Chapter 37 - Kurapika vs Uvogin!

Uvogin punched the earth and send out a wave of "Rock Storm". His attack also created bunch of smoke. Kurapika dodged "Rock Storm" by jumping backwards. At the same time he send out his "Dowsing Chain" which was shaped like a ball and chain. Seeing it's power Uvogin started to dodge "Dowsing Chain".

Seeing that he can't keep dodging Uvogin went for an offense. He ran up to Kurapika and send a punch to him. Kurapika blocked the punch with his left hand. Kurapika was sent flying but he again shot out his "Dowsing Chain".

Kurapika was uninjured from the Uvogin's punch. Then Kurapika started to make fun of Uvogin. This greatly angered Uvogin and he jumped forwards trying to attack Kurapika. But Kurapika was faster than Uvogin and he dodged Uvogins attack. At the same time he send a punch to Uvogin's back. After that Kurapika send Uvogin flying with a kick. Not letting him to stand up Kurapika again jumped very high and came crashing at Uvogin's back.

Uvogin agrily swung his fists to try and attack Kurapika. But Kurapika easily dinged that attack. Again Kurapika made fun of Uvogin. After hearing Kurapikas words Uvogin released his aura destroying the big boulder that was near him.

Uvogin punched the Earth and created a smoke screen. After that he used In to hide his presence. Uvogin ambushed Kurapika and send a punch towards him. Kurapika blocked the punch but his left hand was completely shattered. Kurapika landed on a rocky hill. Fight was already over. With Gyo I could see Uvogin was covered in chains. It was Kurapikas ability "Chain Jail". A special ability that is created to restrict the Spiders.

Kurapika revealed his chains. After that he also revealed that he has scarlet eyes. After looking at his eyes Uvogin remembered about that clan which they annihilated. After that Uvogin tried to free himself from the chains but to no avail. Kurapika revealed his Hatsu Ability "Emperor Time". Normally Kurapika is a conjurer but when his eyes turn scarlet he becomes a specialist. "Emperor Time" ability allows him to utilize all the types of Nen to 100% efficiency (for a Conjurer). Kurapika explains this using the terms "Level", "Force", and "Accuracy": his "Levels" in the various Nen categories remain the same during Emperor Time, but his "Force" and "Accuracy" for every category are raised to 100%. Thus, if Kurapika's "Level" in Conjuration was 10, his "Level" in Emission (the polar opposite aura type) would remain 4 at the most, but his "Force" and "Accuracy" in any Emission ability would increase from 40% to 100%, making him evenly matched against a Level 4 Emitter. However, the price to pay is considerable, as every second spent in this mode shortens Kurapika's lifespan by one hour.

After that Kurapika used ability "Holy Chain". Shaped like a cross, it cures wounds by drawing from Enhancement abilities. When Kurapika is in his Specialist state, it can heal serious injuries, such as a fractured arm, within seconds. Kurapika easily healed his broken left arm.

After that Kurapika revealed why he has chosen to fight Uvogin before other Spiders. As Uvogin is an enhancer that is confident in both his defense and offense. Also Uvogin was a lone fighter. And finally as Uvogin is the strongest Spider physically, if "Chain Jail" worked on him the it would work on everyone else.

Kurapika enhances his hand and send a punch right to Uvogin's stomach. This made Uvogin spit blood. As "Chain Jail" forces the prisoners into the state of Zetsu, Uvogin was just little bit stronger than a normal person and punch that was powered with Nen was too much for him. Kurapika send out another punch and asked him info about other members. Uvogin only told Kurapika to kill him and nothing else. Kurapika again send out a punch and broke Uvogin's arm. Kurapika again asked Uvogin to reveal other Phantom Troupe member abilities. Uvogin stayed loyal and asked Kurapika to kill him. Even thought Uvogin is a trash who enjoys killing, he is loyal. He would never backstab his friends.

Kurapika kept punching Uvogin. Knowing that he couldn't progress Kurapika used "Judgement Chain" Ability. The Stake of Retribution, a blade on the end of this chain, enters the victim's body and wraps around their heart. Kurapika gives the victim an order, which, if violated, results in the Stake of Retribution piercing the victim's heart, killing them. Kurapika himself has a blade wrapped around his heart, which he used to set the Limitations for the use of Chain Jail ability. He is capable of issuing a minimum of two commands per Stake of Retribution.

The rule that Kurapika set for Uvogin was to answer all of his questions truthfully. At for the last time Kurapika asked, "Tell me where I could find others!"

Uvogin smiling answered him by saying, "Go to Hell, You son of a bitch!" After he said those words Stake of Retribution crushed his heart killing him.

Young man buried a dead body in a Gordeau Desert. And left it there.

But unbeknownst to him after he left. Another young man came before the grave. He stretched out his hand. After that, hand rose from the grave and dead body escaped his grave.

...............

I waited till Kurapika buried a dead body. After he left I went towards the grave and stretched out my hand. I conjured "Peeping Ghost" and made it posses a dead body. I could posses only small living animals and train myself from absorbing their life energy. As the dead person has no life energy I would not get anything from him, but it's a total opposite I have to waste my aura to control a dead body. That's why I could control the dead body of even humans.

I controlled Uvogins dead body and made it come out of its grave. When I did that I felt like some mad scientist that created zombies. I wanted to yell out, "It's alive, It's alive!" After Uvogin escaped his grave. But I had more important matters to take care of.

I controlled a dead body and made it follow me.
