From Mightiest Hero to Demon King

Demon King starts trade negotiations

Flatus, one of the fortified cities forming a group of urban states.

Located in the southeast within the former demon's national territory, it assumes the role of an agricultural plant and has a number of large farms around it as a food bank for a group of urban states.

The city was also the first to be attacked in a series of slave robberies by demons and had a bitter experience of being occupied by demons for several days.

The city's leading men lost their legs or were murdered, including the chancellor Yom Walt, so their political functions went completely mahi and the city was utterly disrupted.

It was Marco Horman, then deputy commander of the military, who rebuilt it.

His father gave him the Homan surname from the King for a beating up from civilians, and his son Marco also raised a martial arts medal as Walt's subordination in the 'Land of Demons' offensive strategy.

For military personnel, their stature is comparable, but they have a reputation for combat techniques involving swordsmanship and magic. The commanding ability in the mass battle is a man who pulled out of the group and ascended to the subcommand of the Flatus Urban Army at a young age in front of thirty.

And in the case of the slave robbery, he is praised as a hero who negotiated reciprocally with the leader of the devil's side to protect the inhabitants.

While tentatively in the chairmanship of the city council, he stood busy combining military and political affairs.

In the office on the floor, Horman in military uniform was looking at a single letter.

The door is knocked and a young soldier enters the room. Tall and young, it's Horman's right arm.

"Excuse me. Deputy Director Horman...... No, Chancellor. Summoned."

"You're not used to each other, Keith. Well, call me."

I gratefully give a letter to Keith, a young soldier sitting in a chair.

"What's this?

"From Gallius, the leader of the devil clan."

"Become!?"

Keith glanced at the content, stunned. I trembled in anger as I went on reading, and when I finished reading, I screamed.

"How disgusting! There is so much shame in 'wanting to trade' and so on while you insult us all!

"Keith, don't get so hot." I propose groundbreaking farming tools, "and I have no interest in the agricultural city of Flatus."

"No way, do you take it!?"

"That's 'no way'. That letter doesn't say anything specific. If you don't listen to the details, you can't judge."

"But according to the letter, we are calling deep into the suburban woods. With all due respect, it's not worth discussing."

Horman received a letter from Keith, laughing bitterly.

The designated location is a fountain an hour down the woods to the east of the city, a dangerous area where demons also appear.

"I have trouble getting into the city with the Demons. He's going to get on board even if he's single, but I guess he just took it into account because he's got a cracked face. Instead, it's a good idea to meet in secret."

Rumor has it that the Virgin of the Rubian state is visiting the kingdom and imperial garrisons?

We have also been told that there are moves towards the establishment of a united state, and we may not be questioned by negotiating with the Demons.

Negotiations under water would be mandatory.

"But if anything happens to the Deputy Commander..."

"If my life was meant to be, I wouldn't have done this. If he cares, my assassination will be easy. Anyway, he seems to be the brave one."

Keith gathered disgust between his eyebrows.

"I can't believe that man named the Demon King is a hero of the kingdom."

"Hmm. You think so, too? But I'm more convinced than Prince Jeredo is said to be a brave man."

The gift given by the brave is said to be the [item master]. It is a rare and supreme gift to use all kinds of weapons.

"I've never seen my face either, but I looked just like a brave man in holy armor on the battlefield. The story of the man who saw his face said he looked ugly like a pig."

"But... so why are brave men doing demonic leaders and such?

"I don't know why. but now if we meet and talk, we might be clear"

At the time I first read the letter, Horman's belly was set.

A man who is a man but leads the devil tribe.

We talked about it several times while the city was occupied. As a matter of reason, the purpose is clear. Be sure to do what you say and be sincere about not breaking your promise.

Why is he leading a demon tribe while a man?

I really want to be sure that I couldn't ask at the time.

But it was visible that if I consulted the congressmen, they would disagree, so I was only going to tell Keith about the situation in case he thought about it and go out.

"Take me too!

But the bloody young man is willing to follow.

Horman left it to another trusted man to stay away and take Keith alone to leave the city behind -.

