Once he finished feeding her, Haruka stood up and rummaged through the cabinet to fetch her some clothing. Unfortunately, the female garments there were all torn and the other clothing; he didn't think to make Lila wear them. Those guys have odd tastes. Haruka walked over to his cabinet and pulled out one of Erika's clothing, before making his way back over to her and placed it in the girl's hands.

Lila looked at the garments and was about to say something. But Haruka cut her off and apologized, "Sorry, bear with this for a while. I'll send someone to get your clothes."

He understood why she's unsure though, Erika's clothes to a certain extent are decent. But it's not something any normal girl would go about wearing. Haruka's thoughts broke off when he finds her gaze darkened before it flickers back down. Was it just his imagination just now?

Lila shyly looks down before pointing to the shirt he had on the counter.

Haruka blinked.

"I want to wear your shirt," Lila whispered, with a tint of red on her lovely porcelain-like skin.

Why? He felt like she did this before too. Despite his confusion, Haruka nodded. He takes the shirt from the counter, glad it was a new one and exchanges the garments the girl had in her hand.

Soft laughter escaped Lila lips as wore it. "Aha, it's too big."

This action of hers rendered Haruka speechless. That shirt looks good on her. It shows her curves perfectly. But more importantly, that bright smile of hers. Is she, thrilled, being here with him?

"Why didn't you say anything?" Haruka brought it up, while he had the chance.

Lila paused before she spoke up, "You told me not to mix work affairs and my private life."

"..Tsk, I said that. But damn, don't listen."

Lila gave him a puzzled look. Haruka did not bother explaining. He cupped her cheeks with his hand and kisses her again, this time with a gentleness he didn't know was possible for him.

"Se..senpai.."

"That's normally my policy. But I want to mix my private and work life together. So, you do the same and rely on me."

He doesn't know whether she understood. But, he extends his hand out and c.a.r.e.s.ses her cheek. Feeling her lean into his palm, he paused. Does she, want to be with him? Just like he wants to be with her? He wants to know. Will she tell him? If he is frank with her. Will he be able to understand her heart? The heart of the girl he loves.

Haruka returned the girls gesture, and she seemed surprised, "Aah um..."

"Thank you, for earlier..." Haruka thanked her.

Lila nodded shyly and laughed. "En."

He doesn't want to lose this girl. Now he's known her warmth properly; he wouldn't be able to survive without her. Maybe he's exaggerating. But, he does feel this way. He will do anything for her to remain by his side.

"Senpai?" Lila spoke up; he gave her a look and murmured something quietly, "Um repeat!"

Geez, Haruka increased his tone and asked, "I want to hug."

"Aha, okay!"

He really can't let her go.

But she had other plans.

"Senpai."

"What?"

"Your um, sleeping beside me?" Him staying beside her confused her as she looked at him with widened eyes, eyes filled with curiosity.

Right, it must be unusual for her. Usually, Haruka would have gotten up and left by now. Haruka managed a nod. No sooner had he attempted to close his eyes to sleep; he feels her inching closer. "What, are you doing?"

To his surprise, she didn't shy away, and outright said it."... I wanted to touch you a little."

A little.

Typically when he gets touched, it ends up with him sleeping with that girl. But this one doesn't have such intentions. He quickly resigned himself only to find that the girl had stopped. She looked at him for a few seconds before drawing her hands back.

.. .she must be thinking of Austin Kiryu again.

She must have realized that they aren't the same. Right, he isn't. He can't ever be that guy. He can't ever measure up to her beloved. But, just for a while longer. He pulled the girl into his arms and wrapped his arms tightly around her. The sensation felt foreign to him as it ought to. He has never been so carelessly close with another person before. Even the girls he sleeps with, he's always remained cautious and vigilant. However, there is no need to with this girl.

"Sleep."Haruka murmured against her hair.

Lila seemed very pleased, since she wore a bright smile on her face, "This is comfortable!" Haruka nodded, by now he understands these little things about her. She prefers simple things like this, Lila looked at him and asked,

"Haruka too?"

Haruka nodded, "Yeah." He isn't just saying this, laying beside her and just talking makes him feel content.

"I'm happy," Lila said.

Not willing to admit those feelings, he quickly added, "It is your birthday."

"En, is this my present?" Lila asked.

"Sort off. You'll get a proper one later."

Seeing that scene, Kanehera Yumeko walked away. She had been watching for a few minutes now. That guy has changed somewhat. Although she noticed last time, Ari-chan was sick. But now she can say so for sure. However, this kindness he's showing isn't unfamiliar to her, and that's why it's worrying. Yumeko's gaze landed on the sky.

If he can still hear her voice, what is she supposed to do? During these circ.u.mstances, what can she do? That person, you told her to take care of him. But, he always looked at her with such coldness. Just a simple cold remark from him made her heart clench in pain. She didn't mean it. Back then, but you understood and even let go of her. That day, you said, be happy, and then, then she lost you forever. Karma. Does Karma exist? Most people brush it off as superstition until that day she thought the same too. But once she lost you forever, she understood.

It's real. She lost him, the person who was the most important to all because of the feelings that make little sense. After she had lost him, she understood. It was him. He was the one she loved the most. But, she lost him forever. He left this world with that misunderstanding.
