POV: Ezekiel

Jumping out of the abandoned building, I landed in a dark and completely empty alley. Deciding to explore the city some more, I turned my heel towards the streets and began my exploration.

Despite my expectations of the city it seemed....interesting.

Even though it was pitch black outside, the locals seemed to be livelier than ever.

Although not very populated, there was a large number of people roaming the streets. In the dark city of Gotham, it seemed like the people never truly slept.

On the streets a multitude of people were walking.

There a variety of different stereotypes all around, such as the typical thugs, a few goths, some weirdos dressed in bright neon, and even some kids seem to be running around

Speaking of goths, this reminds me I could still feel the presence of that Batboy flying above the clouds, but it seems he isn't alone this time.

'Looks like he called in his super friends' I though with a sigh

Walking out of the alley I expanded my senses to the surrounding few miles. Searching through the air and ground, I found three of the pajamas heroes flying through the air and one of them running at a high speed. While Batboy seemed to be in his ship with another hero.

Knowing they were looking for me, I decided to play with them a little.

Concentrating on the Batboy in his ship, I project a force spirit of myself just for the hell of it.

With the spirit set up, I began to further explore the city and its people.

Finding myself interested with the people, I followed the largest crowd.

POV: Batman

"Such a lovely night, isn't it Bruce? Perfect night to admire the stars" Diana spoke as she leaned her head onto the back of my seat.

" It'll be better once we catch this guy" I grumbled as I continued to check the scanners for any trace of the unknown assailant.

Sitting back with a sigh, Diana continued to look out the glass at the midnight sky. The full moon together with a cloudless night made the stars shine especially bright.

As they continue to fly in silence, Diana grew bored and tried to strike up another conversation.

"Say Bruce I know this great Restaur—-"

Whoosh

With a sudden jerk the Batwing was turned to the side as a figure appeared in front of them.

In the night sky, a dark shadow stood out as the lights shined from the jet.

Floating silently in the sky was the same masked figure Batman had encountered before.

"That's him" I growled to Wonder Women as the jet regained stability.

Acting quick before the man had time to escape or disappear again, Diana open the c.o.c.kpit and jumped out. She quickly flew in front of the robed figure and stopped a few meters before him.

" Hello, I am Diana of Themyscira and I mean you no harm. We simply wish to talk" Wonder Woman spoke aloud to the figure with her hands raised.

Seeing that the figure made no move to respond, Diana continued.

" We are with The Justice League and we simply wish to—"

We a jolt the robed figure sudden dashed towards Wonder Woman.

Startled, Diana instinctively reached for her lasso to subdue the man. But just before she could even act, the man shoot past. Seeing that the man was heading towards the jet, Wonder Women quickly followed to stop him if he intended to harm Batman.

Already prepared the moment he saw the man, Batman took evasive maneuvers. Quickly heading downwards, the jet began a noise dive at a steep angle.

Checking the reflective glass, Batman could still see the man chasing after him with Wonder Woman close behind.

With no options left as the man was almost on top of the jet, Batman activated the weapons system's and locked onto the figure.

Quickly a high powered stun cannon revealed itself from the back of the jet.

Behind the man, Wonder Woman knew she wouldn't be able to reach the jet in time it would take the figure to attack. He was just simply too fast to reach in time. She could only hope Batman had a plan.

With the man almost seconds away from reaching the jet, Batman launched the cannon.

Booomm!

The cannon shot our a blue beam and traveled straight towards the figure. With almost no room to dodge, Batman knew he had him.

Then the unthinkable happened, the man had completely dodge the beam.

Almost instantaneously, he had shifted his body parallel to the beam with practically only centimeters separating the two apart.

Shocked, Diana could barely react in time to bring up her bracelets to deflect the cannon. The blue beam seemed to be stronger than Diana anticipated and she was shot out of the sky.

"WONDER WOMAN!" Yelled Batman as he watched his teammate begin to rapidly fall to earth.

Seeing that Diana wasn't unconscious only disoriented, Batman knew he needed to either catch her or slow her descent before she hits the ground.

Completely forgetting about the unknown figure, Batman quickly raced after Wonder Woman.

