Extrasensory Perception System

After looking for a while I went to take a nap, I took the juice and candies and put them on a little bag to not leave it behind if I have to move fast. I don't think I can be lucky enough to find more food if I left this here.

I got into bed and tried to make a plan on my head. Just from my memory, I tried to think about this area and I could remember that there was a house that was bigger than the others around not too far away. If I'm not wrong that house should be in the block the patrols are surrounding.

Getting inside by taking advantage of the backyards shouldn't be too difficult. But if outside is so guarded inside should be the same, and I don't have any idea about how many people and beast are under his control.

Tomorrow I will try to go around to see if I can find a suitable place nearer to Jamie's base.

In the meantime, I had another problem on my hands. For the current me there is no problem to kill someone if I feel like he deserves it. I'm not going to feel good about doing it, but thanks to last time I know that I will not feel too bad about it either.

The problem right now is that there are people who are innocent, but under Jamie's orders they are going to strike to kill or try to capture me to get controlled by him too. I will do my best to avoid them but if they come to me I will have to defend myself. This filled me with doubt.

Should I kill everyone who gets between me and my objective? I can kill the guards and that could be easier than going inside without being noticed. But is that correct? If I go down that path I would be no different from Jamie.

Also, even if I manage to kill Jamie, without hurting anyone but him. What will happen to them when I kill him? Are they going to be free after that? Are they going to die with him? Are they going to just stay still until someone else can take control of their souls?

Maybe Rose can free them somehow, but unfortunately, we don't have time to try that. Even catching someone alone it's too difficult for me, and I don't think they even can wander around by themselves.

I have to solve how I'm going to approach this problem. For now, I need more information about the place and the number of people to make a good plan. I had three days to do it, so I want to observe tomorrow and try to fulfill the hunting mission, I need to kill just two F-Rank beasts to receive it.

I kept thinking of a good way to deal with Jamie. The use of a rocket launcher to fire from here would have been easy, but it was too expensive and I don't have enough system points even if I complete the hunting mission.

I sighed and thought about Rose. Yesterday time with her was like a nice dream in the middle of all this nightmare. Subconsciously I put my hand on the place where the hickey is, at least today's morning it was still there. Barely noticeable though. I closed my eyes on the bed, from time to time you can hear beasts faraway.

In the middle of the night, I opened my eyes to a loud sound downstairs.

Crash!!!

The sound of the glass shattering from my improvised alarm worked perfectly.

"Crap!! Who leaves a cup here?!?!". A loud voice broke the silence once again

"Be careful idiot, the dog thinks someone is here" a second voice said in a low voice.

"That dog is an idiot, who would be here? If I could control my body I wouldn't be here, even that guy pyro abandoned his friends and run away when they got in troubles. I hope someone is here, so he can kill all of us and end this shit!!". The first guy sounded desperate I even thought about the possibility of killing him out of pity right now.

I could hear the footsteps coming upstairs, I was prepared for something like this so the moment I woke up I already took my weapons and a little bag. I slept even with shoes so all I had to do was open the window and jump down as silently as I could.

I dry sound came out when my feet touch the floor. I didn't think it was noticeable but…

"Did you hear that?". The second voice sounded above me and I hide on a near bush.

I thought about leveling up stealth right away, but I think that even if is enough to avoid those guys, it's not enough to fool the dog.

I stood still. I could see one of the guys looking out the window. He didn't seem to notice me but I could hear the dog barking loud.

Woof woof!!

"Hey! Where are you going!"

That moment the guy turned around and run to follow the dog. That was my cue to leave that place. Now that no one was looking from the window I moved along the backyard to jump the wall.

A bark came from the house, but dogs can't open doors so by the time the guys arrived to open the door I was already in the next house, and they were unable to catch me.

I moved from one backyard to another for about 5 houses. I recognized the guy that looked through the window as one of the guys that were patrolling when I went to bed. There should be a third guy on his groups so either he didn't talk, or he wasn't with them when they came into the house.

After being sure that the other guys weren't following me through the backyards I went inside a house to take a look at the situation on the street.

It wasn't good, apparently after the dog noticed something weird the third guy went to report the situation to someone.

I don't think they were going to wake up Jamie so it's possible that he has someone to order the others around in these situations. I could see all the previous shift guards and patrols coming out from the houses around.

The guy that was on the window was talking with them. From this distance, I had no idea what they were talking about, but after he finished talking they separated into smaller groups and started to move in different directions. I took a mental note of the groups that had a beast or animal with them.

Luckily most of the groups with animals went in other directions, just and 2 groups came to this side of the street to check the houses. One of the groups was coming to this house. I was able to hide in the upper part of a closet, and they weren't able to notice me at all. After that, they just left and went to the next house.

Even if I say that the main reason I wasn't discovered was the support from stealth, it was mainly because they weren't really into the search. Since they lost the control of their bodies, unless the orders are precise it's probable that most of the people will perform like this.

The Searching parties don't care if they find me or not. If they manage to find me it just complicate things, they would have to fight me, try to capture me, maybe report or take some kind of action in the case they can't do it. On the contrary, if they don't find anything they can just take a night walk in a relaxed manner. They probably already lose a night of sleep so can you blame them for not taking it seriously?

This people weren't loyal and that was one of the main weakness of this place.

Even if it wasn't on purpose a great opportunity presented right now.

Originally, I thought I would have more time to figure out what to do and how to do it but this situation was both good and bad for me, I can get inside that place and try to kill Jamie. The problem is that I lack information to do it safely.
