There is a guiding principle called "Monster Rank".

This is a step-by-step indication of the strength and marvel of the monster, expressed in symbols corresponding to the adventurer's adventurer rank.

For example, the common goblin monster rank is the H rank.

This means that it is a monster of a two-tiered rank compared to the average of an F-rank adventurer who has just registered as an adventurer.

Generally, with each increase in rank, the strength of the monster doubles.

Double what we mean here is that two monsters of a certain rank are a threat to one another with a single monster of a single rank.

Based on the principle of force squares, we can also say that the actual strength is quadruple, but here, for convenience, we use the word double in the sense of strength for two bodies.

Now thinking about it, it follows that one common F-rank adventurer is four times stronger than an H-rank goblin.

In other words, one F-ranked adventurer and four goblins fight each other.

It would be a very sloppy way of saying things, but as a uniform indicator it can be considered this way.

However, no F-rank adventurer actually tries to fight four goblins alone because they are mutually reinforcing.

Because exchanging lives with each other means losing lives in quintiles.

If you are a legitimate adventurer, you take more than a constant power buffer - or "room" - to reduce the risk of losing your life.

It can be said that it is the system of Strength Values when receiving quests in the Adventurer's Guild that was defined with some addition to this margin.

A quest to exorcise goblins, for example.

Goblins are often made up of about ten ni herds, and with four F-rank adventurers and twenty goblins, it can be argued that the adventurer side has a bad minute in battle.

It's just that (d) you don't usually play total force in a single battle with ten goblins, and since it presupposes taking the tactic of destroying each one for every certain cohesion, even if there is a case by case, it is expected that you will be able to cope to some extent with the force of about four F-rank adventurers.

It is said that it is generally desirable to take a double to quadruple margin of war.

For a party of four F-rank adventurers, it would be appropriate to deal with about four to eight goblins at the same time.

Of course, if I could afford it, I'd never go beyond it, but if I had all that strength, the idea would be that I'd better get a one-ranked, better-paid quest already.

However, in my personal opinion, it is negative for the level of double.

The author of a book I like, and according to earlier descriptions who survived roughly thirty years as an adventurer until retiring at forty-six, it's twice the level that people who lose their lives in a little mistake, bad luck, or accident frequently show up.

By the way, the books he wrote about his adventures don't seem to have a very good reputation.

He says the public wants something called a vastly foot-colored bloody and fleshy adventure story, and no statement about adventurer life in a careful and solid style like his is required.

I find it fascinating that I have no illusion of reality, so I don't agree with this public opinion at all - well, aside from that.

This is off the record, but the contrast between the power of adventurers and monsters is usually something to think about with such a certain margin in mind.

Well, that's where we finally get down to business.

with respect to Goblin Road.

The Goblin Road Monster Rank is E-Rank.

This will be a level of strength where "normal F-rank adventurers" take two to finally challenge each other, and if you think about the margins of battle, it's the least they can take four to challenge.

However, if you think of "normal F-rank adventurers" as beginner-class magicians (mages) who have dropped college or adventurers of equivalent strength, at least I can say I'm not at that level.

And the other one - Satsuki.

If you believe Cyril's words, it will mean that she is also quite capable.

How strong is she?

"Satsuki, I want to hear one thing"

On my way to the last hall, I stop by Satsuki and whisper in his ear.

"Hey, what the hell, William? Because it's close."

"It's time for the enemy's base to be close. You can't talk too loud."

That's what I like about Satsuki, who blushes her cheeks.

"... well. So, what?"

"Can Satsuki fight one-on-one and beat Goblin Road?

For one thing, I'll ask you head-on.

Recognition of the person can be one important piece of information, even if it cannot be swallowed.

But Satsuki's response to that...

"Come on, I don't know. I've never tried it, and I don't know how a goblin road is different from a goblin in the first place."

I see.

If you don't know Goblin Road in the first place, it's not a judgment standard.

"Then let's change the question. Can Satsuki win by fighting eight goblins by herself?

This is a very cluttered idea.

How to think of the eight H-rank goblins and the whole E-rank goblin road as equivalent.

However, even though there are a lot of problems, it would be about a one-off guideline.

"Huh? Eight goblins? Me alone, at the top?

"Oh."

"Well..."

Satsuki puts his hand on his chin and gazes diagonally up, as he imagines something.

And

"─ It's easy to win. Not even a fart."

"... ho"

Satsuki affirmed.

It doesn't even look like a wind of strength.

A completely natural, confident response.

─ ─ Interesting.

Then reschedule.

Knowing exactly how powerful she is can be an important and valuable piece of information as she parties and adventures with them in the future.

That would take some risk, but it would be information worth gaining.

"Satsuki, you said you wanted a chance to return the stigma."

"Oh. I think I said something like that."

"Then let me see it in the next fight. Only the Goblin Road is' left behind '. Show me how good Satsuki is."

When I said that, Satsuki stopped and looked at me with a flashing face.

"... you know, William"

"Hmm, what?

"Hey, you-- you were gonna put all the fighting with the boss to sleep and end it?

Satsuki said she was frightened.

So, oh, I see, I realize it's coming from there.

"Well, other than that, I wasn't going to have a lot of insurance. You're probably right."

"Ha ha... Oh, yeah..."

In response, Satsuki gave me a bumpy look.