Ahead on the trail the horse managed to cross.

Horman and Keith reached a place that opened snugly in the woods. Surprised to see an enormous object floating in a large fountain.

"Is this... an imperial airship?

"We were talking about being taken away by the Demons, so perhaps..."

They've never seen the real thing before. I could not believe that an object heavy enough to cross an ancient dragon would fly through the sky.

"This stuff floats in the sky and fires magic shells from above..."

"The defense is also with the iron wall..."

It is also impossible that one of the urban states, Grausta, has been devastated.

The two were often stunned and left to fear running on their backs.

and part of the flank of the airship opened for the bouncing bridge to descend. Its elongated interior is staircased and unloaded onto the banks of the fountain.

From aboard, a man appeared.

"I'm sorry to call you so far away. Quick, but let's talk inside. Keep the horse there. I'll keep an escort here so the beast doesn't attack me."

This is Gallius, the undisputed leader of the demonic clan.

Horman and Keith met each other in the face, then led the horse up the stairs to the tree as directed.

I was put through to a large conference room.

When you get to the long table, an elf woman puts tea in front of you. A young Keith fell in love with her beauty for a moment, but quickly became a rude face.

"It's not poisoned. The tea leaves were sourced in grams, so let's guarantee the flavor."

Gallius is sitting face to face.

There's a distance, but it's totally just the three of us out of service. No, it seems like a strangely small, rugged slime, but that's all.

Horman and Keith had no weapons taken up and were in a one-on-two favorable situation.

But Gallius also has a weapon on his hip. It is the Holy Sword, the treasure of mankind shining in gold.

(sourced in grams, you say? Are the Demons sending spies...)

Horman sipped a cup of tea. The aromatic aroma and heat calm your mind.

"I want you to let me check first. Was your lord a brave man in the kingdom?

"I don't know. He is my covenant, Galius the Brave."

A woman's neck popped out of her sword, and Horman crushed her liver.

"Is there one that comes out of nowhere? I'm sorry. This is like a spirit living in holy weapons."

'My name is Elzanard. Later, get to know each other.'

The woman smiled and flickered with her hands out of her sword.

"Spirit...... No, you're right. I've heard stories of such beings living in holy weapons. I didn't think it existed..."

Just like Horman, who got upset, Keith doesn't have a voice in a series of surprises.

"Well, I want you to watch this after my story"

Gallius sidelined Horman, saying something, signaling to Puwi at his feet.

"Piui."

Puwi jumped up a bit and glanced perfectly over the long table.

Video floats up on the wall.

"Nah - what is this!?"

…………

Horman stood up not too surprised and the chair rolled flashly. Keith is half relieved.

"It's a magic tool for wheat pruning. It's not harvest time, so I'm mowing similar weeds. As you can see, we pride ourselves on being groundbreaking."

"Oh yeah, I think that's great stuff...... No! He's showing up on the wall. What's this? Magic equipment for wheat pruning, like your lord's hand-held car? I'm pushing that. Even though you're here!

"I was the one who used the magic equipment there yesterday. This slime is special. This is how other slimes can reproduce what they see and hear in the plane. This researcher's story suggests a combination of some magic, but so far it's not clear"

"... it's not phantom magic, is it?

"Its application, you can think of it. But it wasn't a creation, it was an actual event."

Horman dropped his hips like he was out of strength. In a hurry, Keith undoes the fallen chair.

"So, what do you think? Are you interested in magic tools for wheat pruning?

Horman saw the footage once again.

Even though it is a simple structure like a hand pressed car, when the wheat is pruned forward, it automatically binds a certain amount and discharges it backwards.

It was easier and I had never seen a farming tool that made precise moves.

The demonic slaves are gone, and Frattas is seriously understaffed.

This fall's harvest is less than 70% year-over-year. There was no prospect of the harvest returning after next year.

To Horman, who looks troubled, Gallius folds.

"It's not just farm tools for harvest, of course. I've just finished developing something for the cultivation of this kind of thing."

Show another video and explain carefully.

I moved on to presenting the conditions without getting hairy.

