Duchess Mira

The Young Mira looked at James' body once more not wanting to see the bloodbath behind her but then she heard whispers... whispering among themselves as she looked back at the pool of blood. "Is she the c-child?" Mira heard a voice whisper.

"Poor dear... how low as our family have gone." Another voices said.

"Tch, look what happened to the state of our family. Our downfall will soon happen that's for sure!" Another voiced cried.

"M-mama, P-papa..." Mira cried even more as she saw the blood right in front of her. Mira was trembling she didn't know what to do. Then she heard another voice whispered "It's all your fault you know... "

"W-what?" Mira turned around to look where the voice is but it was no one was there.

"Why your village burned..." Another voice whispered.

"Why your father is in trouble!!!" A voice started to scream.

"YOUR FAULT!!!"

"IT WAS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!"

"Wahhhhh!!!" Mira cried even louder. "N-no, I... it's not my f-fault... "

"It is, child." A warm but cold voice whispered to Mira. A voice that made Mira's hair go up. Mira turned around to where that voice was and saw no one. Mira's heart started to race as she heard the voice said once more. "It is, child..."

"B-but, I j-just w-wanted t-to-"

"You will walk down a bloody path..." The voice said once again as strong wind blew.

Mira tried to find where the voice was again but no luck. She saw the same cold view, and all she saw was blood of the people she knew even it was for a while.

Then she saw a bright shimmering and beautiful light, shining at the other side of the forest.

'𝘎𝘰...' The voices whispered. Suddenly Mira's feet started walking on their own.

She walked towards that light, she didn't know what was happening but something told her she needed to get there. She just knew if she reached there something will happen but still something at the back of her mind told her to stop yet she just kept moving forward...

The strong stench of blood reeked all over the forest yet Mira still walked, the moonlight brushing over her beautiful dark colored hair.

When Mira arrived there was nothing nor no one was there but suddenly the wind blew harder and harder and the voices whispered quietly once more.

"𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘺... 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴..."

Mira looked left from left to right but no one was still there. Mira felt confused yet still she listened. Still the back of her brain to run but her curiosity took over her. "𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵..."

"What d you mean by that?!?" Mira screamed. Mira saw the blood all over her body and suddenly flashes of what happened earlier came into her mind.

"𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘨𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥... " The voices whispered again.

Then she felt a hand touch her shoulders. She tried to look at who was touching her shoulders but her body froze when the voice whispered once more "𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵..."

Suddenly Mira heard screams of people and images of strange people dying flooded her mind. Then she saw a guy dying in front of her with a sword pierced in his heart. A single tear fell of Mira's young and beautiful eye when she saw that. Her heart dropped and she cried. "S-stop it already!!!" The young Mira screamed.

"I-i am begging you!!! Stop!!!" Mira screamed again as more strange images flooded her mind. "STOP!!! " Mira screamed even more and then suddenly the images stopped and Mira fell down on the earth, crying. Her whole body trembled more than ever.

"𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘐 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦, 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳... 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴... " Mira shook her head crying while the voices continued "𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘯 ... 𝘋𝘶𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳é... "

With that the voices where gone, leaving Mira all alone again. A wave of emotions went through her and when she looked down towards the grass she saw some of the grass has a few splashes of blood and she cried even more "Are you kidding me?!?"

Mira bowed down to one noble and greeted "Thank you for attending, my humble party."

"Oh, dear... this is humble?!? You have some higher standards Lady Mira..." Countess Lyra from the Vienna family laughing while silently glaring at Mira.

Mira sighed inside her head and put on a fake smile towards Countess Lyra. 'To translate that... what an absurd and ignorant person or tch, is that what all you do? Spend money from left to right? Well it is a good thing she did that...'

Mira's objective today was not only to threaten Rudy but also start people pity her even more. So what Countess Lyra was perfect. Mira was the flower of the society so upon letting people seeing a new side of her would make them respect her and pity her even more because human's see and believe what they see and believe and ignore the facts right in front of them.

