A FEW MINUTES EARLIER

Artemis was calm as she crouched on a hill and observed the pack of Nightmares 800 meters away from her. She licked her in anticipation.

She was different from most members of her family. The Sagittarius family, thanks to the innate ability given by their constellation were all experts in long-range battle.

Most of the missions they choose were single targets elimination and, as long the info given was correct, they rarely failed. In the myths, [SAGITTARIUS] was created after the death of Crotus, the creator of archery itself.

The principal ability of [SAGITTARIUS] that all family members received no matter what their synchronization rate or rank was called [LOCK ON]. This ability was truly terrifying as it defied the law of causality itself. Any target once locked could never avoid the arrow. The only difference between each family member was the effective range of the abilities and the number of times the abilities could be used each day. Her father by example could shoot anyone in a radius of 3000 km, for an unknown number of times.

Even though she was far, extremely far from her father's level, she had something that no one ever managed to have.

Once someone reached 100% in

synchronization, all abilities fused into one and unique abilities. Simply said, she was no different than Crotus himself and possessed all his abilities. She was just weaker than him. She was the perfect huntress and could use all abilities related to it. What more her [LOCK ON] didn't target only one but multiple targets. In a radius of 500 meters, none of the targets she locked on could escape. She could also use this ability ten times.

To complete this already broken ability, her rifle and guns were all forged with a shard of [GAE BOLG] giving her bullet a piercing and bleeding effect. Sadly, those abilities were still far from the effect of absolute death the original [GAE BOLG] had.

The fact that she became stronger at night made her even more deadly. Even though the curse part could really be a bother at time.

Her teammates weren't with her. She made them act by themselves after the first days. Even though they were at the hero rank, the difference in ability was so great that they were only a burden for her. So far she hunted a great numbers of beast and send another large number toward them so they didn't fall behind too much in points.

Right now her target was none other than the large pack of beasts. More precisely the legend rank one. She had never hunted one, and the simple thought of being able to kill it made her wet. She thought of how nothing felt better than a good hunt. The feeling building inside her before the hunt, the release, and ecstasy she feels after a successful hunt. Nothing could beat that.

Calming her rough breath, she summoned her rifle and her guns and couldn't help but trace let a trail of kiss on them. The first night she borrowed a bow from one of her teammates, but nothing felt better than holding her own weapons in her hand.

The rifle was totally black. It took the form of a B.A.R.ETT M82 and was an anti-material rifle. The amount of aether this weapon could hold was extremely large and she used it when snipping large or extremely powerful targets. The drawback of this weapon was the charging time.

The twin guns, on the other hand, were created based on the model of a BERETTA M9A3 black Pistol and were black and Grey in colors. Since they had a fast charging time, but low holding capacity in aether, she mainly used it to deal with weaker or multiple targets.

After summoning them, she put the two guns on the holster under her skirt and put her rifle in a position of snipping. Once again excitement rushed in her. Her temperature raised, her breathing became rough, her heartbeat becomes faster and her p.a.n.t.i.e.s wetter.

The moment she put her finger on the trigger, her eyes become golden, the originally far target seemed right next to her. An aura of pure power became to emit from her as she melded the weak divinity she had with her concept of slaughter.

The beast, sensing the killing intent, turned its head toward the source, but, it was too late.

"May your soul rest in peace"

She pulled the trigger and the very moment she pulled, even before the bullet was fully ejected, the nightmare was already shot.

BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

The world chaos was an understatement. That's what Natalie thought as she eyed the scenes before her. The inferior beasts were fleeing, while the four ferocious one were roaring with anger, seemingly ready to tear them to shred.

After hearing the explosion, they hurried to reach the zone and were truly surprised by what they saw. A headshot. There were no other words that could describe the result of what they were seeing. A mighty Ferocious beast was eliminated like it was nothing. No, more exactly it wasn't dead. But with the state it was in, it might as well be.

"GUY!! ACTIVE YOUR PROTECTION!! NOW"

Sol urgent voice sounded behind her. She didn't need to be told twice. She already felt an incredibly deadly emanation of energy behind her.

This surge of energy went past overhead of them and targeted all the inferior beast. It was a true rain of light that let only devastation in its wake. We watched in stunned silence as the beasts were shredded to nothing in just a few seconds. After the light ceased, everything apart from the four ferocious beasts was gone.

Natalie looked at this with interest (S this is the power of the new princess of the Sagittarius.) She didn't know much about that beast girl. All she knew was that three years ago, just a few months after her awakening, she fought against the heir of the Sagittarius family, her half brother and after beating him, took his place and became the heiress.

A few pieces of information could be found on her abilities. All was know was how dangerous she was. From what she was seeing, it seemed like this times the rumors weren't mistaken.

She exchanged look with Sol and come with a decision. They will go to meet her. She was simply too dangerous to let go. Who knows what she would do once in the dark. Still, all of them going would serve no purpose.

"My friends I have a proposition"

She paused and only continued once she gathered their attention.

"I know who sent the two attack, she is extremely powerful. Most likely a legend rank and should also be close to the myths rank. I propose that the three of use go confront her while our teammates stay and eliminate those four remainings."

Sol looked at Natalie as he listened to her plan. For once, she didn't have her laid back attitude. So he deduced that the situation was worse than he initially thought. Still, he didn't fear. He felt something calling to him since a few minutes ago. So going to face her and get answers would be good. He was about to answer when Emilio said,

"We can all go, but there no need for you two to intervene, I will handle her alone."

