(Dante's POV)

'I should take another nap~.'

As every morning woke up to move from a bed to a window and cuddle under the sun. As usual, I scanned the minds of everyone in the house.

Hope is sleeping. She is having a nightmare again, I don't get what is so terrifying about giant cows, but it appeared again. I slowly changed her mindset to a more optimistic one, that way the nightmare became a typical dream, we were able to kill the cow and made a nice barbecue~~… a part of the cow when was cut became a giant tuna for the cat… Oh! She noticed it was a weird dream and woke up~, why was the part with the tuna strange and the fact that a cow was trying to eat her wasn't?...

Let's see~

Hayley is training again~. She's feeling sad again, what can I do to help her~?

Instead of going to the window I moved towards Hayley. She didn't notice me at first, so I gave her a light headbutt on the leg seeking some petting, Hayley wasn't expecting it and was taken by surprise but when she saw me giggled, and started petting me~.

Purrrr~.

This is for to make her feel better… not for me~… mmmm~… prrr~.

'Are you ok~.'

She was surprised that I was able to see through her. She sat next to me patting my head. I knew that she felt weird talking about it with a cat~.

Since she wasn't talking, I took the direct approach.

'Don't worry, you are our important friend~… no one will leave you~, you are too good at petting.'

That's right… I could feel the fear in her mind the moment Spencer brought her back that night, after she lost her mother, and was rejected by her father there is a little shadow in her heart.

The fact that she also is not directly related to anyone here doesn't help either, Hope, Rose, Gerhard and Spencer had been together all their lives, so she thinks of herself as an outsider, and fears to be rejected again.

I know all of the saw her as an important friend and would never leave her. Because of her past relationship with Spence, Rose is a little jealous of her sometimes, but she would never do something against her.

Hayley looked at me for a few seconds, smiled trying to look confident, and stroke my fur with more strength.

She didn't recognize her fears, she didn't want to… but it was ok for now because I know that my words gave her peace and some security.

I stayed with her a little and checked the others in the house, Rose woke up Gerhard to train, Hope fell asleep again, no weird dreams this time.

Rose mind as always… was… complex, most people minds are easy to read but Rose's is thinking too many stuff, and I can't understand even half of it. I get glimpses from time to time when she focuses on something. Right now…I think she wants to go back with Spencer.

Gerhard is simple. He is worried about his sister, the situation between her and Spencer took him by surprise, but I just resurfaced memories of how good Spencer is and how much Rose likes him. I also added the promise he made to Rose when Spencer and Hayley broke up, to hold his feeling down…

Ok, ok… I created that memory, that situation actually never happened, Rose thought about doing it but couldn't gather the courage. Rose memories are easier to read than her mind. When I was looking at it, I found the memories of her planning and imagining how she would tell her brother that she liked Spencer and his reaction. It was a really complete plan and there were even multiple endings, so I just made her believe that one of them actually happened, later I just copy-pasted the memory into Gerhard's mind~. It was a little tiring but worth it. Now Rose, Gerhard, and Spencer are happy.

At this moment I could hear a girl voice reaching me.

'Dante! Dante! Let's go to play~.'

I don't know where she got so much energy from.

Hayley's petting was amazing, and I didn't want to leave, but Dana's is going to get mad at me if I don't go~.

'Sorry Hayley, Dana woke up and wants to play~.'

"Sure, don't worry I want to keep training I think I understood something about this power and want to see if I'm right."

'See you later.' I was about to move towards the door to go play with Dana when Hayley took me on her arms and gave me a tight hug.

"Thank you."

I purred while enjoying the hug, it was all I needed to do for her to understand me. After a minute she let me go with a smile and restarted her training. She was more relaxed than before, and this will also help her in practice.

I found Dana eating her breakfast with Isabella. She was going to stand up and come to play right away.

'Eat all your food first.' She stopped her movements, and Isabella laughed. This wasn't the first time it happened.

Although she finds weird that a cat is her daughter's new friend, she is grateful for all we have done, especially me and Spencer, apparently Isabella continuously hears stories of me playing with Dana, and she discovered that I have hidden the school curriculum in the games so I'm actually teaching her.

Everyone else is worried about their own stuff and survival, but I knew that this was one of Isabella's worries before we found them, she tried to teach Dana a couple of times, but it didn't work, so I decided to take Dana's education in my paws.

I use mainly Spencer's memories for it, they are a bit dull, so I added a couple of things here and there, mixed some games on it, to make them more fun. If by the end of the week she has a B+ or higher I will let her touch my paws as a reward. I saw in her mind that she was interested in them, so I make them be the reward. It was a success, and I have been playing and teaching her math in the last few days.

I played with her for a while, Rose is leaving to see Spence right now…

I wonder how he is doing~.

It was farther so reading his mind was more difficult, there was a special connection between Spencer and I, so I was able to do it anyway, but I can't reach other people over there.

This is bad~.

Someone is kicking his a.s.s, and when Rose came things turned worse…

'Dana, I'm sorry, I have to go out~…'

"No! I want to play."

'I have a special secret mission, so I have to.' Her eyes sparkled when she heard that I had a secret mission.

"Can I go?"

'No, you have to be a secret agent for it. If someone asks for me tell them that I went out on a secret mission ok? We can play more when I come back~.' She didn't like the idea but saying that it was a secret mission was the equivalent in Dana's language to say, "It's important."

I left the apartment and went toward where Spencer was fighting. I could see in his mind what was happening. The other guy was pointing at him with the gun.

Dodge~.

He was too slow. After being shot he was worried, he was losing his hope.

Family~… Friends~… Think~… Use the system~…

Influencing someone's mind was as tricky as modifying memories so I couldn't run while doing it. He got an idea and bought something from his system. He should be ok now… Too bad I can't reach the other guy's mind~…

I moved at a constant pace and checked his memories of last night… I'm sure I could have done a better job than him.

I didn't move that fast. Manipulating beast and send them away have become more natural now, but I can't handle big groups too well and it's tiring. It took me a while, but I arrived safely.

'Hey Rose~.'

Rose jumped because of my sudden appearance… it's the second time this happens today.

'Dante? Why are you here?'

'You need help, so I came~.'

I couldn't follow Rose chaotic thoughts, but I think she has some doubts about what I'm capable of. Spencer was sleeping on a couch.

'Just rest, for now, stay next to him, that helps him a lot.'

She followed my instructions and sat again next to Spencer I cuddled on the coach too.

'I will start with Spencer plan~.'

I expanded my mind to the max I could and locked onto Jamie and all his followers. I went into their memories.

'What are you planning?' Rose noticed that I was doing something.

'Meowing.' Rose face changed intrigued.

I was following everyone's movements, at that moment I noticed that Jamie was going back to sleep.

'Meow~.'

'Grrrr~.'

'Prrr~.'

'MEOW!!~.'

'This is more fun than I thought~.'

Rose was looking at filled with curiosity, I think she noticed my mood.

She tried to pet me but couldn't, I got closer to her and purred while checking what was happening. Her warmth was like napping in the sun, so being next to her felt nice.

I kept meowing on everyone's mind and making patrols to avoid this area. I also guided the only remaining dog to a poisoned piece of meat… I hate dogs.
