"Woah, that "Power Shot" skill is killer," said Emile while flipping the blood off of his knives.

"It's pretty useful. I got a level up from that fight. Let me allocate my attributes and then we'll go over to the scarab." spoke Six.

"Alright, I'll watch out for covenant while you do that,"

'System do you have any recommendations now that I have some new attributes points?'

[Recommendation: Since you have fortified your defense and strength with "Toughness" I recommend increasing your wisdom and dexterity. If you stick 2 more into dexterity you'll unlock "Flexible Body" a passive skill that unlocks your instincts relating to movement. You want to be able to bend mid-air and dodge bullets? You want to free-run and perform jumps and tricks that could save your life? Then get "Flexible Body". "Toughness" was essential for your defense. The suit can't save you from everything.]

'Alright, I'll put 2 attribute points into Dexterity. What will wisdom do?'

[Explanation: Wisdom will increase the system sensing range and you'll be on track to acquire the "Spiritual Energy" skill with 20 wisdom. The "Spiritual Energy" skill will unlock a whole new selection of abilities.]

'What kind of abilities?'

'No worries, stick the rest into wisdom then."

"Emile, let's head to the scarab though put your guard up. Those elites weren't patrolling for no reason." cautioned Six.

Emile and Six stealthily crouch walked through the rest of the canyon while approaching the wrecked scarab. Putting their guard back up was the right idea. From the cliff they were on they could see that there were two jackals and five grunts picking apart the workable parts of a scarab. Six signals Emile to take out these guys out as quickly and quietly as possible. Who knows what else is around.

Emile picked 3 Grunts closet to the scarab and the jackal that was behind the three grunts monitoring them. Six choose the two grunts that were walking parts back to a pile that the other jackal was guarding.

Six choose to initiate the attack by jumping off the cliff onto the jackal. He then used "Toughness" to charge a punch a tiny bit. Not enough to shatter a rock but enough to shatter the jackal's head from the back. Six then turned to the Grunts ready to fight.

Emile jumped right into the middle of his enemies. Activating "Flurry" he choose to stab rather than slice like last time. Stabbing each grunt through the eye socket and then turning to fight the jackal.

The first grunt threw the parts he had in his hands and then whipped out his plasma pistol ready to shoot Six. The second Grunt followed along with throwing his parts but instead pulled a plasma grenade. This surprised Six because Grunts don't typically react that fast, however, Six still deflected the parts onto the ground to see that the first Grunt was releasing a fully charged plasma shot. As soon as the first grunt's shot hit Six the second threw his plasma grenade to stick on him. A great strategy, take out the shields and then blow him up. Unfortunately these grunts were facing not only a Spartan but a Spartan with "Toughness". Charging through the explosion Six emerged from the smoke with a charged uppercut sending the first grunt flying. Then turning to the next grunt crushing him with an overhead kick.

Emile still having "Flurry" activated, plunged at the remaining jackal while trying to stab him. But at the last possible second the jackal could manage he activated his shield blocking Emile's stab but at the cost of being pushed back a bit. The jackal then tried to go on the offense by picking up a pipe-like part of the ground and started swinging at Emile. It might have worked on anything except a Spartan. When Emile saw this a grin grew inside his visor. It was time to play with his prey. Whenever the jackal would swing his weapon Emile would clip just a small part off of it. Slowly the jackal's weapon started degrading to nothing. Panicking the jackal with no weapon dropped his shield and ran. A crack went through the air and the jackal dropped dead with a knife embedded in his skull.

[Notification: Emile has created the skill "Weapon Throwing". As part of his party the host can learn it as well. Would you like to?]

'Yes, what about the "Bloodl.u.s.t" skill he used earlier?'

[Replying: Bloodl.u.s.t was not created by Emile thus he cannot extend the skill to you. Note: "Bloodl.u.s.t" does not take one of his slots. One of the few exceptions to that rule.]

'Uh, okay.'

"Let's find Carter and get out of here. He'll need a run-down of what's been going on when he gets revived," said Emile as he yanked his knife out of the skull of the jackal.

"Yeah, plus the covenant is bound to notice someone isn't reporting in," responded Six.

Both Emile and Six roamed around the scarab in hopes of finding Carter's body. Six who was searching near on of the scarab's legs finds a spartan knee-guard. Following the ripped paint pieces from the knee-guard brings him to Carter's body. He survived the impact of the scarab but crawled away to rest against a canyon wall and passed away. His right side was all charred up.

"Emile! over here!" shouted Six who was crouching in-front of Carter's body.

Sprinting over to see Carter's body Emile spoke "At least he wasn't crushed by the impact. I wasn't sure if we were going to find him in-tact like this. He could have been in pieces," pausing for a breath and then continuing "Bring him back Six,".

'System activate "Party Revive" on Carter's body.'

[Activating "Party Revive"...]

Just like Emile's revival, Carter's body began to float and wisps of energy began to wrap his body in a cocoon like shape. Emile and Six could almost feel Carter reviving. Finally the wisps began to disperse and dropped Carter into Emile's arms. He was no longer charred and his entire suit was repaired just like Emile's revival.

"Get that bright light out of my face." g.r.o.a.n.e.d Carter.

"Sorry Carter, that's the sun can't really get rid of it.," said Six who then paused for a second of thought and then continued "Well, maybe I could eventually but let's not get ahead of ourselves."

Chuckling, Emile then said "Welcome back Carter, we missed our commander."
