Electrify

I stepped though the portal and saw Peter waving me good bye. I flipped him off and yelled.

"I want that report by tomorrow."

I then traced down the portals that were aligning and had TACT triangulate me the exact coordinated. Then I picked up the phone and called Fiore.

"I am doing this right?"

"Yes, ma'am now you need to place it on your ear and speak normally."

"Hello, Fiore I am about to…."

"But I can't hear him, are you sure this is the correct way?"

"No, you are holding it upside down." TACT said.

"Can you hear me?" I spoke slowly.

"Ahh, yes. Maxwell, how are you?" She said and waited for me to reply.

"TACT, were you teaching her opening line for a phone conversation?" I asked him and he sent a yes in my hud. "Fiore, I am at a location where Malekeith is likely to show up."

"Where?" She yelled out.

I opened a portal to her and she stepped though.

"Now, tell me where is that vile creature." Fiore said while still holding the phone to her ear.

"Yes, but keep your phone first." She hurried kept in in her t.h.i.g.h pouch and looked at me. "This is the place where the convergence will be at its highest. And if he wants to do something big, he will be here." I said and she looked around.

"We are supposed to wait and slay him when he gets here right?" She asked me.

"No, we will set up and ambush and blow him sky high." I said with a grin and she smirked at that.

I called Fury and asked him for a few explosives and automatic turrets. Unsurprisingly, they were at my location in less than half an hour. I had the soldier and the field agents clear the area of any civilians and other valuables. When the set up was done I asked everyone besides Fiore to vacate as well. I handed Fiore some Implosion Grenades and we hid ourselves.

Nearly, 3 hours later a spaceship appeared and about 50 elves exited it. Thor flew in from somewhere and landed near Malekeith. I stopped Fiore from acting and wait for a moment to attack. Thor kept tanking the black smoke like blasts Malekeith was sending his way but before we could move Thor and Malekeith disappeared through a portal. I nodded at Fiore and we both jumped out and began to kill the rest of the elves. I flew up and engaged the 4 smaller sh.i.p.s but before I could clear them all out, I saw a column of dark red smoke rising from the center. Thor landed and charged into the smoke while Fiore was trying to clear out the final few of the ground units. I cleared out the sky and was about to reach the column when Mjolnir flew past me and the smoke cleared instantly. Malekeith was sent flying to the main ship and Thor yelled and threw a cylinder at him. Malekeith sent out a huge surge of energy towards Thor and I pulled him out of the way before it hit him.

"Maxwell, what are you doing here?" Thor asked in surprise and looked back at Malekeith as he disappeared into nothing.

"Damn, did we destroy the Aether as well." I asked him and he shook his head.

"Where did that insect go?" Fiore said as she looked around.

"Fiore, you are here as well." Thor looked at her in surprise. "He went to Anaheim but he will not be staying there for long." He said and looked at the ship that was now collapsing on top of us. "Death by his own ship, how appropriate." He said.

I Threw a whole bunch of grenades at the ship before it disappeared.

"Nicely done." Fiore said.

"Hoh, sister do I hear appreciation for a mortal." Thor said and laughed while Fiore looked away.

"Now, about the Aether." I said and Thor looked at me and pulled out a cuboidal device.

"This should hold the Aether, while it was not designed for this, it should do." Thor said.

"How?" I asked and Thor looked at me with a smirk.

"I has an isolated dimensional space inside it." He said and I raised an eye brow.

"Just wait here." I said and portal led back to the secret cave.

I spent a few minutes enchanting a vial of glass for the exact same purpose. Now, it had about 15cubic meters of space with a centripetal force attracting anything inserted to the center. Even though, it was not my type of art, I had gotten good at enchanting because all it need was knowledge on how to do it and the language required. I hurried back to the spot and found that the sibling were standing together playing with their weapons.

"Ah, Maxwell you are back." Thor said and looked at the vial in my hand. "Did you go fetch this tiny vial."

"Yes, it has the same properties of that box. I have a plan." I said and looked at Thor.

He raised his hammer to the sky and yelled out Heimdall. A beam fell from the sky and took us to the spot where Malekeith hand died.

"What is the plan?" Thor asked while he pushed away some debris to reveal a mangled corpse of Malekeith and the Aether the float above him.

"What were you going to do with the Aether?" I asked back.

"I was going to give it to a collector of sort for safe keeping." He said and looked at me.

"And this collector, is he trust worthy?" I asked again.

"No, not in the slightest but he is known to keep his item from reaching anyone."

"But he will display or use such a power, yes?" I asked and he nodded. "I suggest that we place a huge bomb in your box and give it to this collector with a warning that should he open it for any reason, it will be transported to an inaccessible dimension in a huge explosion, while I take the real thing and keep it where no one can find it."

