Old chairman? Carmen growing alone without her parents after her mother died when she was only 10 years. She only know The Chairman as her biological father.

Her father devastated by her mother's dead. He try to covered the pain by going around changing his women and become addicted to make more money.

Carmen has few sibling but they just his father's mistress child and as the only child from the legal wife, she can do whatever she want with her father's money.

Seeing her birth was the truth joyous that the chairman ever had. But in this world, being family cannot be done by only the emotion called love. Lots of things were coming around, such as 'survival'.

I understand that, but since I don't have my own family I did't dare to make any judgement to both of them. I believe they both already suffered enough when losing their will in showing affection to each other.

While thinking on Carmen past, I was looking at the present her who now just a rude and spoiled brat. Carmen bickering with Zaden, who helping her choosing on her jewelry but it's seems they actually getting along quite well.

Both of them exchanging words that sharper than a knife. I just let them doing their things.

I tied my hair and check on how it will be looked from behind. For this occasion I dyed my hair dark red burgundy. It look stunning with my straight long hair.

It almost time to come to the main hall. I take the invitation card with me and look again at the locket.

They clearly are the same symbol. I can felt sudden urge to question everything. I calm my nerves and control the thought.

I look at Zaden, he was helping Carmen who's cranky about her necklace. I am not sure is it just a coincident or they actually can hear my thought. Ignoring the not so important thought, I was more curious about the invitation her father got.

"Carmen, how can your father get the invitation? I thought this was for Royal Family Gathering?"

"My mother actually was born at Ethereal Kingdom. She has the blood of that royal family."

Zaden look stern for a moment. He actually have told me last night. He can sense a royalty blood from Carmen but it just faint smell. It was there but not too strong. That's why Zaden treat her with such manner. He said that it part of his vow.

The whole resort has been covered by a thin blue layer. It says the blue layer actually a barrier that been activated to blocked all the not invited visitor.

Apparently, Carmen also have the same ability. She can see the different colour of living things souls since she was a young kid. I havent ask her yet, but I believe she sees ghost too.

Zaden told me, I have the possibility to possess the same ability but only time can confirm that.

Carmen roll her eyes. She wipe her blood with wet tissue, it has some lavender fragrance on it.

I prick my finger with needle and drip the red fluid into the invitation card. The invitation card was a direct link to enter the barrier. You need to drip your blood to the invitation card so the barrier recognize your scent.

The Royal Family Gathering was being held for two nights and three days straight. We have been given a residence to stay in.

But Old Chairman will not staying since he got few business trips. He will be only joining the main party that will be hosting by the King tonight and then he will leave the island.

Carmen put her heel on. She look so decent with her elegant dress. I can see she is quite serious about this Royal Family Gathering.

Zaden give me a witty smirk. He rise his eyebrow and blink his eyes. He looks so unsettle. I wonder what he hide behind that excited face.

"And I am your BOSS for tonight. Come on, I'll be dragged home by the old chairman if I was late".
