Frozen Soul Trapped In Box Of Love

Chapter 25 - Legacies of lies

Under the morning beam that shines through the big tree, there's two stunning and dashing young men sitting side by side.

Both young men looking from the top hill of the land, not far from them there's a lonely young lady talking by herself.

"You both will definitely become a famous celebrity in my time"

Aya was looking at them closely. As they sat and staring at the view, Aya could take a proper look at their face.

"I will only inherit the throne when I can be a true king of my people. Not just a puppet for a sly human. Who just uses my name and does as they please at my kingdom."

Arslan talks to Carlos with his low voice. Aya nodded her head while listening to their conversation.

"Arslan, I know you are growing up looking forward to becoming like your grandfather. He devoted his life protecting this land from the monster and beast"

Hearing Carlos talk about his grandfather, Arslan let out a soft sigh. It is true that he wants to be brave and reliable as his grandfather.

The Great King was once just an ordinary man. He traveled alone and found this small village. He defends this land from those monsters and beast and it developed to become such a kingdom.

His story was not just a story that passed around as a tale, it was a historic one that actually built this kingdom. But there is something that he hates about his grandfather.

"He was a great man, he led man to be brave and to be strong. Despite the fact that he was using hundreds of women like his toys, he does make this land from a small village to a great kingdom."

Carlos gets up, he stretched his arms out. A sound of a bell echoing and its tingling his ears. He looks at Arslan, who was closing his eyes, seems he was inhaling the fresh air to ease his mind.

"It's time for breakfast. Today I personally asked the kitchen lady to make grilled meat. Everyone has a weakness you know. There's no one can avoid the law of nature"

Carlos smirk when Arslan get up to follow him. There were no such thing as impeccable in this world. When there's strength it happen that weakness exist too. Seems like Arslan can't denied that.

Aya looks around her, it's so different from her current time. Like everything so manually. You have to get water from the well, you have to risk your life hunting for food.

In the modern day, you just need to go out to a convenience store and just buy a cup of instant noodles.

She was grateful to be born in the modern era even though she lost her memories, and the memories didn't seem like a nice one since it doesn't really want to remain in her head.

"This whole magical thing was interesting, but I just want this to get over soon"

Aya let out a soft sigh and she looked up at the sky. The sun shines more brightly now and she could imagine feel the heat if it touch her skin.

The bright sky suddenly turned into darkness, the black sky was now being flared by the lighting and thunderstorms. Aya held her breath by the sudden changes around her.

People were shouting and their voices were somewhat frightened. Some asked for help and some were crying because of their painful wounds.

Aya was shocked by the bizarre view in front of her. She saw the young a.d.u.l.t Arslan trying to save someone. Both of them were drained in rain and red blood.

It looks like a few years have passed since the morning training that Aya just saw. Arlsan has grown taller. In the midst of heavy rain, he still looked captivating.

They were at a small village, the houses were burnt into ashes and some scorched in the blazes of fire.

"What just happened? Are they on war?"

Her eyes widening as she looks around. She gasps with the horrible scene in front of her eyes. In the midst of chaos, she saw Arslan holding a child in his arms.

"Carlos! I need the potion to stop the bleeding"

Arslan shouted while holding a seven year old boy. In the distance Carlos was helping an older woman looking for her grandson.

"Your Highness"

Carlos shouts and throws white bottle that size as his thumb. Arslan catches with his right hand. His left hand was holding down a boy who cried and whining.

"I know that I may not be a smart person but I'm not an idiot. All of this is damn confusing"

Aya grabbed her hair and bit her lips. She was confused and shaking. She looked around trying to grasp the whole situation.

Some soldiers were running around carrying a bucket of water. They were putting out the fire. While it was chaotic, Aya's eyes caught a towering figure that was really calm in this whole situation.

Under a brown leather hood, Aya saw a young guy taking his cloak off his body. He is resemble someone that she knew but Aya can't see it clearly. Soon as Arslan walk passed her, his words remark what was passing in her mind.

"Big brother Derrick? Is that you? You are alive?"
