Dream Life

Episode Six:

Non was so surprised to hear about Zacharias, his grandson, that he was about to lose his hips.

(Says it's another world! God chose me! It's too absurd for a kid to think about it... I thought there was something going on, but no way, this is the story so far...)

Non listened to his grandson to the end in surprise.

When I finish talking about my grandson, I try to keep my expression as calm as I can.

"They knew you had something. I don't think that's such an absurd story."

The grandson gave a discouraged look, but was surprised to see his eyes open to the next Non's words.

"Well, that's good. If you have been called to God from another world, we can only accept it."

"Can you believe it? Such an unscrupulous story..."

Non and the others had also noticed that their grandchildren had suddenly changed a year earlier. He had also been consulted by his son Masaias and his wife Tanya, and most importantly around last fall, he was suddenly surprised that he had asked me to lend him a book.

At first I ordered my son to lend me an easy book, but I have quickly said that I am tired of any book.

Non was playful and lent a specialty book entitled "Geopolitical Issues and their Historical Context in the Continent of Tria”.

Nong's former boss, Uncle Raswell Borderline, told me to read this much if I was going to be a knight, but honestly, Nong didn't really understand it.

I've lent it to Nicholas for his studies, but even that Nicholas took months to understand.

That's all Zach came to hear of the difficult letters, and he understood little about the content.

Even when Noh asked the play about the relationship between the Caerm Empire and the Union of Urban States, the Union of Urban States returned answers to the effect that it was trying to make a real profit while pretending to be obedient to the empire, which is the Sovereign Nation.

On the face of it, the Union of Urban States appears to be an independent state with fully established autonomy. At first glance alone, it does not appear to be a relationship between the Sovereign and the Subordinate States.

In practice, however, we are afraid of the military power of the empire, thinking about how to retain independence without hanging any money, and it is the truth that we are corrupt in our relations with the empire, such as not claiming possession outside the city.

If you believe the rumors, there is also talk of Aurelia - the commercial city at the heart of the Union of Urban States - supporting the Holy King Luke in shadow with independence from the Empire. It's a dedicated story about supporting the Empire's spearheads in order to point them at Lukes. I hear that others are struggling to make a profit, such as removing the tariffs on Aurelia Street that the Empire tried to hang.

The book I lent also says something to that effect, but the author was a scholar in an academic city, and the expressions around it were subtly blurred.

Other stories Zach made and told the Mels surprised me.

The stories of the North Wind and the Sun preached the importance of a rigid mix of diplomacy between force and pocket ploys, while the stories of sloppy foxes suggested that disputes between those close to them would benefit fishermen to others.

Claire - Claire Jakes. Dan and Sharon's mother, Zach's caretaker - so much so that when I heard the story, I checked with all my squire to see who taught it.

And when I found out Zach had made that story, I was more surprised than I had read the book I lent him.

I wonder what this child has.

And when I started talking to myself, honestly, I was horrified.

Sure, I thought it was absurd at first, but I've been educated comparable to scholars in another world, and I've worked in a big city like the one where hundreds of thousands of people live, up to the age of Non. That made me take it for granted.

But I also felt threatened.

I suppose you do have knowledge, and some qualities chosen by God. But if we also hang out with people who build walls, and the owners of all this talent live in a way that no one can believe, we will always go the wrong way.

When the magic story came out, Non thought.

He said he needed trustworthy friends for the future. So I decided to call Lydiane. She would lead this child, and I wonder if she could understand.

Non calls Lydia no matter what. And I'm going to be honest with her about what she thinks.

She would understand.

It was a series of surprises even after the story was over.

When we talked about sword training, we were going to flavor our setbacks today.

Zach would normally do it, but if we don't taste the setbacks, we can't be strong. I ordered monotonous training to make even my brother's rod sound in order to match it today.

Identification, Guy - Guy Jakes. Dan and Sharon's father. A servant of the Lockhart family - his son immediately turned up the sound.

But Zach is better than the ex, Hector - Hector Marron. Mel's father. The Lockhart family's squire - his daughter - did it to the end.

