"How are you feeling now?"

A groan escaped from Shin Ryujin's mouth as she opened her eyes gradually, and the bright light hit her eyelids, causing creases to appear between both of her eyebrows.

Turning her head, Ryujin noticed that Min Aera was seated beside her with concern in her eyes, and touching the comforter, she realized that she was not in her bed.

"Aera? What happened?" Ryujin vocalised— her voice came out hoarse.

"You fainted yesterday after exiting the police station, and I brought you to here. This is my aunt's place, and until everything is settled, you can stay at here. Currently, she is out of the town. So, it will be alright for you to stay at here," Aera stated.

A sigh escaped from Ryujin's mouth while she spoke out, "It must have been difficult for you to bring me all the way to here. I ended up being a burden on you again. I was really pathetic yesterday, right?"

Nodding her head, Aera said, "You were pathetic indeed, but it's not like you could have helped it in that situation. I seriously feel like as if I am your mother when I am with you."

Extending her hand towards Aera, she wrapped them around her waist and vocalised, "You know that you are everything to me— my father, mother, brother, sister, and friend. There is no one else other than you in my life."

"Is this your way of manipulating me, Shin Ryujin?" Aera asked, staring at her with a bored expression.

Raising her head, Ryujin gave a wide smile at Aera and asked, "Are you manipulated by me? Do you want to stay by my side forever now?"

Shaking her head, Aera said, "No, I can't do that. I still have to get married to a handsome man, but I can only do that after I marry you off. Such a troublesome daughter you are!"

"You still don't want to marry me? It seems that I have to put in more effort into manipulating you," Ryujin stated.

"Cut the nonsensical talks now. You haven't had anything last night, and you must be starving right now. I made breakfast for you, so wash up quickly," Aera spoke out.

"Now, that you are mentioning about it, I am starving, Aera. That jerk, whoever it was, destroyed all the delicious food you made for me yesterday before I could taste," Ryujin verbalised.

"Glad to see that you are at your usual mood now. Don't think too much, and don't let yourself be too much affected by whatever happened yesterday.

I won't let you get hurt, Ryujin; I promise you that. You know that you are horrible when it comes to using your brain, so don't use it," Aera spoke out.

"If you don't want me to get hurt, then marry me, Aera-ah. You are the one who is hurting my feelings the most now," Ryujin said as a pout formed on her face.

Aera extended her hand towards Ryujin and flicked on top of her head before speaking out, "No, I don't want to be a mother for rest of my life."
