Chapter 48 Expelling Damon

“Don’t try to provoke my children, I have my own plans for them.”

Viserys pointed at him warningly.

Daemon took a deep breath: "Marry Rhaenyra to me. When I offered you the crown, you said I could have anything I wanted. I want her!"

“I will regard her as my destiny and marry her according to family tradition.”

Viserys sneered: "You already have a wife."

“Even so, Aegon the Conqueror took a second wife,” Daemon insisted.

  唰—

Viserys pulled out the dragon-horn dagger, put it against Daemon's neck, and said angrily: "You are not a conqueror, you are a scourge sent by God to torture me."

Daemon was not afraid, and said with a stiff neck: "Marry Rhaenyra to me, and we will restore the dragon clan to its former glory."

“Of course, it’s not my daughter you covet, right?”

 “It’s my throne!”

Viserys no longer wanted to communicate with this hateful-looking brother and said with disdain:

“I would rather marry Rhaenyra to Rhaegar, or even marry both of my daughters to him, than let you defile them and spy on my throne.”

Withdrawing the dragon-horn dagger, Viserys looked at him with pity and said: "Go back to the valley, Daemon."

“Return to your lawful wife and do everything you can to restore what remains of your honor.”

“Or just break the jar, I don’t care.”

“Just never let me see you again.”

With that said, Viserys wiped the dragon-horn dagger on his sleeve and left disappointed.

Brother’s words broke down Daimon’s psychological defense, causing him to look at the ceiling blankly.

He murmured: "We haven't reached that point yet, brother!"

 …

 Twilight time.

Viserys stood alone by the bedroom window, looking at the distant coastline.

People of the Long family seem to be naturally unafraid of heights and like to stand on high places and look far away.

The same goes for Viserys.

Allison walked over lightly, held his shoulder with one hand, and said softly: "Damon is gone."

“Well done, I don’t want to see him again.”

Viserys became indignant at the mention of Daemon.

"I spoke to Rhaenyra and she denies having **** with Daemon."

"Of course, Rhaenyra has her brother to protect her, so Daemon's plot will not succeed."

“Yes, it would be great if I had a brother like this...”

"What did you say?"

 Viserys turned back in confusion.

"No... I just envy Rhaenyra's close brother-sister relationship, and I hope Aegon and the others can do the same."

Allison blurted out, putting one hand behind his back and subconsciously picking at his fingernails.

Viserys didn't notice anything was wrong, and continued: "The blood of the Dragon family is not trivial. They are restless and chaotic, and only enough wisdom can control them."

“Our children must be full of wisdom and unity.” Allison agreed with a smile.

“I want to marry Rhaenyra to Rhaegar.”

Viserys changed his voice and mentioned this troublesome matter.

Allison's eyes flashed slightly and he lowered his eyes: "It's a good decision. Rhaenyra is upright by nature. Rhaegar will definitely be the big boy Rhaenyra likes when she grows up."

“You think Rhaenyra doesn’t like Rhaegar now?”

Viserys asked questions about blind spots carefully.

Allison hesitated: "I know Rhaenyra and what kind of men she likes."

"Yes, you know her, she also likes to confront her father, and she is not considerate at all."

Viserys lowered his head and smiled bitterly.

"You can try to communicate with her. No matter who Rhaenyra chooses, it will be a good choice."

“I hope, I hope she will not forget the responsibilities on her shoulders.”

Viserys turned around, pulled his wife to the table, and poured two glasses of wine himself.

The two of them looked at each other and drank together, just as it was getting late.

Allison lay expressionless on the bed, ignoring the gasping in his ears, thinking over and over in his mind about the failed conversation with Rhaenyra today.

 …

 half a month later.

“Hurry up, get the boxes on board as soon as possible.”

“Last batch of materials sorting list…”

   …”

At Linhe Gate, shipping officials shouted loudly, instructing sailors to carry items.

