Chapter 29 - Yun Jin (Golden Crow) and Yun Huang (Phoenix)

"Mortal, how have you arrived here"

"kukuku, Jin'er, although I appreciate your loud voice, it is only good for me to hear whilst engaging in the bedroom, please quieten down as your husband I, am going to go deaf"

"Hmph, mortal you surely are not afraid of death, this Noble one would never be conquered, even less by an ugly man" The Golden Crow said as her voice seething with disdain and rage.

"Hey! How… How dare you call your handsome husband I, ugly! Compared to me Jin'er you are ugly! All those crazy sun birds are ugly! Your ancestors are ugly!" shouted a visibly hurt Yun Long.

As he saw the scarlet golden eyes of the Golden Crow flicker, he quickly changed the discussion "Huang'er, quickly gain control of this crazy woman, enlighten her on how lucky she is to be chosen by this Young Master".

The Phoenix who had been watching this fiasco the whole time just simply said "Jin'er…Huang'er… what are these names you are addressing us by?"

"Mn, how else should your husband I call you?" said a cheeky Yun Long.

However, he didn't allow them to continue before he said, "If you truly want to understand the situation, read my memories".

Which caused some feelings of disbelief from the Golden Crow and Phoenix, although they were True Gods, they still had a great understanding of mortals… for one to so readily allow them to read the memories was quite unexpected.

"Hmph, this noble one was initially planning to read your memories already, this noble one doesn't require a mortal's permission to do what she wants" with arrogance and no care for Yun Long, the golden crow's voice boomed once more.

As she spoke the Divine Consciousness of the Phoenix had already entered and after a few minutes she returned, which just left the Golden Crow to enter his consciousness.

It was unknown if they did it on purpose or out of spite for teasing them so much, but they both entered right after which caused too much strain on his consciousness, Yun Long was unconscious and would stay that way for a few minutes.

The Phoenix started talking "Old friend, you have seen his memories, what do you think of it".

"Hmph, it seems that this mortal indeed has the rights to come before this mortal one, to think he was such an excellent successor for the Golden Crow Legacy but he wasn't able to receive it" the Golden Crow snorted.

The Phoenix who was thinking about that fate regarding this mortal was stunned, did this crazy bird only care about the successor of the Golden flames?

"Old friend, look at the journey he went through, although I do not understand the reason for him coming here, it would be best for him to explain it to us", as she spoke, she allowed Yun Long to return to consciousness.

"Mortal, what exactly is your goal in showing this noble one the memory of your past life in such a way?"

"My goal in coming here is to alter the timeline subtly, and with the new powers I have in this life I wish to repay the favour you had granted me in my previous life" said Yun Long with a slight smile.

"Repay the favours? Mortal even though we spirit fragments didn't personally assist you, especially this noble one, you wish to return a favour we have yet to grant? You must remember that you have returned in time and sharing your information with us is extremely idiotic" said the Golden Crow with no regard for Yun Long's feelings.

The Phoenix continued "Although my old friend had said it in such a tasteless way, the crux of her concern is viable, Yun Long, as the successor of the Evil God, you should've come when you possessed the Fire Spirit Evil Body, I see no advantage for the current you to come, especially at your current child self".

However, Yun Long just smiled faintly "There is a reason to why I came here, you must have also seen the memories regarding Bing'er, am I correct?..." Yun Long paused before continuing.

"As I had gained such favour in the past from the Golden Crow and the Phoenix, I will be restoring you to your prime condition, even if you are just a spirit fragment, I will be able to return you to a stable existence, but not to the original True God level you are currently at".

"Hmph, this noble one would rather cease to exist then maintain a pathetic existence, you needn't worry to return gratitude, in this current timeline you exist in, we have yet to assist you in any way" said an irritated Golden Crow

After all, as a Divine Beast that reigned supreme, how could she allow herself to cling onto a mortal and live a pitiful existence, she couldn't understand how the Ice Phoenix lowered her dignity to perform such acts.

"It is indeed as she said, also we were created by the original to pass on power, not to find a way back to existence, the world has long passed from the Age of Gods, Yun Long" said the tranquil Phoenix.

"Hmm, while you both have sound arguments, when did your husband I ask for permission, I just stated that I would return you to your original power…" Yun Long snapped back lightly.

"However, that is not of my concern at this moment, the reason I came here is regarding the complete inheritor of the Golden Crow and Phoenix…" Yun Long said quite seriously.

The Spirit Fragment of the Phoenix and Golden Crow got serious when he mentioned this "Jin'er, you saw from my memories the complete inheritor you chose, although his potential is great but no matter how well I treated him or how much of a friend I treated him, he betrayed me over his possessive love, he was willing to sell me to the enemy even after all the help I gave him, and I do believe that I treated him in such a way knowing that he was the inheritor you chose… I still wouldn't do any harm to him just out of the respect I have for you…" he paused since the Golden Crow was really an unselfish Divine Beast

"But in this life, I cannot look at him how I did before, if you wish to still make him your inheritor, I will accept your decision, however if not I wish to become the complete inheritor when I come back here in around 15 years, Huang'er… I had already become the complete inheritor twice… will you still make the same choice?"

"Hmm, this noble one agrees that whilst this Huo Poyun indeed is a favourable choice as my successor, it is as the Golden Crow Soul fragment on the Blue Polar Star stated, if I had known of that there was a possessor of the Fire Evil Spirit Body I would've waited for you to arrive to pass my inheritance onto, so do not disappoint this noble one by making her wait too long" said the Golden Crow in a surprisingly moderate tone.

"Since the future showed that you are a worthy successor, I shall make the same decision as the alternate lifetime, Yun Long" the phoenix stated in a tranquil tone.

"Aww, look how cute you two are, as expected of my Wifey's… always willing to assist your useless husband…" with a cheeky grin Yun Long had already stolen the flames of the God Burying Inferno Prison and duplicated the flame vein as he then teleported out the God Burying Inferno Prison so that he didn't face the wrath of his favourite Jin'er.

"Tsk, why does this noble one have to face such nonsense, to think I would allow a mortal to house the Golden Crow flames with such pitiful Phoenix flames" said an annoyed Golden Crow, not caring that the very person she was talking about was right next to her, although said Divine Beast was used to this old flame brain so she just snorted it off.
