It wasn't a dream. That fact had become apparent to Ashley when she awoke back in the store she had hidden out in, along with the new fact that nowhere was truly safe here. The quite well kept store was now in shambles, glass window broken, shattered, and the front desk counter on the way inside crushed so distinctively, she could tell from where she lay. But worst of all, whatever had come in had taken Tyler's plane. Without a moment's hesitation, Ashley sat up and frantically looked around the room, not yet stable enough to get up. She looked for the plane as her legs came to later then the rest of her body, dangling as if dead over the bedside. With no sign of what to her was a lost treasure, Ashley began to tear up. That was the last thing she had of her little brother. It was his favorite toy, he never went anywhere without it. Even on that day. The day he was taken, right before her eyes. The toy was all that remained on the ground where he was standing, his innocence still freshly torn, and some of it staying on the toy's wood.

But he wasn't gone. Tyler couldn't be gone. Ashley wouldn't accept that. They could never find the body, any of them. He had probably gone through a lot through these years, but maybe there was still a chance he was alive. He had to be alive. Ashley once again scanned the room for the blue plane that she was holding before she had gone to sleep, but nothing blue and red seemed to stand out in the light. It was really gone, but then she got a thought that filled her with hope instead of despair. Maybe Tyler had broken in. She stood up and began to examine herself. "Not a scratch." She concluded. Whatever had taken the plane didn't even hurt her. "It could've been him!" She yelled in excitement. He WAS alive! But then she was halted by another nagging question. "Why didn't he stay? Why didn't Tyler wake me up?" Ashley asked. Unexpectedly, she had an answer ready in the back of her mind. She was so happy to have one, that she did not react to how scared she was in the face she could've been wrong. That Tyler could've been dead, and she had simply gotten lucky. But that didn't have to be the case! "Maybe he was scared! The place is in shambles, maybe he ran for it and didn't have time!"

Ashley then realized the premise of what she had just said. "Oh no! Tyler! I'm coming!!!" She dashed out of the store, past the door and through the open window, ignoring the crushed employee counter in front of it. She got a slight scratch on her forehead, but she had no time for that! Tyler was running from whatever had done that, and she was just standing there doing nothing! How could she? Was she going to let him down again? "Oh god, could he already be..?" She went silent, still pumping her arms running from the destroyed store. "NO!" She shouted. She wouldn't let him down! She couldn't! Not after the years he had to wait! These thoughts and the ones of earlier made her run faster than she had ever run before. She could catch anyone at this speed. Almost anyone. She could hear it in the distance. Something running. Something running fast. "COME BACK!" She yelled, not caring who she found at this point. To her surprise, the footsteps stopped, and she began to run faster, thinking Tyler was right around the corner with full memory of his sister's voice.

Ashley had not been chasing her hopes. She was instead chasing someone else, and when she realized this, her hopes were chased away. "What the?!?" She shrieked as she rounded the corner, Ashley was jumped immediately after. No hesitation from the pale goblin-like creature attacking her. Its teeth huge and it's eyes none existent. But it wasn't as if the eyes had been plucked out. No, it was lacking holes for eyes as well. It had no arms, short legs, and was half Ashley's size, yet it was still keeping Ashley down. Ashley didn't scream, she wasn't afraid of this thing, but she did begin to fight back once she adjusted to what was going on. It had already begun kicking her quite hard and even biting her a bit, but she had something for the oversized mouth of the annoyance. With all her might, she forced her fist into the gremblin's jaw, sending it flying and reeling, and it wasn't the only one.

Ashley soon found that the creature's jaw was harder than she thought. She too began to spasm in pain as her knuckles began to bleed like never before. She hadn't planned ahead, and now she was painfully paying for it, falling to the ground almost in sync with the striped terror. Both of them squirming on their backs, one writhing in agony, the other cradling their fists. And then there was the third of the group. The one Ashley had failed to see when she had rounded the corner. They looked just like the other little monster, but they lacked the goblin like ears, and their nose wasn't nearly as standout. The two of them were both in striped shirts, the one that had attacked Ashley was clothed in Red and a shiny jean blue, but this other one was a dark blue and purple. Both also shared a love of propeller hats and… Wait a second. Ashley knew who this was! It was an opinion only she seemed to possess, but this was her favorite character! "You're JJ!" She said, feeling dumbfounded it took her this long to realize, despite the character's obvious change in form. She was more nightmarish, but not nearly as startling as her doppleganger, still dialed over in pain. JJ, unseen by Ashley somehow, had moved to see if the pale goblin was ok, but was now turned towards Ashley, a bit retracted.

Unlike her reflection, JJ did indeed have arms, which were quite clearly wooden a bit thick. Ashley attempted to rise from the ground, but as she did so, Ashley saw JJ tense up, curling and uncurling her fingers. They were not delayed, they made no metallic sounds. The wood was pure wood, and yet it moved as if flesh and bone. As if human still, but not. This reminded Ashley of her current predicament and she jolted at the pain. Almost instantly, this sent JJ into a panic attack. Before Ashley could get out a word, JJ had knocked on the ground with her wooden forearm, her movement again too fluent for a robot. And maybe even for a human. Either way, Ashley had not expected it. She had not expected to be attacked with no warning, by her favorite character no less, and her brain, braced or not, went out from the blow, it's impact seemed deafening. And deathening.
