Taking the opportunity that the man was startled, Shin Ryujin decided to take this chance to quench her curiosity. Although it might seem foolish and strange, Ryujin did not think that she would be able to be at peace unless she tested this.

Without wasting a second further, Ryujin moved a step forward quickly, and extending her hand, she tried to touch Jaein's shoulder. As if noticing what she was about to do, Jaein took a step back.

Despite that, her hand was able to come in contact with him, and seeing how her hand had passed through his shoulder, a gasp escaped from her mouth.

The situation before her felt quite overwhelming to Ryujin, and she found herself stumbling back. There was no way this was possible, and this was way too real in order for it to be a dream.

"W-What are you?" she stuttered— her face clearly displaying how she was unable to fathom the current situation.

Taking this as an opportunity, Ahn Jaein turned his back on Ryujin and was about to escape. Nonetheless, she reacted fast.

Knowing that she would not be able to get her answers if he managed to get away, Shin Ryujin found the closest thing to her, and as she grabbed on to the handle of the pan, she acted on her reflex.

A loud sound was created when the back of the pan collided with Jaein's head, and it was reflected back. As the pan touched the surface of the ground, Ryujin grew to become further shocked.

Although she was unable to touch him, the same could be said for the pan, and as a pain went through Jaein's back, he turned his head to face her.

"Y-You—"

Before he was able to continue further, his line of sight grew to become blurry, and his body fell downwards. Seeing how his body collapsed against the ground, a gasp escaped from Ryujin's mouth.

Even now the situation felt quite unbelievable to Ryujin, and she was merely doing the first thing that came into her mind. Now that he had lost his consciousness, maybe Ryujin would be able to think more calmly.

Moving over to the sleeping body, Ryujin laid down and observed his face. There was not anything unusual at it, and extending her hand towards him, she tried to poke at his cheeks.

Seeing how it had passed through his skin, as if it was thin air, Ryujin mumbled, "What the hell type of situation is this? Could it be that he is some kind of ghost? No, Ryujin, you learned when you were five year old that ghosts don't exist. There is no way he is a ghost, but nothing else explains the current situation either. He has to be some kind of spirit."

After those words escaped from her mouth, Ryujin started to understand her situation further and stated, "F.u.c.k! This is terrible! He is a ghost? Am I cursed?"

As the realization sunk in within her, fear began to intensify within her, and her heart started to beat rapidly in her c.h.e.s.t with a part of her praying for it to turn out to be a dream.