Natalie looked at this guy like he was crazy. Still, on second thought he was truly the best bet. The [lock-on] made all evasion attempts meaningless, but defense was still an option. She didn't know how far he was from the level of impenetrable skin, but if he is so confident, it should be enough.

Anyway, if he failed, she still had another way to deal with her. That beast may be strong but she is no slouch either. She was the second strongest Karkinos in her age group. She didn't obtain that title just by being incredibly beautiful.

Sol posed no objection either. His goal was to witness a fight between legend. Be it a legend human or a legend nightmare, it didn't matter.

After making sure that they wouldn't intervene, Emilio began to walk ahead of them with his head high. His plan was simple. He will crush everything and everyone.

After being beaten by the headmistress, she gave him a chance. If he managed to beat at least two out of the three other nobles, she would take him as a disciple. He couldn't miss this chance. If he succeeded, he would be able to learn directly under a usurper. How could he miss this? She also said that in this test, the one with the most chance of becoming her disciple was Sol since they shared the same kind of power. But if he beat him, she would not take Sol as a disciple.

So, either he beat Natalie and Artemis in order to become a disciple alongside Sol, or he beat Sol and Artemis or Natalie and become a disciple while destroying all chances for sol. A grin settled on his face. The choice was clear. The only reason he didn't attack Sol until now was that he was waiting for their fight against the nightmare legend to end.

After a few seconds of running, they reached a small hill where a green-haired girl with a rifle on her back and two guns on her hands was waiting for them.

She was looking at them nonchalantly until her gaze settled on Sol. At that moment, Emilio felt like he wasn't facing a fellow human but a beast that was ready to pounce. Still, this feeling didn't last.

"Sol Heracles... The time has finally come". As she said that she began to put herself in a fighting position with her guns crossed ahead of her.

"Be ready, I'm the one who will fight you"

Emilio put himself in front of Sol and began to release his own spiritual pressure. He didn't know why she targeted that bastard cripple and he didn't care.

Artemis looked at him with a disinterested glance and asked in the most natural way possible,

"Who the hell are you?"

This question created an awkward silence, Natalie and Sol had to hold everything in order to not laugh,

"BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!, [LION ROAR]!! "

Emilio snapped, he was already holding himself back since his humiliation by Sol not long ago. Now he was completely infuriated. The image of a lion roaring toward the sky appeared behind him.

This attack, like [DRAGON ROAR] was the representation of the majesty of a king between beast and had a stun effect.

Capitalizing on this, he began to run toward her while activating [FIRE CLOACK] at the same time. The reason he didn't activate [FLASHSTEP] was that he was already pretty fast and that using two skills of different nature simultaneously was extremely hard.

Just as he was ready to tear her apart, he heard a soft chuckle behind him and a shock went through his body.

Artemis watched as the dumbass who she deemed to be a member of the Regulus pounced toward her. Didn't he know that members of the Sagittarius family were immune to roar type attacks? After all, how could you be a hunter if the prey could scare you with his roar?

Still, no matter how dumb a prey was, a good hunter should never underestimate it. She didn't need to activate any Ars. She learned the three Ars she had in order to make the acquisition of her three concepts far easier.

After all, Ars was nothing more than a dumbed-down version of the use of the concept. Those who learned more than necessary were idiots in her eyes. All the children of the nobles received the same education. One shouldn't need more than one or two skills for each element they had and should add two or three neutral skills.

As she watched the dumbass, the world around her became to slow down, no she was simply so fast that everything else became slow from her perspective. She began to walk while letting a false image of her where she stood previously and placed herself behind him. As she looked at his face, she couldn't help but let a low chuckle and said, "How slow"

The world around her became normal once again as she shot him at point-blank range with her two guns and by doing so, blown him far away.

She let the sweat flow from her face as she waited, she still didn't completely understand how to use those two concepts, each use truly drained her reserves.

She had to end this fight fast and flee. She already used too much aether in order to take down the legend ranked nightmare. A hunter must know when to retreat if the situation wasn't in her favor.

From an outsider perspective, everything happened in the blink of an eye. One moment she was at one point and the next she was behind a beaten down Emilio, her guns still letting some smoke.

She took her distance once again putting Emilio between her and them and took her rifle from her back pointing it toward them.

"I'm sure you understand what I can do with this baby in my hand. Crab girl, don't push me too far"

She then looked at Sol and with an amorous look one who uses when looking at the most delicious food in the world, she said.

"Sol, prepare yourself, the hunt between the two of us will be beautiful."

After that, she turned back and tried to flee. Sadly for her, just as she took a step toward that, she saw a multitude of mirrors encircling her. She heard Natalie laugh

"Fufufu. It seem like you're really low on energy, how could I let such an occasion go?"

Natalie's eyes became to glow radiant pink. She was ready to let put Artemis in the most powerful illusion she ever created, but, just as she was about to use it, a roar of fury disturbed her.

"DON'T F.U.C.K WITH ME!!! SHE IS MINE!!! "

An enraged Emilio came back rushing. His shirt was completely chared, despite the attack of Artemis, there were only some scratches on his back. They weren't known as the family with the strongest defense for nothing.

Sol, on the other hand, was simply watching everything from the back. He had zero intentions to fight. He was learning too much simply by watching them.

(With Emilio back, the situation reached a deadlock. The fight ahead will be really interesting)

(AN: Artemis is pretty strong right? She is also a huge pervert. We have now seen two crazy girls, or perhaps there is a third? Anyway, I decided to stop here because the next chapter will be a huge fight. Emilio will show that he isn't simply an arrogant young master destined to be forgotten. XD.
