and Gene was taking place in the only temple in the village of Rasmore.

My grandfather had invited priests from the city of Bogwood for both of them. The two ceremonies are presented in a harsh atmosphere.

The wedding itself was as simple as receiving God of Man's Blessings (Wita), but the reception ensued.

Enos has been given a courtesy garment by his father based on the military uniform of the Caerm Empire, which he wears around him. And on his waist hung a splendid sword lent by his grandfather.

Gene wraps around a white dress given to her by her mother and bright red hair is decorated with white flowers.

(Enos is not a 753 boy, but you feel worn in clothes. I thought Gene was a daughter who felt like a lot of people, but you were pretty beautiful. Mother, Claire - Sharon's mother - and you didn't notice because you're surrounded by beauties like Liddy...)

The two head to the Black Ikebuki Pavilion dressed as they are.

You are adorable that the carriage is a carriage, but you are nevertheless hung one blessing after another by the people of the village, and the two wave in embarrassment.

As soon as we reached the Black Ikebuki Pavilion, the banquet began.

My grandfather wanted to have a reception at the mansion, but he suggested I do it at the Black Ikebuki.

Enos is in a position like his father's deputy, and Gene also has less interaction with the villagers because the main job is to help with the mansion. I suggested to my father and grandfather that I should use this opportunity to interact with the villagers a little more.

The villagers knew Gene was the daughter of Nicholas and Kate, who were being looked after in the village's operations, and so many people were gathered together that it seemed like a harvest festival.

The feast begins with my grandfather's greeting, but he seems to be a Lockhart family who doesn't like being ruthless, and the feast goes on without courtesy.

Because Nicholas takes care of us, and the two of us are given a variety of celebratory objects, and that becomes like a mountain. There is nothing expensive about it, such as cheese and other ingredients, bunches of yarn made of wool or simple cages made of wax, but it was something they made with all their heart.

My grandfather and father were surprised by the sight.

Nicholas is popular with villagers because he realizes that it is quite detailed.

I also advised who to barter with because I know who the wheat is bad and who the beans are good. Where I have sick children, I've asked Guy to go into the woods to get me some medicinal herbs to deliver them.

This is the first time I've noticed that I've come to work with you, but perhaps neither my father nor my grandfather thought you were admired so far.

(As a matter of fact, I think Nicholas has enough talent in the Lockhart family. I can be attentive, and there are places like knowing ten if you ask one...)

I watched my grandfather's face still amazed there.

(You just let Doctus study abroad. But I guess you didn't even think Nicholas was admired so far)

At the reception Enos was drunk until he was velvety.

(I wonder what will happen this first night. You just didn't think that far......)

Neither did I, the mastermind who set this reception up, until just about the night.

(Well, I believe that around my mother will follow me...)

They said the reception lasted until night, but we kids are going back to the mansion at about 3: 00 p.m.

On the way home, Mel and Sharon stuck together more than usual to see what Gene looked like.

Liddy, who saw it, said she hated it, "You can have it," and went away with Puy.

I don't think you have to be jealous of your child, but it's funny, so I left it there.

Do you want me to know that night? There were lots of sweet tricks.

(You really have a mental age of four. Elves are said to have ten times the life span of humans, but do they also grow ten times slower in spirit? Then don't do the math...)

When I was thinking about that, Liddy noticed, "Are you thinking of anything rude? I'm going to say.

I said, "I just thought Liddy was cute," and I teased her, "You thought she was childish," but she pointed her mouth.

(That's where I look like a child...... okay. This is cute and...)

I don't know what happened to Enos and Gene's first night, but I guess it worked out because we're still getting along after the next day.

In December, cold winds blow through the hills and the village of Rasmore starts winter makeup all at once.

The sky was covered with heavy clouds of gray, and the earth was dyed gray and brown. The hills, which were so colorful in the summer, are also turning into monotones.

The pavilion hill with the mansion was also frosty, and the puking breath of the horses walking in the stable was blowing up white.

Sometimes the daylight hours were shorter, and morning training began to take place in the dark.

My brother and I will desperately gesture in the magic props of the lights my grandfather prepares.

My swordsmanship level has gone up to three, and I feel like I'm starting to shape my bareback, somehow. But the moment I see my grandfather's bare hands, I reconsider that I haven't made that historic difference yet.

I wondered about the level, so Nicholas taught me.

First, they say "level” is officially “occupational level”. It represents the level of a “profession” called a swordsman, where skill levels - such as swordsmanship - and those that do not appear but have a lower level of experience are displayed as occupational levels.

