Endless Dungeon

I kept looking for high and top tier herbs on my way but sadly most were mid and low tier. It's to be expected.

I'm sure I can find lots of top and maybe even a legacy tier herb if I went to the top of the mountain but I don't feel like going now.

Maybe I'll let the monsters here grow some more and then kill them I'll get way more levels that way.

After 2 hours of walking I was out of the forest I saw what used to be a city in front of me.

Collapsed buildings are everywhere but the signs of life are still there, behind all the rubble I can see a high wall about 7 or 8 meters tall.

There is nothing useful left in the entire city it seems like every thing here was looted.

Walking towards the wall I hoped that this city was still in the possession of humans and not taken over by monsters.

Closing in my 6th sense told me that there are sill humans living inside those walls. Looking closes, with 6th sense I could vaguely see the level those people are at.

Mostly they're level 5 to 10 not bad but to protect a city so close to what can be considered a dead zone for them they need there guards and soldiers to be level 15 to 20 with some level 30+ people leading them.

Coming closer I looked deeper in to the city and was disappointed and pleasantly surprised at the same time. Disappointed because the highest level person there is only level 25 to 30 I can't see precisely and pleasantly surprised because almost everyone here is level 10+.

Looking at there weapons I quickly figured out why, guns, almost every one here uses a gun to kill monsters. I d.e.s.i.r.e this world to be the came as the real world so when the change hapend guns was there go to weapon but it has one big flaw normal guns can only kill monsters up to level 20, 25 maybe if you have a couple thousand gunman shooting them.

There is obviously a way to strengthen guns, just put a formation on the gun or the bullet.

But this is a world were I didn't go to the endless dungeon, so no one knows anything anything about formations.

The only way to get that knowledge is thru killing a monster that knows about formations and steal it's research. Then there is the problem of translating that monsters language to human language. Only then can they study it.

Translation isn't that difficult, if you find librarians glasses like I did that is.

I tried using my 6th sense to see what level of items they are using now, as expected they are lastly items from before the appearance of magic, but some people have low or mid tier items mostly weapons and armor but I found a lot of potions on the top floor of one of the skyscr.a.p.ers.

It's probably were the leader of this city lives.

By the time I finished nosing around I reached a gate about 3 meters high and 5 across its totally made of metal.

I have to admit they have some good defenses set up even it that gnome village I wiped out came to attack them in full force they would stand no chance.

"Stop right there."

A soldier on the wall pointed his gun at me telling me to stop. It's only natural if I entered the city thru any other gate they won't react like this but behind me is a mountain that is impossible to survive in. The chances of a human coming from there is small.

"I'm a wondering alchemist, I just came to look for a safe place to stay."

I saw him say something to the guy next to him.

A minute later a old man appear on to of the wall.

I am surprised they actually have a pair low tier appraisal glasses. To bad that wont solve our problems here,those can only appraise the name, race and level of anyone under level 15.

With me being level 39 it can't do anything to me.

''Those wont work on me I'm already past level 15.''

He is visibly surprised that I know what that magic item is.

''How do you know about this item?''

''I'm a master alchemist of course I can appraise a simple low tier item like that. Does your city not have any appraisers.''

''No we don't, neither do we have any alchemists here.''

''That quite a surprise this forest here is full of good stuff to make potions and pills, if the other alchemists know of this will all come gather here in no time.''

He gave the guy next to him a glance signaling him to do something I don't know what.

''So you were in that forest to gather herbs to make your potions?''

''Yes, how else em I gonna get the materials I need to make them?''

He is obviously trying to get information out of me but I don't realy care.

''Herbalists and appraisers are rare and don't realy want to go to the dangers wiled just to get some herbs. Can I come in now or do you have more questions?''

''Just one more.''

Another man came up the wall hes younger then the last one but probably already in his 50's.

''Go ahead, ask away.''

''What sort of potions can you make?''

''Tier 1 to 3 healing and magic recovery potions and a simple strengthening pill.''

''Just one more question how are potions and pills rated?''

''Easy both are rated from 1 to 7 but don't expect to ever find anything of tier 6 and above they are possible to make but the herbs are impossible to find.''

In truth they are rated from 1 to 10 but I don't need them to know that.

''Can I come in now?''
