Chapter 57 - 53: The Fall and Escape from the… (Part IV)

Yandere.

A Japanese terminology that had recently gained its popularity. The people of the world merely put insanity and obsession in the namesakes to the people who had this trait before this word was even used but this trait had been predominant and existed even in the ancient times. As an avid otaku and lurker of forums back on Earth, I took in knowledge big and small, from sites like reddit, vn-meido, syosetsu ni narou and many more.

The sages and wizards of those realms(lol) imparts important knowledge to fend all types of situation and they spoke a lot of terminologies and sayings that had made me what I am today. One of those sayings that I always put in heart is…

'Don't block a raging Yandere.' This saying may had not been used and implemented ever since I learnt it but I still took it at heart… yet.

'I am already breaking it…' I smiled wryly while blocking the brightly smiling Sia with my spear. After I successfully traced also the metal bat that is called 'Arcadia' (Mine did not became an ego weapon though) the instructor separated from us because he said he is going to get No. 17's family seal while biting back to the organization. Taking the corpse (Sword Star) we followed the escape route the instructor told us and this woman and her entourage was already there waiting for us.

After a bit of conversation about why she is here and learning that everybody is already starting to search the instructor by both sides due to the apparent reason that the Princess of the Karuan Empire, the one who bears the title 'Witch of the Royal Family' want's the instructor. Somehow down the lane the organization thought of the instructor as a spy while all of our 'senpais' (except Rein) either ran away or jumped ship when they learnt of the inevitable demise of the organization due to the Royal Army and the crown prince being here.

I thought it would have had a perfect chance to hand over the instructor to Sia but when she who's eyes was almost closed due to smiling brightly widened for a few seconds when she saw Rein had the bat I saw it. Bottomless and soulless eyes that somehow darkened due to the nearby torch. I felt a huge primal fear at that point and somehow got a weird illusion that the dismembered head of the instructor is being held dearly by this woman while on a yacht going to the sea in a beautiful twilight.

So instinctively I acted and blocked her because the instructor would surely be stabbed by this woman later down the lane! Even if I want that to happen to him out of revenge and resentment I can't due to that Zelretch wants us to let his 'friend' live. So here we are having an eye contact with this crazy woman.

"So my dear junior~ why do you want to block me on meeting Master~" She said while still wearing that smile of hers.

"Sorry senior~ as much as I love to hand the instructor to you all I can see is a huge bad end scenario yet my 'employer' wants the instructor to live you see~…" I said and quickly donned my Mystic Code turning my black clothes into a pure white suit.

"Heee~ is it that wench of a princess? I thought it would be only no. 1 and 17 to be a spy but to think there would be more~." After saying her piece, she snapped her fingers and torches suddenly lit up before us and a hundred black clothed archers are already there aiming at us.

"You see I prepared properly to get Master and go to a lover's escape with him~ I even prepared a house for us to live happily ever after~. I am sure he would reject me thought~, so I brought some compromise~ but to think the first obstacle I would face between my love to Master and our happiness is one of my junior~. But I know as my fellow student under Master you would easily dodge arrows such as this~ so…" After making a signal the hundred enemies draw the weapons in their waist and clad them in sword qi.

"Try to face a hundred soldiers half a step to become sword masters~ then!" With her cue the enemies charged at me.

"Heh!" Seeing the hundred soldiers with swords clad in sword qi I spinned my spear and let the andrenaline course through me freely and with a grin I took a single step and…

Grab

Hmm? I looked confusingly at Yamada who grabbed my shoulder.

"Let me take this you need to preserve your energy because they are not the only enemies this time." Saying his piece, he walked in front of me and I snapped out of my stupor. True we might face the Royal Army and the Crown Prince or powerful swordmasters and even mages. Sighing, I dismissed my spear and my Mystic Code and yelled at Yamada.

"Dude don't kill them okay; the instructor may be ruthless but he is slightly a big softie pertaining his disciples~." I remind him and I suddenly remembered also that huge black tiger that tried to maul No. 17 in the mountains before… it had a sad ending thought. Laughing at me mentioning that, Yamada faced the rushing enemies and closed his eyes.

Confused, Sia looked questioningly at Yamada till she heard Yamada's words entered her ears.