Plus we're both good. If you work out, you have the qualities to become a swordsman beyond Non.

That's all the guts I could see.

Non's raw reward is to train these two, and to brighten Zach's future, his grandson.

Today was a really good day.

When my son said he wanted to talk to me, I looked at my husband, Matt, and he said the time had finally come.

When our son turned three, all of a sudden, he realized his behavior had changed. Something that hurts my stomach, it's natural for my mother to realize even a few things.

First of all, I like it so pretty. She cleaned her hands and body, and sometimes cleaned them if she noticed.

Then he started asking me to read the book, and I remembered the letters amazingly fast.

When I learned the letters, I immediately started reading the book by myself and wondered if I missed you a little.

I was also surprised to learn the letters, but the most surprising thing was that I started taking care of the Mels. Until then, he was always better looked after, but if Sharon seemed lonely, he would call, and if Dan seemed bored, he would put the book aside and hang out. Even when Mel put me together, I stopped getting in the way, like before, and I stopped interrupting the Rods.

Yes, it felt like an adult watching a child.

And when Zach said, "I'm over forty adults from another world," I was surprised, but I was also convinced. Oh, I knew it was like that.

Your father-in-law seemed a little worried, but I wasn't worried at all.

There's no question about the pure little kid who said Mel, Dan, or Sharon, and he's dating his son. It may be common for an adult to deceive a child, but Zach can't be a bad person because he spends every day for nothing.

I looked at my worried looking son and accidentally hugged him.

"Zach is my child. If it was chosen by God, it would be a joy"

And hug hard,

"Besides, I didn't feel evil from you. So we were waiting for you to talk."

Yes, you are my son. My dear son.

Sure, my soul is a lot older than mine, but that doesn't matter.

I'll keep loving you. And let me try to protect you. Whatever...

My son had been chosen by God.

My wife Tanya has a face that she takes for granted, but it's still hard for me to believe.

It is possible that my son is talking nonsense, but a child of only four years of age would not tell such a bold lie in such a clear way.

But is this a pleasure?

Born in a poor house on the border like the Lockhart family.

If I were born into a wealthier house, I would also have been allowed to study more freely.

In fact, I read and learned books all by myself and achieved all that. If you let them go to school in Teito......

But it doesn't look like he wants it.

You seem really relieved to be able to stay in our house.

Then all I can do is give my son a chance.

General knowledge will not need to be learned. Probably in this village, no, because it seems like the most knowledgeable, including the city around here.

When that happens, it's still magic. My father said he would call Lydiane, but professional knowledge would still be best learned in school.

The closest magic school to Lasmore here is the Tilia School of Magic in the academic city of Doctus.

Admission is accepted from the age of twelve or so.

Zach would definitely pass, but he needs funds to study abroad.

Enrollment and tuition. I've heard enrollment isn't that expensive, but that's what wealthy aristocratic houses are saying. Plus tuition and living expenses go on forever.

But we don't have that money at home.

Eight years from now until admission? It would be the mission entrusted to me as my father to save the funds by then.

My brother is a great guy.

I was able to study better than I did before I knew it, and sometimes, he thinks and tells funny stories.

And today.

Finally, Zach became an uncle's apprentice.

Even though he was five years younger than me at nine, he kept waving his wooden sword for an hour.

I started training when I was five years old.

Still, at first I just pretended a little, my uncle scolded me and I was crying.

Sim's sister, Melissa, was also hanging in there, but Zach did it without ever throwing up a weak sound and without poking her knee.

I hate to remind you of yourself, but I think it's probably the first time I've completed my uncle's rigorous training to the end when I was six.

I couldn't do it for more than a year. Yet my brother was four years old, and from day one, too, he did it.

I thought I was cute about my brother, but I didn't care so much.

But I figured it out today.

I'm Zach's brother. He said we have to work hard to make sure we don't lose.

I will not make weak noises from today. [M]

As the eldest son of the Lockhart family and grandson of a great uncle, let's try not to lose to our brother.
