Duke, Can I Bite You?

Mio barely knew the contents of the original story since she only skimmed through it. She had only read the parts when the fox beast* appeared.

*TL/N: I originally write is a fox werebeast, thinking that animal shapeshifters are werebeast but please cmiiw.

I only remembered swearing at Geoffrey.

‘The fox had to suffer all sorts of hardship because of him.’

She fell in love with him, but Geoffrey didn’t even know she was a fox at first.

From that experience, she learned a few things.

―She will become human if she kisses Geoffrey.

(It takes about a month for the effects to wear off.)

―If she can’t find a partner within a year, she may have to live as a fox forever.

(Of course, I didn’t get to such an ending. Because I always died at the hands of someone before that…)

―The partner will turn her into a human.

(I haven’t found any other candidates besides Geoffrey yet.)

‘That was all I remembered.’

Mio was annoyed. She put her front paws together, which looked like cotton balls, and lowered her head. 

Even though Mio is an atheist, she wanted to pray to God at this time.

‘I will no longer wonder why I am in this damn book. So please grant me my wish.’

I didn’t have any regrets about my life before possessing the body, so it might be better to start anew here.

‘Please find my ideal man and let me fall in love with him!’

Mio clenched her fists with earnest desire.

‘Let’s go!’

After praying, Mio ran across the carpet to the sofa quietly. 

For her, who once ruled the forest, a mission like this was a piece of cake. 

However, she experienced her first setback in front of the huge sofa.

‘Damn, I can’t reach it.’

She scoured the area to find a way. Sweat formed on her head as she took a cushion carefully so as not to make a sound.

‘Okay.’

She was able to climb on the couch as soon as she stood on the cushion and leaped.

Mio leaned towards the target with her fangs slightly exposed. 

Her fierce eyes looked at Geoffrey’s face. Even though he covered his eyes with one hand, his attractiveness isn’t concealed. 

‘Although his personality is trash, he was attractive…’

She carefully stepped on Geoffrey’s stomach. 

The six-pack engraved on his lower abdomen was so hard that her feet kept slipping.

Geoffrey’s naked torso made her distracted and her lips moistened.

‘Mio, you need to concentrate.’

She sprang to her feet and raced towards her aim, which was his lips.

As soon as the snout touched his lips, Mio could turn into a human.

“……!”

A lady in a lavender outfit sat in the spot where the fox had previously been seen.

“Success!”

She rubbed her face, but she felt like she was going to cry at the touch of bare skin that she had not felt in a long time. She wanted to get used to the body of a fox beast, but she was more comfortable when she was a human.

‘Don’t be moved by this! Mio, you’re a human!’

After she took a deep breath, a very low voice could be heard in Mio’s ears.

“……What?”

She was startled when she felt cold metal on the back of her neck.

Geoffrey’s dagger was aimed at her neck.

‘You idiot!’

She should have turned into a human and then quietly escaped…….

After staying in the fox’s body for too long, her brain becomes dumb. She couldn’t even cry in such a pitiful situation.

‘Am I going to die in such a short time?’

The cold voice of the other party was heard again.

“Let me ask, who are you? How did you get here?”

In the original, Geoffrey realizes the fox’s identity only later. 

So Mio knows him, but now Geoffrey doesn’t know her. 

How absurd it would be for him to see a woman for the first time sitting on his stomach.

‘What should I say?’

It was a perfect situation for him to be suspicious, so she couldn’t think up of an excuse.

Looking straight into his black eyes was more terrifying than she thought. 

She was frozen from the tension.

“……I am…!”

The voice she spits out after a long time was shaking, and the tears were still in her eyes.

‘It took a lot of work to get here.’

She always died after struggling. No matter what she did, Mio fell in love with him.

‘I struggled so hard not to meet that guy… … .’

To get away from him, she even got on a boat that was leaving for a foreign country. She even tried to kill Geoffrey first.

But all her efforts were in vain. Because it always ended with her death.

‘There’s only one thing I haven’t tried.’

It was to steal Geoffrey’s heart.

But when she tried to do such a terrible thing, she was a bit reluctant, but…

Mio pulled the muscles of her lips and smiled as seductively as she can. Then, she said to him with a voice as sweet as cotton candy.

“I am a fan of the Duke of Caspian.”

He flinched at Mio’s smile and pulled back his sword. Then he frowned and said,

Shaking her head, she came down from his body, claiming her innocence. 

However, she was not used to the human legs she had in a long time, so she stumbled straight away. She was so nervous that her head felt dizzy for a moment.

Mio struggled with both hands to keep herself from falling to the floor. 

Mio frowned at Geoffrey’s face, which was stained with astonishment.

Mio, who barely turned around, stumbled towards the armrest of the sofa. Soon her head banged and her body shook from the shock. The sound of Geoffrey’s voice echoed in her ears.
