Well, shit. Feng Tianyi thought to himself.

How would he explain this to these children? That he didn't mean to spend the night sleeping next to their mother.

By the way the two little buns looked at him, Feng Tianyi realized they didn't know the implications of seeing him on the bed next to their mother. He wondered what the two little buns were thinking right then.

"Morning." He muttered and pinched the bridge of his nose.

This was awkward! He didn't want anyone to think that he was attempting to eat the tofu by having Tang Moyu on his bed!

Why did he keep on shooting his own foot anyway? He should have forced his way out of Tang Moyu's hold last night and escaped from the room. But seeing her cry in her sleep, Feng Tianyi felt uncomfortable leaving her alone.

As if on cue, Tang Moyu stirred from her slumber, rolled on her side, and g.r.o.a.n.e.d. Everything was blurred at first, but she felt her head aching as soon as she woke up.

For a moment, Tang Moyu regretted getting drunk last night. She tried to remember what transpired before she slept, but she could only remember bits of her arguing with Qin Jiran over the bottle of bourbon she was drinking. After that, she had no idea what happened.

As she cracked her eye open, the first thing she saw was her daughter's smiling face, as Little Star climbed up the bed to wake her up.

"Hi, Mommy. Good morning!" Little Star flashed her mother with her cutest smile. However, her high pitch tone made Tang Moyu groan, as her ears hurt from the loudness of it.

"Let Mommy sleep in today, Little Star." Tang Moyu grumbled and pulled the blanket to cover her face. However, she was startled when she noticed that the color of her blanket wasn't the same one she had in her bedroom. Even the color of the walls was different from the one she could remember.

She then jolted up from the bed and sat up, her eyes widening when she finally noticed Qin Jiran sitting next to her on the bed, with an equally shocked expression on his face.

What? How did they end up on the same bed, together? The horror that crossed Tang Moyu's face as she shrieked away from Qin Jiran shocked both the little buns and Feng Tianyi. She then checked if she was n.a.k.e.d beneath the blanket, praying to all deities that she didn't make the same mistake she did five years ago.

'Dear God, please not again!'

Seeing that she was still clothed beneath the sheets, she let out a relieved sigh before putting her head on both her hands. Tang Moyu repeatedly berated herself for being stupid. She should have listened to Qin Jiran when he told her it was a bad idea to drink last night.

But could they really blame her? Seeing Feng Tianhua and Xing Yiyue still left a jab in her heart. She might not be romantically involved with her ex-fiance, but she thought they had mutual respect for each other and were willing to work things out even if there was no love between them.

Her hangover was killing her! This must be heaven's punishment for lowering her guard.

"It seems like Mommy needs to wash up first before we can talk to her." The unusual coldness in Xiao Bao's voice sent shivers down the empress's spine. Tang Moyu immediately realized that she needed to explain this to her little buns and promise not to break the rules again in the future.

Xiao Bao stood on the floor near Tang Moyu, with his arms crossed over his c.h.e.s.t like a little man. As if he was trying to intimidate his own mother with his steely gaze, silently telling her they needed to talk later.

Feng Tianyi gave her a pitiful look before asking for the boy's help to bring his wheelchair closer to the bed so he can also start his day. He then told Tang Moyu to wash up first or take a shower in his bathroom, while he asked Auntie Lu to retrieve some clothes for her to change into afterward.

Tang Moyu had no other choice but to listen to them this time. Although she knew she would hear an earful from Xiao Bao later, she knew she could only blame herself here.

Taking the fluffy towel from her daughter, she excused herself and went to Qin Jiran's bathroom, which was conveniently connected to the master bedroom, while Qin Jiran and the little buns went out and got busy in the kitchen as the man prepared food for Tang Moyu and himself.

She shed the evening dress that was reeking with alcohol, and went under the shower to wash herself clean. With no other choice of products for her to use, Tang Moyu had to use the men's body wash that Qin Jiran had stored in the bathroom, though she was surprised to see that the man was using a gentle shampoo to wash his hair.

A moment later, Auntie Lu knocked on the bathroom door, giving her the set of clothes she needed. After thanking the old woman and dressing up, she stepped out of the master bedroom and sauntered towards the kitchen where her little buns were surely waiting for her.

She took a quick sniff of herself, making sure she didn't reek of alcohol anymore. Surprisingly, Tang Moyu liked the scent of Qin Jiran's body wash. It had a rich modern scent, leaving her clean and fresh at the same time. The mild scent was obviously there, but it wasn't overpowering at all, unlike most of the floral-based body wash women were accustomed to.

When she sat down at the dining table across her son, Feng Tianyi gave her a bottle of electrolyte water to help her stay hydrated and minimize her hangover headaches. Muttering thanks to him, she faced the little man of her house.