"Hey… have you ever fought a dragon?" With those words his eyes snapped back open with black sclera and blood red pupils with his pupils had turned into slits akin to a reptile or... a dragon. With black internal qi flowing out of his mouth akin to him breathing in the cold along the black haze his eyes emitting, a black shadow slowly rose behind him taking a strange foggy form yet a pair of blood red eyes also stared in front akin to looking down at the 'ants' in his vision.

Smiling, the black shadow seemingly copying his actions and also smiled making its features more defined and it slight looked like a black malevolent oriental dragon with the antler-like horns and dragon whiskers.

"You guys don't want to come first? Then… allow me!!!" His voice now more ruff and had an inhuman vibe barely registered in their ears when they saw him took a single step and suddenly turned into a black blur. One of the enemies in the forefront suddenly raised his sword instinctively just in time for Yamada to reappear in front of him with his hand, now engulfed by a strange black energy forming a claw that is trying to grab his head.

Clang!

With a rebound the guy flew back a few meters hitting his allies and they tumbled into the ground. Shocked, everyone saw Yamada now clearly when he forcefully absorbed the recoil. His arms now, coated by a strange black energy turning into a scaled and dangerous appendage akin to a dragon's arm but more humanoid. His feet also clad with the same energy had also changed while his teeth slightly looked sharper along his canines that slightly grew.

"Ahhh~ crap I still hate using this mode on…" Stretching his arms and loosening his muscles and made a stance akin to a certain Turtle School that have a perverted old man as the master.

Breathing hardly, he laughed then made an unexpected move. Instead of rushing again he instead dived into the ground and suddenly turned into a shadow and quickly arrived near the enemy's shadow. Choking the shadow, the owner of the shadow suddenly grabbed his neck and coughed roughly and his face, now revealed because of him struggling slowly whitened in fear.

[What? You think you're the only one with awesome teachers Will?] It seems he saw my shocked expression when his voice suddenly echoed around us. I did not knew this guy can do this and it did put me into a state of shock. Yamada who is now a shadow laughed and loosened his victims neck when sword qi suddenly targeted him and broke the ground.

[Oops that's dangerous~!] Moving in the ground in a wave like motion he dodged the attacks aiming at him. It seems he would still be affected by attacks in a shadow form if he is dodging. After incapacitating another 20 enemies, Yamada in shadow form is now in the ceiling looking at the shivering enemies. Slowly stepping out of the shadows (literally) he looked at his foes in amus.e.m.e.nt.

"I… did not thought the 'master' that you told the organization was actually a dragon…" Sia now looking at Yamada with a different light gripped the sword she was holding.

"Ahh~ correction! My master is a half-dragon; she may not be as crazy as the instructor in rearing students but she is still a great teacher~." As if remembering something unpleasant, Yamada shivered in fear slightly. His arms now had already returned to normal and he is opening and closing it as if the 'sensation' of his arms is slightly numb.

"But I believe that form you are in needs a lot of energy to sustain my dear junior~." Sia said after noticing his changes.

"True, I can't sustain this form for a long period due to me being still weak and lacking practice…" Agreeing at Sia's words Yamada nodded his head and with a blink, his eyes had also returned to normal.

"But I did not mention to you senpai~… I was busy doing some other stuff you see~." After saying that sentence a sudden change suddenly happened. One of the enemy as if instinctively, he looked at the ground and…

"Wha-!?" With one of the black clothed enemy's sudden shout we looked back at them and saw a strange and creepy phenomenon unfolding in front of us.

"[He~ he~ he~!!!]" All the shadows of the black clothed enemies eerily smiled copying Yamada's expression and suddenly solidified and stabbed their 'owners'.

Shocked at the spectacle as we saw the shadows slowly 'crawl out of the ground we', watched as Yamada nodded satisfyingly and when he saw my face he laughed and pointed at my face.

"Dude your face looks stupid right now~! Hahaha~!! You did not forget the old man Zero's other nickname right?"

Fixing my expression I looked at him grudgingly and tried to remember it. Seeing the new 'shadow entities' replacing their 'owners' I finally remembered it.

"Ahh! [Shadow Army]! No wait he thought you that!?" Finally remembering it after a few minutes I looked shocked at Yamada who have a smug look.