"And am I supposed to believe that you will not use it for your on purpose." Thor retorted.

"wasn't Jane going to die by simply housing it, imagine what would have happened if she had used it." I said and his face paled a bit before understanding my point that humans can't use it.

"Fine, but under no circ.u.mstances should you expose its energy as it can be traced." He said and nodded at me.

I pointed the vial at the Aether and it was s.u.c.k.e.d into the transparent vial. The vial didn't gain any color and the runes sealed it shut. Now, it looked like there was some mercury inside the vial.

"I hear that you are quiet and adept and portals." Thor said with a smile and looked at me.

I sighed and opened a portal back to Greenwich, all of us step through and Thor raised his hammer again.

"Wait where are you going?" I asked him.

"Back to Asgard." He said.

"Give me the case, I will get you the explosion." I said and Thor looked at me in horror.

"My friend, what if the he open it?" Thor asked.

"Then he will see exactly what we had warned him about." Fiore replied in my place.

I went to the Shield HQ and checked out a few payloads for ten intercontinental missiles. It cost only a few millions and I hooked it up to a fuse that reacted to changed in barometric pressure or light. I set it to activate after a few minutes and the batteries I used to power it should last about half a century. The bomb was equivalent to a 50kilo ton yield. I set it up and placed it inside the case and sealed it. The case glowed red as it registered that I was sealed and the glowed receded to a the joints where it stayed permanently.

I opened a portal back to Greenwich and handed Thor the case. The nodded at me and left.

"How big will the explosion be?" Fiore asked and I smirked.

"Enough to level the entire base we used." I said and she nodded. "Jane, would you like to go to New York or Asgard." I asked and she just looked at me.

"I will find my own way back to New York." She said and walked away.

I sighed and sent out a few order to make her journey easy and opened a portal to Queens base. Since, it was just evening, I decided to go out to the city and check to see if any weird stuff was going down.

"Sir, there was been a breach near Harlem, a creature from another world has crossed over." TACT said as alert and images poped into my hud display.

It looked like a huge wild wolf with a thick tail and bone spurs down it spine, it also had a mane like a lion. Though, it did have a sort of weird pudgy form, it was to fat to even chase down a few bird and was still try to take a bite out of some birds. I sighed and went to a butcher shop and bought a huge chunk of meat. I flew over to the creature and it growled at me. I tore of a fist size chunk and threw it at the thing, it was confused at first but it still smelled the meat and ate it. I like it a lot but I could be wrong about that be cause the bone spurs were now standing up and were shaking while made a rumbling sound. It then looked at the piece of meat in my hand and narrowed its eyes at me. I took of another peace of meat and threw it at the creature. This time it caught the meat like a dog would and made the same sound. This went on for a while till it had finished the entire slab of meat and was now looking at me with wide eyes. I pointed at the ground and it immediately followed my finger. It was wagging from side to side like a dog and it was looking at the spot where I pointed. I approached it and gently touched its head but it jumped back and glared at me. I walked towards it slowly and reached over to touch it s head again but I looked at my helmet and growled. I took off my helmet and tried again, this time it didn't jump away and let me pat its head.

I don't know where this creature was from but it's fur was cold like ice. When I rubbed it head, the thin film of ice that covered its fur was rubbed off and the fur which I had thought to be superbly white turned out to be black. Its eyes were a shade of bluish silver and so were its teeth. I opened a portal in front of us to the detainment facility in the base and coaxed it to follow me. I nudged it inside the cell and went to the cafeteria to get more food for it.

"Fiore, come to this room." I said over the intercom and waited for her to arrive.

"Yes, Maxwell, I get I was sent here to assist you but you can't just call me as you please." She complained as she entered the door.

She looked at the beast and yelped. She immediately summoned her bow and shot and arrow at the creature. I simply caught the arrow and looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Why did you do that?" I asked and she looked at me.

"Don't you understand what this beast is? It is a frost wraith a baby to sure but it is one. Uncontrollable beasts of terror and destruction." She said and looked at it.

I was looking at the creature in wonder, the hell? Beast of terror? It was laying on it back as it belly was swollen for over eating, it looked over at me and got up and ran at me and nuzzled my leg like a dog. I looked at Fiore with a raised eye brow again.

"Are you sure?" I asked and patted the beasts fore head.

"Yes, it will grow to be a size of an a.d.u.l.t Chitauri Leviathan and it will be far harder to kill." She said and looked at the things.

