Fallen Guardian : The Last Shadow

Atsuhiro and Kiyoshi along with Kuro appeared behind Reo's back all of a sudden. "My King..." Atsuhiro slowly said in a serious tone as he knitted his brows together. Six S-Rank Protectors appeared behind them promptly.

"Atsuhiro...Kiyoshi...Crack the Space open, summon all the Guardians. Shadow is already enroute, so start with Evelyn." Evelyn was The Fifth Guardian and the one who guarded the great city in the East, 'Azuma'.

Atsuhiro and Kiyoshi released immense amounts of energy which travelled at the speed of light. All the guardians immediately rose from their seats to look towards Tristina as they sensed the surge of energy through their respective cities. They knew well what it meant. They waited for the guardians in Tristina to bend the space creating a portal. But to create a portal there must be a Guardian on either sides. Shadow sped faster than he could after sensing the energy signal.

Atsuhiro and Kiyoshi worked together to quickly open a portal to Evelyn."That energy...the DKs..." Evelyn said as she entered the city hastily through the portal. Atsuhiro and kiyoshi collapsed the portal to summon the next portal.

"Kuro...!" Reo said as he looked at the space in front of him seriously.

Kuro took a glance at Reo and immediately turned towards Eshima and Takeshi. "You have to leave, now...please follow me." Kuro wasn't a Shadow guardian anymore, but he was still a Z-Rank Protector.

As they turned around to leave after sneaking a peek at Reo, suddenly a dark capsule like barrier engulfed Tristina, leaving all it's citizens trapped inside it. Atsuhiro and Kiyoshi's spell broke due to the sudden appearance of the barrier. They couldn't open a portal anymore, not with the barrier restricting the space around them.

"Kuro, can you break through..." Kiyoshi gazed at Kuro who nodded in disagreement. "Your liege...the odds are against us after 210 years. We are outmatched for the first time after all these years, sir." Shadows were the only one who could sense the dark energy even if they were miles apart or sealed up in hell itself.

"Hmph...Does that mean you sense more than four of them...?" Reo said as he looked at the emerging black clouds.

"Reo..." Kuro rarely called Reo by his name, but whenever he called him by his name it meant that things just took the worst turn. Everyone was aware of what lied ahead of them as they witnessed Kuro's serious tone.

"All of them are here...." Kuro let out a silent breathe as he said those words.

"All of them at once huh..." Reo sighed as he said those words. Kuro looked at Atsuhiro, Evelyn and Kiyoshi and signalled them with a nod.

'CRACKK!!!' The ground cracked as Atsuhiro, Kiyoshi and Evelyn riled up their energy as they stood in front of Reo.

"Awake from your slumber ha...it's been a while DK's."Reo said as he looked towards a small crack in the space a few meters away. The Third, fourth, sixth and seventh demon kings awoke 4 years ago suddenly near the capital forcing Kuro, who was the Shadow Guardian at that time along with Atsuhiro and Reo to go all out while the 2nd guardian protected the capital's citizens.

"That energy signature...haa...The Divine dragon spirit...I never was able to break the seal at least once thanks to your powers. I really want to take you down before anyone else..hehe..." A voice crept from the small crack in space.

"Reo...we will be outdone for sure...we have to let Takeshi escape. You do get what I mean, don't you?" Kuro whispered slowly as he stood before Reo. "With him still alive...we will still have a chance."

"Eshima...order all the citizens to evacuate from the city. Lead them out of the city along with Takeshi while we hold these bastards. He will be here soon...he will surely be able to break the barrier one way or another." Reo ordered as he looked at Eshima from the corner of his eyes.

The crack in front of Reo spread throughout the space in front of him. Reo looked at Kuro and the others who were signalling each other to get ready.

'BAMMM!!!' The space in front of reo shattered into pieces as if a mirror was hit by an energized punch, releasing enormous amounts of dark energy forcing Reo and others to cover themselves and all the citizens with pure energy to avoid getting hit by the dark storm. But what they didn't know was, after all these years being trapped in Hell, the first Demon King absorbed all the dark energy and was as powerful he could be. The 1st Demon King was as intelligent and tactical as Kuro himself at that point.

'SHIIINGGG' The Demon Sword of the 1st Demon King drove through Takeshi's heart as it pierced through Reo's energy surrounding him. Kuro along with Reo and the rest of the guardians looked back slowly as if they didn't want to believe what they thought had just happened.

"Dad...Shadow..." Those were the last words of Takeshi as he fell sideways onto the ground.

"TAKESHI!!!!" Reo and Kuro shouted as they witnessed what happened. Eshima couldn't force herself into believing what just happened.

Reo looked back towards the cracked open space only to witness The Seven Demon Kings standing on a rocky black terrain on the other side of the world with a red sky filled with black clouds. "Surprise! Surprise!...Divine guardian..hehehe!" The 3rd Demon King giggled as he looked at Reo.

Reo and Kuro held back themselves as their eyes turned crimson red with anger and pain. Reo forgot everything for a second as he closed his eyes and contemplated what happened. Reo turned around to see all the frightened people in the city who were supposed to enjoy the festival.

"Ellen...take the S-rankers along with Eshima and lead the citizens out of city." Reo said calmly as he opened his eyes. Ellen was the S-Rank protector who was always by Eshima to assist her in any way possible.

"Evelyn...Atsuhiko...Kiyoshi...SUMMON!!!" Reo yelled as he released immense aura of blood l.u.s.t.

"Yamaarashi..!" Atsuhiko screamed as he stood rigidly. This was the name of the 1st dragon spirit which meant 'Mountain Storm'.

"Kumorigachi..!" Kiyoshi followed Atsuhiko's scream. This was the name of the 6th dragon spirit which meant 'Broken Cloud'.

"Akaiitou...!"Evelyn yelled at the same time as Kiyoshi. This was the name of the 4th dragon spirit which meant 'Red Blade'.

Immense amounts of energy engulfed Atsuhiko, Evelyn and Kiyoshi as they summoned their dragon spirits. The 1st, 5th and 6th dragon spirit came out of their Soul gears as they coiled around the guardians. Kuro summoned a Soul Sword with a Dark Wolf spirit that he bonded with after he retired as the guardian. The spirit was named 'Sanda Oukami' which meant 'Thunder Wolf'.

"Ryujin!!!" Reo shouted as he saw the DK's enter Tristina along with their armies. This was the Divine dragon's name which meant 'The Dragon King'. Immense amounts of divine and pure energy engulfed Reo as the 'Divine sword', his Soul Sword appeared before him all of a sudden.
