Farsian: The King Of Vampires

Chapter 51 - The Delegation of Emissaries (2)

After Erebos and Ron had left Phoebe was rather confused. She knew that the man that just visited them wasn't exactly human but couldn't make out what he was instead. She had never actually met with a vampire and believed them to be myths. However now that she thought about it, it all made sense. Farsian was an acquaintance of this vampire so it only made sense that he was one himself!

"So that is why you didn't die." She whispered to herself. Unknown to her Erebos as one of the elder generation of vampires had a very good hearing. He initially was only interested in the girl based on her looks and her special ability with luck enhancement, now however his interest was of another nature. He wondered who she had tried to kill before, if it was Farsian he still had to teach her some lessons. No mortal was allowed to harm or kill one of his beloved students, even if some of his students died on their missions he made sure to raze every place to the ground that was involved in the incident. Not only was it convenient in a way that it effectively destroyed all information that they might have pried from the vampire before his death but it also served as powerful deterrent to anyone that had the harm of vampires in mind.

"Your student is rather interesting. I believe your student and mine could become friends." Erebos mentioned in passing and chuckled at the end.

His laughter grew in intensity and it send chills down Rons spine.

"You promised not to touch her!" Ron shouted at the powerful vampire.

Erebos stopped and turned around, his powerful physique sending chills down Rons spine. The ambient mana gathering around him in a display of power. The clouds in the sky darkened and a storm was brewing.

"Do you really think that I am so petty as to go back on my own word? Besides, just because I said I wouldn't do anything to her doesn't mean that the same applies to him! Now, if you would excuse me I have other business to attend to." With that the powerful vampire vanished from the spot, leaving Ron there on his own.

At the border of the village a small carriage group was making its way inside the village, in front of it were several riders on horseback. Behind them were 3 carriages that were slowly driving in the village. Above the carriage 2 wyverns were flying in the air, and on each wyvern was a knight with enchanted equipment.

"Your excellency, why must we come to this god forsaken place? Are you sure that we need all those soldiers?" A voice was heard in the middle carriage.

"Yes Barov, I need not explain myself to you. Just know that I have sensed a powerful surge in the mana of this region. Either one of our powerful ancestors has decided to grace us with his presence or something or someone else is intruding in our borders. We can not let them do as they wish!"

"Yes your excellency!" Barov said as he bowed his head to the emissary.

He knew that it wasn't a real human but a powerful construct of mana and magic, but every time he looked at the youthful face of this young boy that looked like a doll he couldn't help but swallow. He knew that they were designed to make it easier to look and talk to, but they were so life like that he couldn't help but fall in love with the boy in front of him. He never told anyone of this however since he feared loosing his position as the aide of the emissary, a position of power and influence that couldn't be disregarded even by the powerful knights in enchanted armor that were flying high above him. They were magic knight, and although they weren't as powerful as the real deal they were definitely the back bone of every powerful army. Barov could give them any command that he wished to, be it to burn down a village or to abduct a young boy, they would do it regardless of the consequences and anyone that disobeyed him would meet their maker a few years earlier. Such was the power of the aid of an emissary. However the true power still ley with the emissary himself, as he was a magic construct probably made from someone in the royal family and as such had power not from this world. Barov didn't even think about abusing his power for a moment with someone so powerful watching over him. However he had to vent his frustrations at not being able to have this young boy every now and then and would often pay a young boy from a random village to accompany him for the night.

The knights knew of this and would often give him disgusted looks when he wasn't looking but for some reason Barov always knew better than to be caught doing anything and as such stayed in this position of power for a few years already.

But today would be his last day as a aid of this young emissary, he just didn't know yet.

"Stop!" A rider in the front shouted and the whole convoy came to a stop.

"Who goes there!" Barov shouted to the front, visibly annoyed at having to stop in the middle of the road.

"We don't know yet. It seems to be an middle aged man from some royal family of the local region." The rider shouted back.

"I can feel it, we have found the reason for my presence here." The young emissary said to Barov who just sat there with his mouth and eyes wide open.

"You mean to say that this person…" Barov stopped mid sentence, if what the emissary said was true and they somehow annoyed this powerful and ill.u.s.trious person then their days on this world would be numbered.

"Yes that would be correct." The emissary said and exited from the carriage.

Erebos was standing there, watching the wyverns fly in the sky and counting the riders that were standing in front of him. They all had their weapons drawn and looked ready for a fight.

"Hmph, only 12 horses and 2 wyverns. Aren't you underestimating me a bit?" Erebos asked the young boy in front of him.

