“Asiridus, there’s a sudden situation in area 20.”, a burly man entered the quiet bar and said to the man sitting in a table alone. The man called Asiridus was wearing a long black cloak and a black suit under the cloak. His face was covered in the hood and the shadow. In the bar with dim light, his figure was almost fusing with the darkness. Moreover, he was the only customer in the lonely bar. And he was reading a book. A special book with pale glowing tiny golden words. As for the content, it was unknown.

Asiridus peacefully closed the book and asked calmly, “What’s the matter, Asirus?”

Asirus handed a silver coin to the bartender and ordered, “Regular Elven bamboo.”

He sat on the seat in front of the bar counter and said angrily, “Why don’t you just check it on the forum? Forget it. A tier three powerhouse of death path has appeared in a small town which locates in the vicinity of area 20. Nearby people have already went to there. But I suspect that that unknown powerhouse might be a rootless demigod who came out after he sensed the great change.”

“Do you want me to go and check the things?”, Asiridus asked calmly.

“You have to go. Go there and eliminate that trouble directly if that thing is really a demigod. We don’t have enough people to sacrifice in fighting against him.”

Asiridus stood up silently. The book in his right hand disappeared at somehow and it was replaced by a two meters long death scythe. The entire scythe is made of unknown metal and the blade seems really sharp. On it, various unknown runes were carved.

When Asiridus walked towards the door, a black raven flew over from somewhere and landed firmly on his shoulder. It pecked and combed its feathers gracefully without a sound. A small crystal appeared in Asiridus’s left hand and he fed it to the raven. The latter swallowed it and lightly pecked his ear affectionately.

“Good luck, brother.”, said Asirus.

Asiridus just paused slightly and walked out of the door.

The burly man patted the wooden counter and muttered, “I have to teach him how to respect the elder brother.”

The bartender put the wooden mug and a wooden bowl full of fried peanuts in front of Asirus speechlessly. He continued to wipe the glasses with a clean napkin and said, “Is the situation so serious?”

Asirus drunk a mouthful and took a few peanuts. He said bitterly, “It’s a mess. Small and big daemons were bred during these days and those evil rootless guys are also emerging one after one. The point is Gods are too lazy to take care of these guys directly. As for us, we are short staffed. Everyone has been running around here and there to take care of the followup mess. The bartender was surprised. He paused for a few seconds before asking his doubt.

The bar fell in silent. The two men didn’t speak again.

The bartender smiled wryly and said, “How could it be so easy to be able to find a blessed place?”

The bar fell into silent again. The bartender who was also the owner of the bar chuckled lightly and stopped wiping the glasses. He sat on the seat and fell into thoughts.

At the other side, Peter and his team was advancing to the central area of El Barrendo town steadily. Even though their speed could not be said fast, they were not slower than the speed of marching corpses outside of the town.

The strange corpses on the street were quickly wiped out by a team of seven people. At this time, Peter was holding a big knight sword and his gun was given to Ronald who only had a sniper rifle in his hands. After all, in the urban fighting, sniper rifle was almost useless. It was especially in face of these strange corpses. Killing them with 20mm special bullet was simply wasting the bullets.

At first, Peter just wanted to give a try when he remembered the special sword given to him by Nsak as a gift. Then, he found out that the sword could actually kill the strange corpses. It has the exact same effect as purification holy bullets. After being slashed or stabbed with it, the corpse would turn into black ash.

So, Peter became a melee knight in the team with guns. Ben also did a test with the short sword. But it didn’t work. Anyways, they were just fine with the guns.

The survivors team also expanded a lot. The convey welcomed two new vehicles and eleven people, three men, five women and three boys. But it also made Peter’s team to slow down a lot in order to protect them well.

Now, Peter walked forwards just in front of the heading off-road vehicle. Ben and Glenn were at each side of the off-road vehicle just two steps away from Peter in the middle. This three men row became the strongest shield against the incoming strange corpses.

Allen and Ronald were six or seven steps behind the front row and they were also guarding the slow moving vehicles in the middle from each side. And finally, Dale and Mark guarded the last vehicle in the same positions like Allen and Ronald, walking along with the team on each side of the vehicle.

Fortunately, there was no appearance of corpses tide. As for the corpses coming towards them with their slow normal pace, Peter, Ben and Glenn easily took care of them. Occasionally, Allen and Ronald would eliminate the several corpses came out from the nearby buildings.

However, they met the first corpses tide composed of nearly a thousand corpses when they reached the place where the accident occurred. As the corpses sensed the vitality, they started to come toward the team while cleverly avoiding the crashed cars in the middle of the street.

Due to their defect, they didn’t even threaten Peter’s squad. Peter didn’t even need to attack the corpses. Most of them were directly solved easily by Ben and Glenn. 12.7mm armor piercing rounds showed their full power in the crowd. The bullets easily penetrated the front targets and continued penetrating the second, third and fourth targets on the way. Couple with the amazing marksmanship of Ben and Glenn, the crowd of nearly a thousand corpses was solved in a few minutes.

Peter took back the great sword into the storage ring and slightly moved his arms and legs. He found no good way other than simply violently making a way out of the crashed cars.

It has to be said that these strange corpses are very environmental friendly. When they were eliminated, they became black ashes and didn’t become obstacles nor bio waste as obstacles on the road.

Peter violently kicked away the vehicles on the street to the roadside. Although the method seemed dumb, but it was really effective. At least, it was a very effective and good method for guys like Peter.

As the path ahead was opened, the team was able to continue the journey again. They didn’t meet another crowd of densely packed corpses on the way again. As for how many people were still alive in the nearby buildings and in the town, they couldn’t care too much.

Soon, they reached the bell tower in the middle of the town. It is also the intersection where the four straight roads met. The old bell tower was built with hard granite stones and it is around twenty meters high.

Various voices appeared in the team as the armored men stopped at the bell tower. It also directly forced the survivors team to split into two. Only three vehicles parked around the bell tower and the rest simply left the team. They felt that they would be able to flee from this place so they quickly chose their roads and left in a fast speed. Regarding the unknown fate of these people, Peter didn’t care much.
