Gate To The Multiverse

On a battlefield, monsters vs humans.

Ezekiel woke up and looked at the place around, he found himself surrounded from corpses, whether monsters or humans. Walking up to one of the monsters, Mimics, he opened it with his b.a.r.e hands, and looked at its internal organs, unlike any Earth creature it was completely different, which he doesn't find very weird, as these monsters is not from the Phylogenetic Tree of Earth.

After taking various samples from them, he put them in his suitcase, and walked towards the dead humans, looking at their Exoskeleton suit, for combat purposes he took one of them and walked towards a fallen carrier, as he was going to study them and see what abilities have they put on them.

As he walked through the battlefield, he realized this war is something much more dangerous than those from the other Earths, as some of the soldier in here don't even know how they died, or when they died. His train thought continued thinking of the Alpha & Omega of this Universe, entities who are capable of sending information to the past, without any problem.

He himself doesn't quite understand how this is possible, maybe quantum mechanics, but not every Universe has the same laws which makes it harder for him to further increase and understand some parts of the Universe.

Sitting inside the carrier, he first analyzed the blood of the Mimics, and looked at the differences between them. Sometime later, he continued by slowly removing each part and analyzing its functions and the way they are made, what differences they have from the other Earths…

6 Minutes earlier.

William Cage looked at the others accompanied him in the carrier, and wasn't sure as to how to react, he remembers clearly what he experienced, and he knows what will happen, yet he feels as if dreaming. The people around him made the same actions, same jokes about him.

Master Sergeant Farell: "One minute, one minute to drop!".

William looked at all the people who died around him, and still seemed to be lost in doubt.

*Beep, beep, beep*

The carrier opened from below, while everyone was getting ready to jump, William looked at it with his wide eyes and remembered what happened before.

Farell: "Get ready! Thirty seconds to drop! On my mark, activate drop lines, remember…".

William: "The carrier is about to…".

Both hadn't finished and the ship exploded taking with it some of the soldier's lives.

Williams ears went numb and he couldn't hear a thing, he just kept looking as everyone jumped down and saved themselves. Taking everything he had in him, he once again jumped from the carrier.

"Ahhhhhh…"

The group which went with him, some died from colliding between each other, some died after landing, and some didn't manage to land.

William's string was removed itself from the ship, and he fell on the ground right into the water, splashing into his entire body.

Kimmel one his group mates screamed, "we made it, thank god we made it, woooo".

William: "Look behind you, BEHIND YOU".

Kimmel turned around and was greeted by the carrier, dying while knowing how he died.

William who was near was once again affected by the wave of sand, throwing him in the ground, getting up his thought train was stuck as he couldn't tell what to do next, while he walked he kept remembering from his previous memories and saw the carrier once again fall towards him, he ran and threw himself in the pit.

The carrier killed a lot of the soldier who couldn't out run it, William who was on the pit crawled out, and looked at Rita getting out of the carriage with her teammates. Taking a deep breath, he got up and ran towards her at full speed.

Rita who just killed a Mimic looked at William running towards her, without having time to react, both fell on the ground at the same time.

Rita looked at William who screamed, "I am hit, I am hit" as she got him out her back.

William: "How bad is it? Is there…is there a lot of blood?".

Rita: "You have a hole in your c.h.e.s.t" while she removed her battery.

William: "Really?" looking at Rita who suddenly took his battery.

Realizing what she was doing, as he saw her putting his battery on her Exoskeleton.

William: "Did you just take my battery?".

Rita ignored him and went forward.

William saw another Mimic just centimeters ahead of him coming towards him.

William: "Holy f#ck" and closed his eyes.

Just as he awaited death, he saw the Mimic stuck in air as if time had stopped.

Ezekiel looked at William Cage, and knew why he seemed to feel something strange. Reading his brain, it seems it is already the 2nd time he has appeared in this world. Thinking for some time, he put his entire research memory deep within the mind of William, and blocked it with his strongest mental powers available to his present powers, which should be enough.

William: "Hey save me, please".

Ezekiel nodded, and the Mimic went towards Williams, killing him. Just as William died, Ezekiel saw everything going black and he lost consciousness.