Racing through the air at high speeds, Batman tried to catch Wonder Woman but the ground was already rapidly approaching and the jet wasn't capable of catching her....With the ground quickly approaching, Batman went to the comms and yelled in desperation

" HELP. NOW"

With only hope that either Flash or Superman made it in time, Batman in finally act of despair jumped out the jet and fell towards her.

Cutting through the air, Batman quickly slammed into Wonder Woman and tried to slow their descent. With the ground seconds away and Wonder Woman still disoriented, Batman wrapped his arms around Wonder Woman while closing his eyes for the inevitable impact .

But the impact never came.

Gasping in surprise that they weren't crushed into the pavement, Batman opening his eyes to see that that he and Wonder Woman were suspended in midair, a few feet of space separating them and ground.

Looking around to see how they were suspended, Batman saw that the figure, Ezekiel floating behind them with his hand outstretched.

Shocked, Batman barely noticed being gently lowered to the ground while still holding onto Wonder Woman.

"Ughh... What hit me?" Diana g.r.o.a.n.e.d as she brought her hand towards her head.

Momentarily distracted Batman glanced down at Wonder Woman in his arms and sighed in relief that she was okay.

After making sure Wonder Woman was okay, Batman turned to glare at the man but found he was already gone.

'Huh... so that's what that feels like' Batman thought mentally as the figure completely vanished from his sights.

Standing up slowly Batman helped Wonder Woman back to her feet.

"By Hera that stung. Where did the man go?" Asked Wonder Woman as she regained her footing.

Before he could respond, a swoosh of air and feet coming to a halt drew their attention.

"Are you guys alright?!" Flash exclaimed as he appeared in a blur of red.

"We are fine Friend Flash. But the man, Ezekiel has escaped." Wonder Woman explained while finally get back to her feet.

"We had him, he was right in front of us. He's mocking us now!" Batman growled as he turned his back to remotely land the Batwing to ground.

Diana only rolled her eyes at Batman's grumpiness and turned towards the sky, she saw the rest of the League descending towards them.

"Are you guys Ok? We heard the distress call" Hawk Women asked as she landed with a flap of her large wings.

" We are fine, but the man has escaped us" replied Wonder Women.

Quickly looking around and scanning the area, Superman extended all of his senses and X-ray vision.

With a sigh he turned back,"He isn't here anymore, I can't find him" he spoke aloud to his teammates.

"If he's gone now we're not gonna find him if he doesn't want to be found. This guy's probably highly trained, but he's gonna lay low if were all looking for him"Green Lantern added while crossing his arms.

Nodding in agreement, everyone made an unanimous decision, except Batman, to call off the search for now.

"Well this been fun guys, but I got 6 pepperoni pizza's calling my name. Check you later!" Flash quipped as he sped away in a 'flash'.

" Lois is probably wonder where I am."Superman spoke as he was already flying towards the clouds.

Hawk Women and Green Lantern merely nodded their heads while pressing on their comms for J'onn to teleport them to the Watch Tower.

Once everyone dispersed only Wonder Woman and Batman were left alone together.

" Well.. since were free, why don't we get something to..."

" I'm not done investigating this guy Diana. I'll find him." Batman spoke as he turned dramatically with his dark cape billowing behind.

With a leap Batman jumped into his jet while only casting Diana a single quick glance.

' I'll get this guy Diana. I make sure you never get hurt again .' Thought Batman with a fierce determination as he flew away.

Diana turned her head towards the Batwing and watched as it rapidly moved away.

Look down at her feet, Diana finally exclaimed a single word in frustration.

"IDIOT!"

POV. Ezekiel

Following the crowd, I soon found myself at what seems to be a band playing at a rave of sorts.

Slipping through the crowds, I found myself going closer to the band that was playing on the stage at the moment.

The music was loud and the whole floor was vibrating, but overall the song had nice lyrics.

' Clair would have liked this' I thought while trying to drift away with the song.

For awhile it seemed peaceful, even with the tens of people around me and the incredibly loud music.

Just as I was about to walk away, I felt someone fall into my back and grab me for support.

Surprised I looked down to see a beautiful girl with maroon hair and wide sea green eyes stare back at me in shock.

"Oops"
