Chapter 19 - Javyar's Cantina

"We are called Spartans; you could consider us mercenaries. My name is Carter, that's Kat, Jorge, Emile, and Six." said Carter as he pointed to each member of the team.

"Nice! Are you guys stuck here from the embargo?" asked Mission.

"Yeah, we just happened to stop by for supplies when the Sith arrived," lied Carter. "Do you know where a cantina might be at?"

"Just up the way a bit, then take a left. You can't miss it, lots of trouble makers around the entrance. Me and Big Z don't get the chance to talk to nice tercentenaries like this so stay safe. I'm well-known around here so if you need anything else ask someone, not a Vulker though they tend to dislike me. Anyhow! We're gonna check out the crazy pod thing, right Big Z?" said Mission as she tilted her head towards Zaalbar.

"RRRGGGHHH" responded Zaalbar.

As soon as Zaalbar seemed to have agreed Mission began to take off. As she was running off, Jorge yelled "Thanks!"

"So those pods, should we split up to investigate them?" asked Emile.

Carter looked at every member of the team and paused. Carter then answered "No, we should stick together this time. The pods are a secondary object and if we get the chance we'll go after it. Also I don't want anyone engaging in a fight while we are in this cantina. We want to have an intimidating image but we don't want anymore attention drawn to us. "

"Roger that," confirmed Noble Team.

Noble Team approached the cantina and saw exactly what Mission had mentioned. Several troublemaker and lowlifes watching others enter and leave the cantina. The Spartans walked forward and the crowd seemed to part for them with silence descending on the crowd. The lowlifes and troublemakers had no d.e.s.i.r.e to mess with this crew that seemed to tower above everyone. Whispers could be heard throughout the crowd as everyone wondered who they were.

Going through the entrance of the cantina the Spartans were greeted with a sight of smoke floating towards the ceiling and neon lights littering the area. The bar was in the middle of this room. Carter walked towards the bar while the other members of Noble team held back and started busying themselves with examining the environment.

"What should I be expecting when a group of heavily armed mercenaries walk into the bar without their weapons holstered?" asked the Bartender who directed his attention towards Carter as he came forth.

"Nothing, Spartans holster your weapons," commanded Carter.

"Yes sir," responded Noble team as you could hear the clicks of their weapons being put away.

"So why are you here? You make any mistake and Javyar will have bounty hunters all over you." stated the Bartender.

"I need information, nothing huge but just a location of someone. Canderous Ordo." stated Carter.

"Information on Davik's men cost. 100 credits or no deal. I'm not risking myself for anything less." whispered the Bartender.

"Fine, Kat." responded Carter. Kat walked forward and reached into her bag and pulled out 100 credits. They were lucky that the dead Sith had these credits on them.

"Canderous is here, he's in the back of the bar. Don't go too quickly because he's in a meeting with Calo Nord who is the other enforcer for Davik and he would kill me if I let anyone interrupt them." whispered the Bartender.

"Alright, since we have to wait Is there any work we could get here?" asked Carter.

"Yeah, Javyar has all sorts of bounties that you could grab. Follow the right side and you'll find him. He's a huge Hutt so keep that in mind." answered the Bartender.

Carter moved towards the team and Jorge voiced his thoughts.

"Carter, the bounties we might find here won't be like the ones the UNSC issue. They'll probably be innocent people. We don't target people like that," stated Jorge.

"Don't worry, we won't take any bounties. To these people we are mercenaries, looking for bounties is a good cover for mercenaries. I don't want to look too out of place. So while we wait let's look at the bounties," stated Carter.

"This could also give us some information about the groups that are hostile, more bounties will mean that they are a potential threat to us," added Kat.

Noble Team then followed Carter to the right side and entered a wide room that had an awful stench. The stench seemed to emit from the huge slug-like alien in the middle of the room. Assuming this was the "huge Hutt" that the bartender mentioned, Carter walked towards him.

The Hutt lips smacked together to make a vile crunching sound. It was like the slug was chewing a dried worm. "Who are you?" asked Javyar as he finished his last bite though it was translated by a nearby protocol droid.

"We're Spartans, mercenaries if you will. I heard this is where we could find work," stated Carter.

"Ah, of course. The terminal's are over there along the wall. Every bounty I have is on them. Do well, and you'll earn lots of credits." stated Javyar.

"Thank you," Carter stated and then went off to the side with his team to check the terminals. They found various bounties but what they noticed was that Davik seemed to offer bounties left and right, the Black Vulkers had quite a few bounties, and finally the Sith had a bounty. A bounty for anything that is in the pods. This caused the team to re-evaluate their priorities.

"Alright, so it seems that we are going to have to split. Emile, Six, and Kat go after those pods we saw earlier; Jorge and I will wait to talk with Canderous. Use caution, whatever the Sith want from those pods could be dangerous." commanded Carter.

"Understood!" answered Noble Team.

Carter and Jorge drifted towards the back where the bartender stated that Canderous would be at. Once they arrived at the door they took a seat at a table to watch for Canderous.

The door to the back room of the bar soon opened up and Canderous walked out with his mercenaries. However, a man walked out before him. He had a blue coat with a white hat of sorts. Canderous and a few mercenaries locked eyes with Carter, knowing that he would have to talk to them, Canderous motioned his men to wait.

From that action Carter picked up that Canderous didn't want this blue coat individual to find out about them. After the man had left Canderous approached them.

"What in the world made you think meeting me here was a good idea?" asked Canderous.
