Second thing that guaranteed Void Kingdoms rule was.... even more strength. The reason why all the strong people listened to the Void King was because he was the strongest. His mastery over Haki was the strongest and his body was the strongest body anyone could have.

He was the first Devil Fruit user and was the person who invented Devil Fruits. Three hundred years ago the First Void King was just a traveling mercenary. Quite a strong mercenary but still only just a lowly mercenary. He travelled the whole world and was deemed as the strongest human in his era. But still he wanted more power because even thought he was the strongest human he was still human.

That time the peak predators were not humans but dragons. Yes dragons! The first Void King killed one using his full effort and somehow he made a Devil Fruit. I don't know particulars but he was the first Devil Fruit user. His Devil Fruit was a Zoan type dragon fruit. I don't think it was the fruit that Kaido ate as the dragon depicted in the pictures of the castle was a western dragon. Kaido one of the Four Emperors of the sea had eastern dragon Devil Fruit. But because the dragons existed maybe Kaido is an eastern dragon who ate Oni Fruit. Sorry I got into tangent....Let's continue!

But most important thing about Devil Fruits is that there is only one type available. In the series there were three types of fruits: Zoan, Logia and Paramecia. Zoan turns you into animals. Logia turns you into an element. And all the other Fruits that didn't fit Logia or Zoan types were dumped into Paramecia. Those three types had sub categories such as prehistoric Zoans or special Paramecia's. But now there is only one type available. I asked maids about fruits and all their answers were that they turn you into animals.

I had few theories about it and when doing so I was interrupted by my father entering my room. He was wearing a warrior attire which was not like his usual clothings covered with gold. He also didn't have his golden crown which he always had on his head. He had two swords in his waist and as he entered the room he looked at me. He said, "Kid hurry up and let's go! Today you will see wonderful things!" After he said that he started to pull me by my hands and dragging me to somewhere.

We exited the castle as I started to look around the outside. It was the first time I left the castle and I started to observe my surroundings. When I thought we would be walking down the city I was disappointed as my father started to jump and walk on air. He was using a Geppo technique which allowed people with extraordinary leg strength to jump on air and traverse by flying.

From the sky I saw the city that was full of life and cheerful people. I saw many different races in the city. I saw Minks, Humans, Long Limbs and Fishmen. I just couldn't hold my saliva escaping my mouth.

After thirty minutes of flight he finally landed us on an Island. Something weird I saw was that weather was normal throughout the flight meaning that we are not in Grand Line. I looked at my father and asked, "Dad where are we now?"

He looked at me smiling and said, "We are on an island next to the capital! This is a special breeding place where the special animals live!"

I looked at him and asked, "Special?"

He answered by saying, "Yes! Very special animals live here!" After he said those words I heard a roar and saw a giant flying lizard was flying towards us.

My father looked at it and said, "Meruem! You will be the king after I retire and you will lead our Kingdom. To rule a Kingdom you have to be the strongest and to be the strongest you have to first experience the real strength. When I was your age my father the strongest creature in this world brought me here. He showed me his strength and gave me a task to overcome him. Today I give you the same task to overcome me. But before that you have to see and experience real power. So that you can never get lazy and strive for greatness!"

After he said those words his body started to be covered in scales and his hands turned into a dragon wings. The two swords in his waist he used his legs to wield them and he went to fight the incoming dragon.

The dragon took a deep breath and after few seconds he spewed a fire breath. His breath left nothing alive and the greenery that touched it was vaporized. My father did nothing and flew towards the fire breath. When fire almost touched him. My father used the swords he wielded with his legs which already turned black. He send out a double slashing attack which slashed the fire breath and with it. The slashing attack didn't stop there but continued eventually it slashed the whole dragon. In less than a minute a dragon dropped dead.

After the first dragon died many more dragons started to fly toward my father. There were hundreds of them. They looked all different some were eastern dragons and some western. One man was fighting hundreds of dragons.