I lead it back into the cell and locked it. It went to a corner and went to sleep. I went straight to Kamartaj and headed to the library. A few minutes later, I had found the description of the beast. They are really called Frost Wraiths and the reason is that because it has the ability to manipulate it's size to look smaller and less intimidating. When fully grown, they have a height of 30 meters and about 70 meters in length. However, once reaching s.e.x.u.a.l maturity at about 12 years, they would stop going out to hunt as their bodies no longer need to grow any further. The height at s.e.x.u.a.l maturity if usually about 7 meter and length is nearly 18 meters, usually many stop eating at this point and go into a deep hibernation while using gathered energy to lay an egg. The egg hatches when it reaches a certain temperature and this may take decades to millions of years to gather required energy in cold weather's of Jotunhiem.

While these beasts have the potential to grow further beyond these numbers but they lack the resources and more likely the incentive do so. When facing one in combat, always have heat spells and binding spells mastered. Heat spell is for you to neutralize its frost attacks while the binding spell is for you to run away. They don't like to eat humans as they have far less meat to match the effort. Lastly, Feeding a newborn Frost Wraith will earn you its undying trust, if you are lucky to find one. Beware, if it has its first kill before being tamed then it will sever no master and will attack all living in sight relentlessly.

F.u.c.k, I didn't want another pet. I sighed and looked at the ways to store it on your body like Amatsu. Turns out, if it has enough energy to manifest a rune it can potentially do it on its own. It took me a week to feed that puppy till it had enough energy. I showed him the rune that housed Amatsu and it got the idea and bit me on my right hand and dissolved into my body. This rune has a blue glow to and the benefit it offered was resistance to cold and minor boost in strength. It was a sort of blessing because as they grew stronger they will bring more and more benefits.

On other fronts, things were brewing up like usual. Drugs were making through the city, crime was happening but in quieter places and there was a significant rise of mutant sightings. Though, only two of those thing posed a problem, mutant sightings had gone up by the factor of 20 but that still meant only about 10 new mutant throughout the world on a monthly basis. Fiore, had been shadowing me as I take on petty criminals and stop a few drug pushers. Once, she insisted on handing a crime and accident tore of a poor shits hand. Though, I didn't feel too bad as he had a few r.a.p.es and murder charges on him with little to no evidence. Since, then Fiore has been careful of her strength but she didn't really like to stop to gather evidence.

"Fiore, we talked about this. We need to find the man who sold this one first and go up the ladder till we find the source." I said and picked up the unconscious dealer and took him to a roof.

"But he must pay for corrupting children and others. Now, he has no to drugs to sell." She said and folded her arms.

"Yes, but this wound will heal and he will be back to this again." I said

"Which is why we should kill him."

"Then, the man who hired him will find another."

"But at least he won't harm another."

"I get that, but we need to work inside the law as much as possible. He needs to face justice from those he wronged and not by us." I said and she rubbed her forehead.

"At Asgard, if someone tries to corrupt children, he would be slaughtered on the spot." She said.

"Yet, this is not Asgard. If you want to help you need to control your emotions." I said and injected him with a few pain meds.

"I have enough control over my emotions." She said and huffed arrogantly.

"Okay. You have a nice a.s.s." I said and caught another arrow right in front of my face. "See? Angered despite me being blatantly obvious that I was trying to make you angry."

"How dare you? If someone had said that to me they would be dead." She said and glared at me.

"I would be dead too, if not for my speed." I said and sighed. "Look I didn't mean that and I meant no disrespect but you need to really take control of how you express your emotions."

"Fine, but do not say such things." She said and put her bow away.

We waited for half an hour and the dealer woke up. He looked around and froze as he recognized me. He tried to get up but I stopped him and formed tiny sparks of electricity on my helmet. I also did it because the man couldn't not literally stand because of shattered femurs.

"Now, you will tell me everything about your supplier. Miss a detail and I will know." I said and he peed himself.

About half an hour later, we had found out about a huge Mexican drug cartel. We had arrested over 35 men and women and the numbers were only going to get higher as we take down the main dealers. We headed to the base and changed to our civilian clothes and headed out. We reached a chuck cheese and ordered 4 larges meat lover. Apparently Both Asgardian princess and Frost had in one thing in common, their love for pizza. I kept 2 pies for Frost and ate two slices while Fiore finished the rest. By the way, Frost was the name of my new pet and the guy loved it.

"So, What did we learn today?" I asked Fiore as she stuffed her face.

"I suppose, I need to get the information first and then destroy these sc.u.ms." She said with conviction and looked at as if expecting a praise.

"No, we get the information and hand them. Over to police." I said and sighed, while she continued to stuff her face. "You will get fat if you eat so much of this stuff." I said and immediately felt impending feeling of doom.

"Did you just call me fat?" She said as she pointed a fork at me.