In other words, the skill level represents the skill gained through training, etc., but the skill level is lower for those who have no experience, even if they have the skill.

So I wondered, my swordsman level is the same as my skill level. I also asked Nicholas about it, and he said this would happen if he asked a master like his grandfather to complete his studies from scratch.

I don't know the reason, but I feel like I do.

By learning from experienced masters in action, the level of experience will increase to a certain extent because it will be a training that draws on experience. I think it's that way of thinking because they sometimes don't increase their level of experience when they teach poorly, no matter how high they are.

And he also taught me about something called a rough guide.

Speaking of swordsmiths, amateurs to the extent that Levels 1 to 5 know how to use them once and for all. Up to about fifteen is the army recruit class. Until about thirty is the general occupational military level. They say up to about fifty is the level they call veterans, and more than that is the level they call masters.

By the way, my grandfather's level is at seventy-five and he's called the master level. They say it's a level that hits the top of the third tier, referring to top notch among meritocratic mercenaries.

(If the settings at the time of character creation were correct, swordsmanship would have had the talent to reach level eighty, and the acquisition speed is three times that of a normal person, but you have no sense of it at all. Mel is up at about the same pace, and Dan isn't making that much of a difference. I wonder what's going on......)

I was a little disgusted with the level of swordsmanship I couldn't get up to.

When I ask my grandfather, he says that level three is unlikely at the age of four, but it takes me six months to recede into the assessment of the degree of amateur.

On the other hand, the magic one is going up well.

Every day, thanks to the fact that we consume magic until we are on the verge of running out of magic, in the three months since September, light and wind are up to level two, fire, trees, water and earth are up to level one. Can't you convey the image well about darkness and gold, the level hasn't risen?

As Liddy said, I feel like if I raise the attributes I'm good at, the other attributes go up faster.

December 13th, when the first snow struck.

My father made the announcement at dinner that my mother was pregnant.

After the third month, the result of a look at Grandma Dorothy, a healer who also had a midwife, was that she was due to give birth next year, around June of 3007 Calendar Tria.

My maid Molly was excited about this announcement and said, "Congratulations!" He conveyed his blessing, "Get ready soon..." and was about to get up with the momentum that seemed to start preparing him for the birth even soon.

When my grandfather saw it, he said, "Calm down, Molly. More than six months away," he said, laughing at the table.

(My brother or sister...... even in my previous life I was just my older, separated brother, and I wonder what it's like. Is it more like a child or grandson than a brother...)

Next June means two years after God told me when I was summoned.

That is to say that the child to be born may be that “sent to God”. If you say I'm bound to meet, the surest way to meet will be to be a brother.

It's not unnatural to protect or teach a brother or sister.

Hopefully, my younger brother or sister who is to be born is not the son of that God. I don't know who it is, but it takes to get rid of the kid, which means he's going for his life.

Sometimes the child becomes unhappy, but I am more concerned about the unhappiness coming down on the people of this village, this House, than that.

What would I think if a revelation came down at the moment I was born that I was "a child led by destiny”? Can we wholeheartedly bless the birth of that child?

Such anxiety was swirling in my chest since I heard about my mother's pregnancy.

After dinner, I went to tell my grandfather and my father the story. Honestly, it was weird talking, but I'm talking about a kid I would have led six months ago. I'm not sure you two remember, but I'll have to say.

I go to my grandfather's room with my father. They seemed to realize that I was looking anxious, but they didn't say anything and urged me to talk.

I will tell you about the anxiety I felt.

"I think I told you before that I was told to lead God to those who would save this world. The person will be born next year."

Looks like they both noticed right away in those words.

"I mean, Tanya's belly child is the one sent to that god," the father groans.

I shake my head to the side and say, "No, I'm just saying it's possible."

"But isn't it the least natural thing to think you'll be born here than you are here?

My grandfather seems to have come to the same conclusion as me.

"I don't know until I was born, but I remember being told there was a revelation if we met. I don't know what that's like, but at least they can recognize it as something I teach and guide..."

"Both Non and Matt forgot about this. What do you think Tanya should do?

After a slight hesitation, I say, "I don't think you should talk to your mother."

To be honest, I don't know which is better. But since the child to be born is not necessarily the son of that God, I thought I didn't need to worry my mother in vain.

"Right. Unless Tanya realizes it, there's no need to waste your time. Matt, what's your point?

My father lay his eyes down and didn't open his mouth for about ten seconds.