"Ah yes, I guess so. Well it is because m-my father... I-i mean the E-ex d-duke Islvatoré spoiled me so much..." Mira said her voice cracking as her eyes immediately started to water right in front of the other nobles. Mira smirked slightly upon seeing Countess Lyra's face turning red. Mira started to hear some people whispering among themselves while Mira cried.

"A-ah..." Countess Lyra said baffled not knowing what to do. Mora people started to look their way and Mira smirked a bit.

"A-ah, I am sorry... I didn't mean to do all that. I didn't mean to put you on a tough spot, Countess. It is just... I-" Mira didn't say anything anymore and then people who were waiting to greet Mira started to whisper even more. Countess Lyra faced turned even more red and started to panic.

"Poor girl... how ins.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e!" People whispered.

'My mission is complete...' Mira thought as she wiped a tear from her eye and smiled sadly towards Countess Lyra "I am truly sorry for the sudden outburst, Countess... it's just I thought what would my father, I mean Duke Islvatoré would do if he was still here and heard about I will be getting married soon to Rudy here..." Mira said as she looked at Rudy who was beside her with one of his hands trembling slightly holding his hands and looking at him sweetly.

"W-what-" Mira pinched Rudy from behind. Reminding him what they talked about just earlier. Rudy gulped and held Mira's hand tighter. "I wonder sometimes too, Mira but you should not cry because I can finally tell the world how much I love you from the moment I saw you..." Rudy said holding a piece of her hair and kissing it lovingly. 'This prick...' Mira said trying to mask her disgust. Rudy, who cringe when he said that but still looked at Mira lovingly.

They looked at each others eyes for a while then the Countess coughed and said "Oh My... it seems I have held the party but I hope you two will stay happy and I am terribly sorry for my insensitivity, Lady Mira."

Mira laughed "It's alright, Countess Lyra. It seems I might have overreacted so I am sorry as well but again thank you... for coming to our humble party..." Mira said again bowing slightly her eyes glaring at her but still was masked under her dazzling smile.

"No, the p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e's all mine Lady Mira..." The Countess bowed and left. Then after the Countess, Mira greeted a lot of other people and kept smiling and laughing along side Rudy as Rudy held her waist the whole time while Mira could feel his trembling hands.

"I shall go to the facility for a while, Mira. " Rudy said looking at Mira lovingly while Mira acted along and said "Okay, Rudy. I will just wait around here. " Rudy nodded towards Mira and left the scene while Mira chuckled. 'What a coward, indeed. '

Mira waited for a full five minutes and Rudy wasn't there yet and she sighed. 'That ugly no good-'

Mira walked towards the facility as she greeted a few more people along the way.

"Ahhhh....." Mira said as she bumped into someone. "Go to the abandoned west garden in five minutes, Miss Assassin or else..." A man's voice whispered. Mira's eyes widen when he said that. She was about to grab the dagger that was under her dress but the man held her hand away from the dress and said "Easy, Miss Assassin. Easy... we will talk more later. So we could all talk about our little incident, okay? "

Mira tried to get release from his strong hold but it was no use. His hold was so strong but Mira knew it wasn't his full strength. She could see from his grip that he wasn't really gripping her hard.

The man just chuckled and then Mira pinched him and he just smirked. "Is that what you could do-" Mira kicked him in the chess and his hold loosen.

"Woah... a fiesty one. Haven't seen one in ag- WOAH!!!" The man screamed as Mira tried to remove his hood.

The man laughed and looked at Mira with fascination and is clearly impressed on what he was seeing "Nice one!" The man said as Mira tried to kick him again. Then Mira grabbed her dagger and tried to stab him but he caight it and Mira's eyes widen.

"Woah there...You could kill someone! " The man said as he held Mira's dagger. " Remember, Miss Assassin your fast but... I'm faster..." As he said that he grabbed Mira's dagger out of her hands in a flash and went to Mira's back even before Mira could react and put the dagger behind her back.

"What do you want?" Mira said in a low and dangerous voice.

The man chuckled and whispered seductively "Well, go to the abandoned west garden to find out, Miss Assassin. " Then he dropped the dagger and left leaving Mira frozen and baffled.
