Chapter 9. Testing

Summer began in earnest.

Rubach's summer is repeated with a wet heat like a steamer and a weekly rainy season.

When the heat hits, the students' outfits also turn into cool underpants.

Girls wore blue skirts and wide short-sleeved blouses that rose slightly above their knees, and boys were able to wear them autonomously, choosing between long trousers and shorts.

Both were made of summer material, so I preferred relatively high quality trousers.

Most of the students wearing shorts were obnoxious or of a younger age.

Among the group that gathered around Judas, Baikal, who was far from being of good quality, chose the only shorts.

“Ah, it's already a test. What kind of test is that on a fictitious day.. ”

Baikal looked at the test schedule written on the chalkboard with his hands full.

The onset of summer also meant that the final examination was imminent.

Everyone was desperate, but Baikal went beyond despair and was close to conception.

For him, this semester has not flown normally since the beginning.

The biggest one is the White Crown.

Baikal glanced up at Judas, who was sitting next to me and checking the exam schedule.

The class he usually despised the most was the ruling class, which made the sphere unsuitable for the power he had.

I wanted the nobles to be noble, and the emperors who dominated the nobles to show more noble behavior.

If I had great power, I felt it was right to do what I had to do with it and bend the bottom.

When Baikal, who had that idea in the past, saw it, the White Emperor was literally trash.

Waste that doesn't fit in place that just breathes and lives somewhere that can't be recycled.

However, as he began to realize that his ideas and prejudices were twisted, he became confused.

‘…… Uh, wait. Maybe I was wrong? ’

The moment I thought about it, I was frightened. However, he gradually began to accept what he felt was an error.

Baikal B. Drake was a 14-year-old boy with an open-minded predisposition to arise and had the courage to admit that he was wrong, depending on the circumstances.

Of course, that did not mean that the accident transition was done in a single sigh.

It took a great deal of effort to change the way you look at others, realizing that the thinking was wrong in the values that used to treat someone as garbage.

Confusion and skepticism have complicated my mind to the point where I can't concentrate on academia.

Moreover, that was not the end.

I went to meet the chief to find the class that I liked, and he was a magician who handled forbidden commandments. Thanks to this, I was caught by the Pope's office and thoroughly investigated, so I took the number of days to attend and the duration of the exam per hola.

Although he was originally interested in magic and history, he was not very intelligent among his students.

After all, Baikal's midterm scores were splendidly crushed.

‘After that. ’

One sensational student who tried to put the prince in danger got caught up in the incident, and in that way Baikal gradually stopped the incident.

Meanwhile, the twisted values that Baikal had certainly changed, and he even decided to follow the White Crown Prince.

He followed the way to the Imperial Palace. The class fell to class, and the head was complicated to the head, so he studied, and there was nothing left in his head.

“Shit, that doesn't make any sense. As long as you are human, how can you test this situation so well..... ”

Muffled, Baikal silently stares at the side.

There are studying monsters with dazzling grades even in such situations.

“Let's go to lunch. ”

“What are you staring at? I don't have time to take care of it, so stay here if you want to keep it. ”

After alternately looking up at the warm gold lining and the sea blue eyes standing beside him, Baikal immediately raised up the body that was leaning on the chair.

“…… haha. ”

A simple Lubach student's mouth, not a monster, sighs.

Baikal thought, "This is never going to be me.

‘They're too tall! ’

With a soundless audacity around his shoulder, Baikal mutters as he steals the sweat from his forearm in his throat.

“You know, it's hot for the weather. ”

The final examination season began at the same time as the summer.

And immediately after all the trials were over, there was a royal imperial ceremony announced by the Emperor.

The air that had flowed peacefully under the fierce sun began to burn.

Some for the power to keep the empire under their feet, others for the life they want to keep.

Two horses with different purposes prepare for a collision.

Even though one side was not a horse, but a foma () carrying tons of bombs behind it, the collision between the two horses is inevitable.

“You know what? ”

Marzen hastens out with a single smile.

“In fact, there are sad legends in our Lubach. That's what it is!”

“I don't care. ”

“…… Wohoo, I'm going to bay in on Cal. ”

After Cristina's cheap refusal, Marzen choked her throat with a hand.

However, the return reaction was merely ignored.

In her attitude of genuine indifference, Marzen clears the side of her head that pops out with a fabulous face.

They were currently gathered at the cafeteria's room table.

Because I told them to review the exam period early, they all came together to find Judas without having to go first. They sat down in the room to study together.

“What legend? ”

It was Judas who rescued Marzen from the depths.

Faced with a golden eye waiting for an answer, Margen opens her mouth, raising her tail.

“It's rainy season soon, isn't it? When it's just a rainy night that it's hard to keep up..... ”

Marzen, who gradually kills the sound of words, winks playfully.

“It's coming out.”

“What, what? ”

Baikal, who was holding his eyes to the book, groaned and asked me.

Edan, who was looking into the books of the other classes beside him, lifted his head.

As everyone's attention gathered, Marcen twisted his finger in the air.

“Ghost.”

At the end of the speech, Cristina did not blush her eyebrows, Edan turned his gaze back to the book, and only Baikal and Abel reacted suddenly to the poison.