"I'm going to not talk to you either. You'd better keep this in our breasts alone."

My father seemed to feel resistance about hiding such important things from his wife. But in the end, I followed my grandfather's opinion that I should not give him hard work.

Bringing in the harsh air, me and my father leave my grandfather's room.

"Depending on what you think, it might be better if the child was born here."

Surprised by my father, who began to speak abruptly, I look up at my father's face.

"I have a father here, too. Walt and the others. And me, too. If I were to protect the child you're born with, there's nowhere better for me than here. We can protect you and the children you're born with."

I get hot in the chest not only for the child my father is born with, but for showing me about me as well.

"I want you to be born where I am not. I can't stand this being the target of something that destroys that world."

My father said, "Right. That's what I want it to be," I say, putting that big hand on my head.

Break up with my father in front of my room, and I'll be alone.

(The next seven months seem spicy. I could have just missed a year, no, six months... but I'll do what I can to protect the child I'm born with. That's all I have......)

The next day, I added more training menus.

Because I put quite a burden on my four-year-old's body, but still wanted to do a little of what I could do.

My grandfather quietly tells me he realizes about it.

"There's no need to rush. I have both Noon and Matt. You should trust your family more."

"Exactly..."

Where I tried to argue, I could poke a harsh fact at my grandfather.

"Where you're in a hurry right now, with that body, it can't do anything in just six months. I think it's better to break my body. You'll see."

You were absolutely right. I can't do anything in a hurry right now. If you needed my help, I would have been summoned earlier.

I should make sure I have enough power at a time when I'm most in need of it. There is no ex or child in a weird hurry to break his body.

I nodded honestly and put the training menu back together.

But the next day, my grandfather told me about the change in training methods.

"It's been a long time since Dan's level of swordsmanship has increased, too. Starting today, not just bareback, but also punch in and add to training."

At this time, Dan's swordsmanship level was rising to two. By the way, Mel is already up to three.

Starting this afternoon during my training, I was to practice punching in my grandfather or Walt against him.

He won't fight back for the moment, but if he punches in badly, he's talking about being beaten from his grandfather as a punishment.

When you think it's just a stick of wood, no protective gear, just punched in from above cloth clothes, you're relieved.

I was in such a hurry yesterday, I feel sorry for myself to be scared when I start training to feel pain.

Mixed with vigilante training, afternoon training will take place as it dims around 4 p.m. in December.

The vigilante men seem to smile because the little one came with a cute wooden sword. He smiles at us, but soon he squeezes his expression in Walt's fury.

"Master Zacharias and the children of his squire are joining the training today! Don't make the kids look like shit!

We stand in front of our grandfather without looking at the vigilante.

Let's start with me.

I set the wooden sword in front of my eyes, tempered with the voice of a tall child, and struck into my grandfather's sword.

Reduce the distance by about five meters at once and wave the sword down to slap it from the top.

I can hear a hard tree called Khan meeting, but shortly after that came a blow that struck my back. I fall straight from my face to the ground and hit my nose hard.

"Keep your eyes open after you punch in! I told you to leave as soon as you hit in!

In pain, I said, "Yes!," he answers, immediately standing up and distancing himself from his grandfather.

(Ouch! There's no forgiveness either. A normal kid would cry. No, I'm gonna cry too)

You're satisfied I left, Mel's name is called.

I set up my sword and went back to where Dan was waiting, but Dan's face, who saw the unforgiving blow now, turned blue and had a look like he was about to cry.

"I'm fine. My uncle is also helping me. It hurts a little, but it's not unbearable."

For once, I'd put in a follow up, but when Mel was knocked over in front of me the same way, he was sniffing.

And it's Dan's turn.

Was he scared to see me and Mel beat up, the movement harder than usual?

The typing is also slow, and my grandfather strikes him straight in the back without taking it with his sword.

"What do we do when our enemies swallow us! I always say the battle is temperamental! Call me if you want to die!

The semi-crying Dan, nevertheless, stood up and now punched in with his full strength.

Soon after he hits his grandfather's sword and makes it sound good, his grandfather's sword strikes him in the back.

"You didn't hear what I said to Zach! Keep your eyes on the enemy!

Dan cries, putting up his sword like I did, and backs off.

After that, the training progresses without being punched in by my grandfather.

Dan's movements have also been considerably better than at the beginning when he was frightened, and he is still paying attention without alarm after punching in.

(Sure, when I get knocked into my body the first time, I don't like it, but I remember. But Mel's move is good. Why don't you pull out your brothers in a couple of months?
