Long Fan's body moved a bit and went silent.

Looking at that, the masked man relaxed and moved towards Long Fan's body. Three others also came out of the hiding from three other directions, also wearing mask, and one of the guy with the mask shouted "Zhao Feng, didn't we decide on killing him inside the mine. Why did you kill him here? What if someone comes around now?"

The masked man, Zhao Feng, replied calmly while slowly walking towards Long Fan "Why worry so much Mu Teng? We already chased all the pitiful humans away and do you think any of them dared to come back and act against us bloodline warriors?"

Before Mu Teng could respond, the third masked person, who was a girl from her voice and body structure spoke in an authoritative tone "Stop dilly dallying. Get rid of that trash's body and let's get back. And if you use your names openly when you are doing something like this, you will get it from me."

Even though Zhao Feng wanted to refute her words, he didn't dare to because he knows how powerful she is and increased his pace. He went next to Long Fan, crouched to check his belongings when a short sword effortlessly moved towards his throat.

He tried to activate his bloodline and move backwards, but the sword cut his throat and he fell backwards with blood flowing from his mouth and throat and died.

Long Fan got up like an agile cat and moved fast in the direction of his hideout, which is the only direction not covered by other three masked men.

All this happened in a flash and the by the time the other three came to themselves, Long Fan had already escaped quite a distance and Zhao Feng was already dead.

The remaining three masked men were furious seeing Zhao Feng's death and immediately chased after Long Fan with full blown killing intent.

They know if they let him escape, they will be in deep trouble since Long Fan has been awake all the time and acted like he died he must have heard the name of the two people. With the school's power, they will be able to track down and find all of them, and even if they couldn't they know the person who tasked them to kill Long Fan would kill them to make sure no one finds he is behind the attack. So they have to kill Long Fan whatever it takes.

Long Fan looked back at the three people chasing him relentlessly and increased his speed further.

Long Fan touched his c.h.e.s.t while running and grunted a little with pain. He could feel the dent in the armor he was wearing inside his clothes and thanked his parents for the gifts they sent before they went missing.

The armor he is wearing is the Power Engulf Armor, which his parents gifted him along with the Fast speed boots he is wearing right now. He always wears it when goes out of the city for work which helped him a great deal.

Power engulf armor can absorb the attack based on the power level of the person wearing it. It also has another function of using a source to absorb the power of an attack which was used earlier by Long Fan. He used a medium grade Fire insipid stone as the source which helped him alleviate most of the attack power and stopped the dagger from piercing his c.h.e.s.t.

This in turn helped him to attack one of the people among the masked men and escape immediately. Thankfully, no one other than him and the delivered person know about the gifts he received from his parents, or else the masked people would have made the plans to kill him properly based on the gifts he received from his parents.

Long Fan's face at this time while being chased was a mix of anxiety, sadness and confusion.

He knew someone wanted to kill him but he didn't know who is behind these people who attacked him. He already recognized the two people in the mask by their names, Zhao Feng and Mu Teng, are from another class in his school and act like delinquents in the school. He also has suffered from their bullying in the past.

But what broke his heart was that when the girl spoke, he recognized her voice, it was Gong Mingue's voice. He couldn't believe that she would also try to kill him, his only friend in school and he wondered who in the school can move her to kill him.

While he was thinking his pupil suddenly shrank and thought 'Wait, I can't decide it is Mingue just based on just the voice. It might be possible that the person used Mingue's voice since everyone knows she is my friend in the school. And from how she talked, she should be the leader of the four, so it is highly possible she is cautious and it might even be possible she is deceiving her own teammates by posing as Mingue.'

[Bang.. Bang.. Bang]

He straightened his thoughts while running when suddenly three bullets hit his back. He flew forward by the attack and fell down. Even though the attack power was absorbed by the armor, the impact still caused him internal injury.

He looked back and found the masked girl was holding a smoking gun and aiming at him.

He immediately rolled around and hid behind a tree and pressed the center of his armor at his c.h.e.s.t area, and a small space opened and sand like substance fell from it. He took three mid grade Fire insipid stones and put one in the open space in his armor.

He similarly did the same to Fast Speed boots, replacing the Fire insipid stones from low grade to mid grade and started moving again. Fast speed boots also increase the speed based on the power infused in it.

He didn't run straight like before, but moved through the trees so that the people chasing him don't get a clear shot at him.

Long Fan thought 'I can't keep up like this, and I can't get back to my secret hideout. I have to find out some other way to escape from them.'

While he was thinking of a way to escape, the three people who was chasing him is also conversing.

The masked girl who sounded like Gong Mingue spoke in a stern voice "We can't go on like this. He should be wearing some high level armor which can negate attacks, and if I'm not wrong he should also have a high level boots that can increase speed since there is no way he can move with such speed without activating a bloodline."

One of the two masked man said "He should be using external power to activate them. We will just have to chase him until it runs out and kill him."

But the masked girl shook her head and said "We can't take that chance. What if he has lots of resources? And don't forget his current job is collecting Fire Insipid stones and he can use them. Who knows how much he has? Most importantly, as time passes, there is a high chance we come across more adventurers and do you want to kill all of them to silence them?"

The two went silent and the masked man with the name Mu Teng asked "Then what do you suggest we do?"

She responded "Split up. He is going in a specific direction, and right now he is moving though trees and his moving speed become slower because he was afraid of our attacks. Both of you use this chance to move ahead and ambush him."

While she was suggesting that plan, they found Long Fan suddenly stopping and his face was filled with shock. They observed him closely and found him mumbling to himself and the increased their speed to attack him.

Suddenly, he started moving, but it was not the direction he was moving beforehand but in an entire different direction without moving through trees like before and used his full speed to move.

The three didn't understand why he changed direction and why he is moving through trees anymore to avoid their attacks, but they didn't think much and gave chase after him.

Soon they realized the direction he is moving is towards the direction where the group of Golden winged crows are, and realized he must be making a desperate life and death attempt to save himself by using the group of Golden winged crows.

They started hesitating whether they should chase him, when the masked woman said coldly "We have to kill him no matter what. If we go back without killing him, the only result for us is still death. So we chase him and try our best to kill him before he reaches the Golden winged crows."

They immediately took out their gun and attacked him.

Even though few attacks hit him, it only hit his armor parts which only helped him to move ahead faster in the end.

The three chasing him became anxious when they got closer and closer to the location of Golden winged crows. They even stopped using their guns since the sound might get the attention of those crows.

When Long Fan got few hundred meters closer to the golden winged crows, he stopped, crouched down and removed the Fire insipid stones from his shoes.

He then took out his gun, which he hasn't used until now, from his bag and shot all the bullets in the gun at the distant golden winged crows.

The face of the three chasing him changed completely and became pale when they saw the group of crows started rushing towards them. Long Fan turned around and looked at them with a vicious smile and waved at them happily.

While they are wondering what his action meant, he disappeared right in front of their eyes.