“Ghosts coming out?! ”

“Really...? ”

Whatever happened, the only thing Baikal was afraid of was a ghost.

He hated unexplained mysteries or horrors from human knowledge, regardless of subject matter.

Cristina snorts as she stares at a bicycle that is as frightened as a poisonous child, though she is 14 years old.

“I believe that. ”

“Uh, no, I didn't say I believed it..... ”

“This is a famous legend. Haven't you all heard of it? ”

Marzen asks seriously with his palms open on his desk.

Judas looks at him with an interesting chin.

“I don't know. I've never heard of it. ”

“ ……. ”

In fact, Judas, who had no relatives to do this, would not have heard of it.

At the same time, I felt a feeling of loss in the eyes of the children who came to mind that point late.

I felt very guilty because of the weakness of the main army.

Cristina, who covered her annoying book and put it on her knees, ended up getting caught up in the story.

“…… I saw what I heard. I didn't care much about it because it was urgent. ”

Marzen whistles in her sympathy as if she saw him whistling.

“There really is!" ”

“I told you I heard it. I didn't say I saw it myself. ”

“So what does that mean? ”

It was a vicar who pretended to bite, but the green pupils were shaking anxiously.

Cristina, who in turn gave eyes to the humble face of Marcen and the stiff baikal, turned her head to Judas, who was watching them with interest for the last time.

“On the day of the rainy season, between 2: 00 a.m. and 4: 00 a.m., I was alone by the lake. If this condition is met, you will encounter a ghost without a face. But even if we meet, we don't risk our lives, but... ”

“However...? ”

“It is said to be aiming for the body of the living, the possession. ”

“ ……?! ”

This was an unexpected conclusion for no one.

Especially as Judas, who had previously regarded his condition as close to 'The Ice’, was more flimsy.

It was now that I realized that this was also the life that followed, but somehow it was a ghost story that was quite close to him.

Marzen stares at Cristina with strange eyes while she is locked in her thoughts.

“... this, this. Cristina, you said you weren't interested. You know very well. ”

“I told you not to call me by name. ”

“Yay, yay. ”

On the outside, she growls, but rises up with Cristina's disgrace.

Instead, she pressed shyness to hide and continued to speak towards Judas.

“…… There is nothing I can trust to attract children. Every year at this point in time, it's a one-time joke. ”

“Aren't you curious? If you go out to the lake at dawn on a rainy day, will you be able to see ghosts? ”

“Do you need to get caught up in a joke you can't even confirm? I don't know why you're bringing that up in the first place. ”

“Unity, unity. It makes it easier to get to know each other if they share a common interest. ”

It was a story with a smile, but it also made sense in Marzen's words.

Rather than just studying for the duration of the exam, it was necessary to listen to this unfamiliar subject once.

Even if they were talented, they were teenage boys.

They began to sneak their feet into the story of the horror rather than study it boring.

“…… Spirits and spirits are all similar concepts to ghosts. ”

Edan told me what I thought. When the other students heard it, it made sense.

No one asked for it, but naturally everyone's gaze went to Judas.

Judas smiles and receives words.

“Yeah, maybe the rumors are spirits or commandments. It only depends on whether it's the ones who do the harm or not. ”

“Can you see them without a contract? ”

Only a skilled magician can summon and contract spirits or spirits. This is the common sense. But there were exceptions among them.

Judas materialized with the uni on his palm for explanation. A green breeze wraps around her and reveals a girl with only one finger.

“As you know, I can't see any unclaimed spirits. It was only when the sorcerer wanted them to appear. ”

“Then...? ”

“It's very rare, but if you're in a contracted state, you can materialize on your own free will. ”

“Do you speak like the Mirror Spirit of Abel? ”

Baikal pointed to the Mirror Spirit Turkey next to Abel.

Abel stares at Turkey for no reason, but he doesn't really respond to Turkey.

“No, it was a kind of spiritual runaway then. A contract is like this, for example. ”

Judas, who slightly shook his head, slowly folded his fingers and gave an example.

“A spirit of a thousand years old tree, a guardian spirit attached to an old town. A spirit held by a doll that has been well maintained and loved for a long time with a human hand. ”

“Well, that's..... ”

It was a story I once heard in a previous fairy tale or folklore. Elasticity flowed from the children's mouths, saying that fairy tales were real.

“What do you think they have in common? ”

“…… I think I've been stuck in one place for a long time. ”

Edan said one answer first. Cristina replied with a simple difference.

“I see the objective is to protect a specific target. ”

“I told them both well. If you stay for a long time because you feel affinity for a target that is not alive or unable to show willingness, you can switch to 'contractual’ status and express your power to protect it. ”

“Interesting story. I can't believe there were so many legends. ”

Marzen, who was amazed, clenches his hands and looks to understand.

It's December! It's finally the last month of the year.

I don't have a schedule, but I like winter, so I don't feel bad.

I wish you all a happy December readership.

The reason Cole didn't recognize Judas' spirits before he entered the box as a private person is simply because he wasn't materializing (...) I literally didn't recognize him because he didn't show up... haha.

So I'll see you tomorrow at this time.
