Extraordinary Noble

Chapter 7: Work

"Nine times out of ten, life is unsatisfactory. It's impossible for everything to go smoothly." Colin comforted himself in his heart, forget it. He cheered up and put "Basic Pharmacy" and "Basic Strength Pharmacy" back to their original positions. Although the beautiful lady helped him get the book, he still had to use the power of the ladder when he returned it.

After finishing, Colin hurriedly left the Kent Library and returned to his home on Wright Street.

Linda greeted him at the door as always, and gave him a warm hug and kiss. During dinner, Smith and Linda mostly talked together, a tutor and a young financial officer exchanged their experiences today.

After dinner, Colin went back to his bedroom and lay down, looking forward to the work Bill introduced tomorrow.

After having the basics of pharmacy, he knew some basic information. First, making a potion requires a complete set of glassware, a special magic lamp, and the corresponding potion.

Use a magic lamp to heat the potion, and after mixing in a certain proportion, finally refining the potion that can enhance the properties.

Exactly how much it will cost is unknown.

Colin sighed, reached into the pocket of his straight trousers and took out a dull silver coin and six very old copper coins.

"This amount of money is definitely not enough to buy materials. I hope that the job Bill introduced to me is really easy, comfortable and lucrative."

Saturday.

Although Colin really wanted to sleep in, the sunlight quietly entered his room and woke him up. After washing up, Colin had breakfast with Linda and Smith, lightly burnt fried eggs, fragrant sausages, and a bowl of vegetable bisque.

The Ministry of Finance does not work on weekends, but Smith went out after eating. Linda was a governess and had no specific vacation time, so she went to work.

Colin sat alone in the living room for a while when he heard Bill's footsteps coming from the door.

"Colin," Bill called.

Colin quickly came to the door, bent down and took out the slippers used by the guests from the shoe cabinet and put them down. Bill took off his leather shoes and put on slippers and came in with Colin.

"Colin, put on your most decent clothes and put on some perfume." Bill glanced at the student uniform on Colin's body and frowned.

A job that is easy, comfortable, and well-paid is certainly a decent job. Colin nodded when he heard the words, and immediately took out a set of white coats that Linda bought for him during the New Year, matched with a blue shirt, and a pair of brand-new black leather shoes.

Colin thought about it and sneaked into Smith's room, found a bottle of men's perfume produced by "Lint City" and sprayed it on his body, and then returned to the living room to meet Bill.

"It's about the same." Bill looked at Colin up and down and nodded in satisfaction. Although Colin is not handsome, at least he is tall and straight.

"By the way, the work may continue until tomorrow. You leave a letter at home." Bill remembered another thing and couldn't help saying.

"Okay." Colin quickly took the pen and paper, wrote a letter and left it in the living room, then went out with Bill. In a decent noble family, at least a few servants, a housekeeper, and a carriage must be maintained.

Of course the Russells didn't, but Bill did.

A delicate white carriage was parked at the door, pulled by a sturdy Donggrand horse, and a middle-aged coachman sat in front of the carriage. After seeing the two noble children, the driver respectfully got out of the carriage and opened the glass door with metal frame for them.

After the two enter, close it carefully. Only then did the coachman get back into the carriage and drive the carriage away from the city.

The interior of the carriage is not spacious and consists of two leather sofas in the front and rear. Colin and Bill each took up a sofa and sat opposite each other.

"What exactly is the job?" Colin asked curiously when he saw that he was about to leave the city.

"You'll know when it's there." Bill was still selling himself. Colin was a little upset, but then he thought about it. "Anyway, Bill shouldn't hurt me, I'll know when I get there."

The carriage drove out of Wright Street, turned to Kent Street, and went all the way east out of Will City. After leaving the city, you can feel the agricultural atmosphere.

Except for a wide and straight road, all you can see are wheat fields that are divided into small pieces. The wheat is growing very well, and there are countless farmers working in the wheat fields.

"The price of wheat this year will be higher than last year." Bill said casually, looking up at the wheat field outside the window.

"Why?" Colin asked curiously.

"There is a war in the eastern part of the empire. I don't know how long the war will last." Bill shrugged very femininely.

"Oh." Colin suddenly understood, after a war, what is fought is forage. But Colin's mood soon became heavy again. After they graduated from the knight academy, the nobles also had to serve the marquis while they were awarded lifelong knights. If there is a war, they will also go to the front to fight.

This topic didn't last long, and the war was too far away from these young men. And soon after, the destination arrived.

The carriage stopped in front of the front door of a villa surrounded by a forest, and the door was opened immediately. Colin and Bill got out of the carriage.

Colin looked up at the villa, a little surprised. In front of the gate with iron railings stood two well-dressed guards. Looking in through the gate, it is a very delicately built front garden, and you can vaguely see a male statue full of art.

"The owner of a country villa of this size is probably not a simple person. Why do people like UUkanshu www.uukanshu.com provide me with a job that is easy, comfortable and well-paid? Is it for me to be a mannequin? ?" Colin couldn't help turning his head to ask Bill, and made a little joke.

With a system in hand, gold will always shine. He is not underestimating himself, but uses common sense.

"Come here." Bill hesitated more and more, he looked up at the gate of the villa, and the two guards had already noticed them.

Bill pulled Colin aside, avoided the coachman, and whispered: "The Countess lives here, the blood comes from the family of the Marquis of Kent, and the title comes from her dead husband. The Marquis has great influence. If you fail to take the blood potion, you should consider the future."

Colin, of course, understands that widows in this world can inherit the title of their dead husband.

"Although I failed to take the medicine, I should also consider the future. What does this have to do with my work?" Colin couldn't help asking.

"I'm not introducing you to my job today, but my connections." Seeing that Colin was so "inexperienced", Bill had to explain: "This countess is a famous and romantic person with many lovers. My family is with her. There are some origins. I can introduce you to her. Don't you usually have a lot of interesting topics? For example, Journey to the West or something. As long as you make her happy, you may not be able to stand out. Even if you can't be her husband, you can Relying on her connections, she flourished in the marquis and became a big man in the secular world."

Colin once told Bill about Journey to the West, and Bill was impressed.

After Colin heard this, he was stunned.

"Damn it! What a **** job, it's obviously a pimp. I really didn't expect you to be such a bad friend."