"I want you to buy out a certain number of these agricultural magic fixtures. Will you let me learn how to run a large farm there again during the winter?"

"You want me to accept the Demon Clan?

"Handling prefers trainees. I didn't know that when I was working as a slave, I needed the know-how to run a large farm. They've originally dealt with only a certain amount of farmland in small settlements."

Gallius said he also wanted to actively start trading with other groups of urban states by getting foreign currency.

"We're on foot, you mean?"

"Keep the farm tools cheap for that matter. After that, I won't complain if I produce mane there. I use precious materials that are only available in the endless woods. You can wholesale the area as a priority."

"In fascination, there is. But..."

As Horman gathered his distress between his eyebrows, Gallius asked as he saw through.

"Do you feel comfortable with the Rubian nation?

"... right. Assuming we are headed towards a united nation, contact with your lord is considered problematic in itself."

Gallius shook his shoulder with great admiration.

"We're still talking about this, aren't we? The development of the city in the first place - more to the point - is a measure for the rich living of the city's inhabitants. You think God's spokesperson would understand that?

"That's... right, isn't it? Mostly, I don't even think the Demons can be trusted."

"They're desperate to live, too. Once we had a huge defeat, we were driven to the end and there was no aftermath. They want peace. That's why we're exploring the path to friendship."

"Did your lord sympathize with the idea and take the Devil's side?

"Things are more complicated, but the basics are. You should take this opportunity to learn how to get along with them. In a way, I think we can have better relations than a nation of people."

"Being hostile to people, huh?

"If you're so vicious, you won't be a slave. It was the truth of the incident earlier that people burned me and finally raised my heavy hips. They don't have the will or the energy to fight people anymore."

Horman thinks arm in arm.

The only thing that goes against the doctrine of the divine faith is that there are persecuted circumstances. If productivity improves, it will benefit not only Flatus, but the entire group of urban states.

It's a good story, but not too good.

Because if a demon clan with an airship and a brave man with holy weapons cares about it, it can also be plundered by force.

"Deputy Commander Horman..."

Keith's eyes are shaking at a loss.

Horman laughed lightly to reassure him.

"For the people, for the development of the city. Interpretation is the mission of another country. I know you're a Virgin, but I won't let you complain. It's against doctrine because it enslaved demons. Now."

Horman stood up and walked over to Gallius.

"Fine. The proposal will be brought back to Parliament, convincing everyone"

"Can you?

Gallius also stood up and made a grin to provoke.

"Those are the people who lit a fire in their ass. When it comes to" use what's available while you can, "you'll accept it even if you're reluctant."

"You're pretty good at telling me that, too."

When I got my hands on it, Horman came to grips with disappointment.

After convincing Parliament of the details.

After roughly deciding on the next stage of negotiations, Gallius dropped the two off.

"Good day, I'm glad the negotiations are going well."

Elf Female Salary - Lilianea came with a new cup of tea in a good mood.

We can have a reciprocal relationship with the city of the people.

I guess she's purely happy with it.

But...

Gallius was rubbing his tea and scouring his thoughts in cold blood.

(Now they can't go back)

The fact that the demons were once used as slaves could have been treated as' divine punishment 'for being robbed and plunged into chaos.

Major figures and slave traders in each city will be shown off, but to that extent.

(But this time, we're going to have an equal relationship with the subpeople at City Gurumi)

I will not tolerate that Virgin, even if we merely proceed with reciprocal negotiations before then.

Flattas will no longer be incorporated into a united state. For giving to the Demons, the fate of being uprooted was decided.

(All you have to do is build up faits accomplis in other city states)

That way the eastern side of the Great River has no other way but to rely on Limullesta.

I just want to rival the kingdom and the empire, or both, with the Patriarchate, if possible. You don't have to pull in here. The point is, we just have to frustrate the united nation.

The faith heart of the Virgin Tiaris is as of the unscrupulous steel Adamantite.

Whatever others do, throw every word, but they don't shake.

(That's your weakness)

Gallius' measures would make no sense at all if we had a mind to tolerate at all.

But she can catch up. Because of its robust faith...