Not far away, Viserys stood with his hands behind his hands, looking calmly at a large sailboat on the sea with a three-headed red dragon flag on a black background.

"Your Majesty, the supplies are ready and ready to set sail at any time." Leonor came from the dock and reported with a list.

Viserys nodded: "I understand."

In the clearing behind him, Allison led Aegon and Helena, holding the baby in his arms.

Rhaenyra and Rhaegar stopped in front of a fruit stall, choosing fresh fruits with a smile.

After nearly twenty days of recovery, Rhaegar's burns have basically recovered and will not affect his movements.

This made Viserys often sigh, Rhaegar must be blessed by the seven gods, and his self-healing power is far beyond ordinary people.

“Come all, the voyage is about to begin!”

Viserys called to his family.

Rhaegar pricked up his ears, heard the sound and rushed over, being the first to report.

Father said that the destination of this voyage is Dragonstone Island.

There are two young dragons waiting for him to tame them on Dragonstone Island.

Rhaegar's blood boiled at the thought of having his own dragon, and he looked forward to it day and night.

Viserys stroked his eldest son's hair and asked with a smile: "There are a lot of fruits prepared on the ship, which are much better than those sold at roadside stalls."

“I want to see the difference between the fruits in the Red Keep and the fruits outside.”

Rhaegar chuckled.

 “Then do you see it?”

“I can see that the fruits in Red Castle are more expensive. The fruits on the roadside are obviously of the same quality, but much cheaper.”

Viserys’ smile faltered, and he was choked and unable to speak.

Leonor took action at the right time: "The fruits in Red Castle are purchased from various places, which are different from local fruits."

“The taste is the same, but the price is different because the people who eat it are different.”

Rhaegar muttered softly.

 Leonor:…

 The prince is really smart.

It’s just that sometimes you are too smart.

During the conversation, Allison and Rhaenyra came hand in hand.

Ever since the two had a dispute that day, they had been indifferent to each other for a while.

It was not until Allison took the initiative to invite Rhaenyra to a tea party that the relationship eased.

If the stalemate continues, Viserys, the head of the family, will be unhappy.

There are steps, please go down.

 …

 At night.

Sailboats engraved with dragon-shaped patterns drift in the Blackwater Bay, moving with the sea breeze.

In the gorgeously decorated cabin, Viserys looked pale, holding a wooden barrel and choking on his throat.

Allison and Rhaegar were beside him, looking worried.

Funny to say, Viserys tamed the largest and most ferocious dragon in the history of Westeros, Balerion, the Black Death.

But I feel seasick.

Because of this, Viserys disliked sailing.

If it weren’t for the fact that he wanted to witness his son training a dragon, the other would be to ease the tension with the Velaryon family.

He will not go to sea easily.

He preferred kingswood hunts and tourneys.

“Father, the Grand Scholar sent a special medicine before he left. Taking one pill can relieve the pain.”

Rhaegar handed over a glass bottle, feeling a little sorry for his old father.

Viserys glanced at it, took the glass bottle, opened the cap, poured a pill and swallowed it.

“I’ve taken too many medicines, I hope this one will work.”

“Yes, I also have medicine to help you sleep. Do you want to take some?”

Rhaegar took out another glass bottle from his pocket.

He was bedridden during this period and had frequent contact with Grand Maester Melos.

Learning that he often had nightmares, he was given tranquilizers.

He privately checked the ingredients and found that they were non-toxic and harmless, so you can eat them with confidence.

Today’s fifth update, I hope you will support me a lot!

No matter how the plot goes, when I saw Aegon the Conqueror marrying Visenya and Rhaenys, the balance in my heart began to tilt.

The author is really hesitant about Rhaenyra because she is more resistant to siblings.

It’s much better for Helena’s brother and sister.

Right now, my Taoist heart is relatively firm, and I am immersed in writing and creating the future.

The journey to Dragonstone has begun.