"Hello, I am MXA12D9 attack artillery support system. What would be your estemed name?" The emissary said as his green eyes started to shine in a blue light.

"That would be Erebos, and I plan to stay here for a while and not be bothered by your minature dragons. These petty creatures wouldn't even count as an infant where I came from." Erebos always had an aversion against wyverns. Although he couldn't remember the reason for this anymore as it was something that happened hundreds of years ago. Probably something that happened shortly after his awakening as a vampire.

"Erebos? I can feel that you are of the unholy attribute. Are you a practitioner of the unlife?" The emissary said with a slight frown which did nothing to hide his exceptional beauty.

"I am a vampire if you want more details. Are you happy now?" Erebos said as he crossed his arms over his c.h.e.s.t.

"Forgive me but had I known that you were a vampire, I would have blasted this place from a distance." The emissary said and eyed him more clearly.

"From my previous scans I wasn't able to pick up on any unholy life in the area, but now that I look closer you are undead. How could I have missed that? Do you posses any magic gear that is exceptionally powerful?" The young boy said and looked at Erebos's c.h.e.s.t where the medalion was located.

"Are you talking about me?" Basil Draco the powerful magic equipment glowed as its voice resounded in the boys head.

"A sentient magic equipment? That would explain my inability to notice you. However, with the year 29083 after the first emperor all forms of un life have been banned across the empire. Please accompany me to the next guard post where you will await judgement." The emissary said cold and detached as if there was no threat from the being in front of him whatsoever.

"I don't think so, magic construct." Erebos said with a hint of disgust in his voice.

The air around them began to crack and small sparks of energy flitted across every now and then, the situation was tense. The riders became increasingly uneasy as the conversation developed. When the emissary attacked a target so close to them there was no doubt that they would be caught in the attack. However at this moment Barov came running out of the carriage, shouting.

"Your excellency! Please re consider! If you attack this vile creature now you will most likely vanish alongside it, so wouldn't it be better to wait and perhaps gain some distance? We can still judge it at another day." He was visibly sweating as he sensed that MXA12D9 would fire one of its orbital death rays soon. A attack that would reduce without a doubt the entire village and the surrounding farm land into nothing but charred earth. And that was bad, especially because he was still within this surrounding farmland!

"Barov? Do you mean to disturb this judgement?" MXA12D9 asked Barov who now began to sweat even more.

"I request to make use of my override key in order to stall this execution." Barov said without flinching as he stared MXA12D9 right in the eyes.

"Request denied. The target has been found guilty of violating the law. Appropriate judgement would be extermination." MXA12D9 said to Barov who now collapsed to the ground.

"Please re consider! What if your first strike doesn't kill it? Didn't you say it had powerful magic equipment? Couldn't it be that it shields him from your attack? If you attack now you will endanger our entire group along with the townsfolk!" Barov now tried to reason his way out.

With moderate success as he could feel that MXA12D9 no longer supercharged the death ray.

"Erebos was your name right? Do you have any ability to protect yourself from an orbital death ray that has been supercharged by me?" MXA12D9 asked in a monotonous voice as his blue glowing eyes stared at Erebos.

Erebos could feel that the magic construct in front of him was using some sort of lie detection magic to make sure that he would be finished if he got hit by the beam. However he knew that the magic construct wasn't including Basil Draco into the equation. If Erebos believed in him than that wouldn't count as a lie at all.

"Well do I now? Hahaha! Basil Draco, my most powerful magic equipment of all time! Tell me are we able to withstand such ridiculous magic?!" Erebos asked his head held high.

"Of course we can! I am the mighty undefeated Basil Draco! The strongest of my kind!" Basil Draco the most powerful magic equipment of all time proclaimed as such and Erebos immediately believed him with all he got!

"Did you hear that?!" Barov jumped at the chance and tried his hardest to persuade MXA12D9 not to obliterate them all in a suicide attack.

"It seems like I have no choice in the matter. But I can't leave this place alone, you could try to run away." MXA12D9 said with a frown, unable to make a decision.

"Then what should we do? Maybe I should go and..." Before Barov could finish his sentence he was informed by his magic bracelet that worked as a sort of tracking device and mana detector, that MXA12D9 had already called for an airstrike from the main army that was currently situated at the other side of the empire.

"No, how could you!" Barov exclaimed as he sunk to the ground once more.

"Barov, I command you to stay by my side and wait for the airstrike. I need you to watch over the anomaly." MXA12D9 calmly stated Barovs death sentence.
