Chapter 69 - 65: The village of Raft (Part II)

Clang! Clash! Bang!

"Woah!" I cried out seeing the huge crack in the ground. When Theresa suddenly swung, her sword erasing the occurring dust.

"Excellent reflexes, your swordsmanship is also commendable." She said after seeing me unscathed.

"Well, I had a lot of amazing teachers ya see." I said suddenly reminiscing about those 'times'.

"They sure did... But that stance… Where you fighting enemies with a big build?" She said seeing my form.

With a slightly crouched knees, and my sword lowered to my side it is the usual style Saber used even in the Holy Grail Wars. It looks like it had a lot of openings seeing me focusing only in one side but if you're fighting gigantic beings like a white dragon or giants pretty much you're going to throw some defenses a bit. But with excellent Instincts, defenses is pretty much useless when you can basically dodge.

"Yeah, I had fought a lot of beings with a higher build than me you see… especially an 'ogre' was my recent catch." I said provoking a grin from her.

"Ho~ then try to catch this big sister 'Ogre' then! Oryaaa!" With a mighty swing, she practically broke the ground to pieces and the resulting cracks slowly approached me forcing me to break my stance.

'Hmm!' Sensing a change in the air, I dodged the flying rock fragments propelled to me in a certain direction.

"There!" Crying out, I kicked the ground and rushed in a particular direction while in the cloud of dust. When I noticed she was not in the anticipated direction, I immediately rolled away doding a wide swing coming from my back.

"Tch, your instincts is also as annoying as an animal." She said spitting in the ground.

"Hehe~ what getting sleepy?" I said to her earning me a pissed off face.

"You know what… I am getting tired of that petty mouth of yours." She said and tensed her body in preparation. Sensing the sudden malevolent aura, she is emitting, I prepared for the incoming blow when…

Boom!

With an explosive sound, she suddenly appeared in front of me in mid swing. Not anticipating the sudden sharp increase of speed, I got no choice but to block her sword.

Creak!

'Heavy!' I thought feeling the creaking from my knees. Sensing a movement in the air, I loosened my hold of my sword forcing me to disarm myself and with a twist of my waist and my right arm forming a fist.

"Haaah!" I punched her stomach making her fly away.

Bang!! With a crash, she struck to the walls of the inn while the shock crowd had their mouth agape.

'Why the hell is her abdominal muscles so hard' I said, massaging my muscles. Seeing the cloud of dust settle down, I relaxed myself when…

"You better not relax yourself when the enemy is still alive boy…" Theresa's cold voice suddenly was heard in my back. In panic, I reinforced my arm and parried the claymore that was trying to cut me in half.

"Huh?" She cried out incredulously while I used the resulting recoil to distance myself.

"Haa, Haa, Why did I not sense you appearing in my back?" I questioned her while trying to catch up my breath.

"We all have our tricks, William-kun~ similar to that you are doing right now~." She said noticing the glow of my magical circuits visible in my exposed skin.

"Ma~, you have a point. Yet I wonder why your strikes seems to have the intent to kill. I did not do anything wrong to you aside from wanting to ask some directions right?" I said to her.

"Then let me ask you this. Does all of the enemies you fought and the ones you will face in the future will have a reason?" She said and resumed again in her assault.

"True, as I hate to admit it that tends to happen. But, because I don't wanna fight you to the death let's wrap this up shall we?" I said forming a mischievous smirk.

"What?!" Startled, she quickly backed away from me in panic and looked at me with a piercing gaze.

"As I said let's wrap this up shall we~." I said grabbing the sword I had dropped. Seeing her looking at me suspiciously, it seems my preparations are complete.

"Here I come!" With a shout, I charged at her while coating my sword with sword qi.

'Now!' Seeing her so focused in my sword, I dropped it the second time eliciting a startled shout from her but her gaze still did not leave the sword. Reinforcing my palms, I also let loose my bloodl.u.s.t forcing her gaze to go back to me when…

"BAAAM!" I screamed at her, alongside clapping my hands in front of her face. With the sudden spike of brain activity, a single wide opening forcefully happened letting her suddenly get paralyzed.

'Now!' F.o.r.c.i.b.l.y reeling in my bloodl.u.s.t, I struck her down in the temples with a chop and knock her out cold.

"…"

"Huuu~ that was pretty tiresome." I said dropping myself to the ground.

"I can't believe it…" One of the spectators suddenly said.

"He just beat 'The Ogre'!"

"What move did he do in that last moment!?" Cried out another one. Then the crowd suddenly started frol.i.c.k.i.n.g about talking how I beat someone legendary and such, bla bla bla.

"Can't believe you plagrized that move…" A whisper suddenly entered my ears. Noticing a raven perched in my shoulder, I praised him for a bit.

"Well I was not the first one. Our twisted instructor was the first." I replied, observing him pocketing some money with a grin.

"Ma~ I haven't checked his little booklet before, let me borrow it tonight. Still it's already a bit late to go to the Guild right? Let's rest for a bit for today." He said and the raven dematerialized.

"*Sigh* Might as well… I said." Standing up and approached the lying Theresa and carried her in a princess carry. I hummed a tune entering the tavern, unaware of a silent gaze observing me somewhere.

"To think she was beaten easily, and a child with such high potential no less! I must send this news to my master" With that whisper, the observer silently retreated back to the shadows…

Extra:

The instructor's legendary techniques.

Later that night.

"Hmm let me see what techniques the instructor wrote down shall we~…" Yamada secretly snickered and opened the book that greeted him with an emblazoned sentence.

"A technique will still be considered a technique if it serves a purpose no matter how shameless it looks… That's the instructor for ya~" he said after reading it a loud. Flipping the pages, he started to read the titles of the techniques written down only for his expression to turn from aghast to seeing something horrifying.

"What the hell! Ten Thousand Years of Death, Monkey Steals the Peach, Twin Dragon's Thrust, Ippu-tasai Kyosei-ken (Polygamist Castration Fist) and a technique to disguise totally of the opposite gender!? The instructor really is scary… I don't want to continue reading the others or my mind might break…" He said forcefully closing the book in horror.

"I better read this in the morning instead or I might get some nightmares…" He said and quickly tuck himself to his bed.
