10 Auditions 4

Sam and Daniel bro hugged and bowed to the judges to thank them for their time. Martin gave out hugs and handshakes to the judges before they left. Oliver waved sadly at Sam as they left.

"Let's go boys, we have to go to the real auditions now!" said Martin as he walked to the door. They left the office and took the elevator to the 1st floor. As they went out, an extremely handsome young man passed by them.

He was wearing a black bomber jacket and had a plain white shirt underneath it. Despite his simple outfit, he seem sophisticated and aloof. He seemed very mature despite his age. His fine chiseled features were set in an indifferent mask, and his enchanting grey eyes seemed cold and mysterious. The elevator doors closed before Sam could observe more about the handsome stranger.

"Who was that?" asked Sam.

"That was Draven Lars. He's an entrepreneur and CEO of Corvus. He's an actor too and belongs to an ancient powerful family. The fans know him as a suave kind man, but in the business circle, he is known as the Ice Devil and King of Hell and Heaven. He is cold and ruthless to his opponents and is protective of the companies that work under him. He has both a sharp tongue and mind. His friends and family are treated very well and are kept a secret. He donates regularly to charities and the most unlucky of his enemies have disappeared. He is a very dangerous man," said Martin with a stern and serious look on his face, very different from the usual positive look he usually had.

Sam nodded quickly. Although the stranger was handsome, that did not decrease how dangerous he was.

They got into Maritn's private car. Sam was amazed by the built in refrigerator in the car. When the chaffeur offered a cold water from the fridge, Sam's eyes lit up and he quickly nodded. Martin and Daniel laughed at Sam's childishness.

They arrived at a large silver and grey building that had the large logo of Silver Castle Ent.

"This place is where the auditions are going to be held and where the trainees train and stay," said Martin as he got out of the car, nodding his thanks to the chaffeur for opening his door.

Sam and Daniel got out of the car before marvelling at the large building. Its size was comparable to a large mall.

"This facility has dorms, a cafeteria, a gym, dance rooms, library, classrooms, a study hall, a nurse office, free hangout space, sport fields, and theatre. We have our own nutritionists, professional coaches, and professors. Even if you fail to become a star, the graduates from the school can enter a good college," said Martin nonchalantly.

"Holy sh*t!" Daniel exclaimed. "This is like a private school for really rich kids!"

"The list?" asked Sam.

"The list is a ranking system. You can gain points by doing well in classes, performing well in assesments, and getting support from teachers, stars, or students. There are benefits for being at the top of the list. Staying at the top for 2 month means you go up a letter in rank as a trainee and get access to more things. People who stay at the bottom get benefits taken away, but they still get the basics, like access to the gym, nutritious food in the cafeteria, and other things."

"What benefits do trainees get based on rank?"

"S ranked trainees get tailor made diets and workout plans as well as personal stylists, coaches, and cooks. They are exempted from class. They get their own apartments, classes with better professors, advice from the high ups and graduates, access to private facilities, they also get 1,000 every 2 weeks for whatever they want, whether it be clothes or services, they get better treatments and are exempt from some rules. A rank gets tailored diets and work out plans, suites, better classes, 500 every 2 weeks, and are exempted from a couple of rules. B rank gets better food, bigger rooms to their self, standard classes, and 250 every two weeks. C and lower get the basics. The higher, the more luxurious it is, even if you are of low rank, you still get pretty good treatment."

"That sounds like a dream," said Sam.

"It is, but the students are extremely competitive. After all, this is a battle to get to the top. People scheme, bully, and hurt others."

"Why don't you guys do anything about it?"

"If they want to make it in the entertainment world, they are going to have to fight. This is nothing compared to the real thing where people try their hardest to kill and sabotage you."

"That's really scary, but I can see why you let it be. This is the best way to get them used to it. The best way to train them for the real world," said Sam, deep in thought.

"So it can either be paradise or hell,"observed Daniel.

"Of course, people's dreams and hopes are at risk. People decieve and seduce others just to get higher. For a better chance."

Sam whistled. "Dang, I don't know if I'll survive in this vicious world you speak of."

Martin laughed. "Don't worry I'm sure you'll do great."

Sam grinned. "Thanks, do you have any advice?"

Martin thought for a while before he responded. "Watch out for wolves in sheep's clothing."
