Chapter 62 - Promise (Rebirth)

Looking at the pitiful countenance of Yun Long, the others were slightly awkward, to think he would take it so hard.

Hua Mei looking at her baby decided to cheer him up "Long'er, you do not need to be so embarrassed from being seen n.a.k.e.d, after all the only people here are your two mothers, two future wives and sister… not to mention that your package is more than capable even at this age my dear"

she said trying to lift his spirits, although that last sentence had completely ruined her chance of cheering him up.

Yun Long who was listening to his adopted mother Hua Mei being serious for once with some great advice started to lighten up, until he heard the final jab that she added in before he started kneeling.

"Ugh… I do not want to hear my mother talk about such things… Aaah!!! I can never get married anymore… Xi'er come console your husband!" Yun Long who called out Xi'er didn't realise two people had that calling so his plan to use the situation to get Shen Xi to open up to him failed.

This was due to a certain bubbly young girl running over before hugging the kneeling Yun Long and shouted very spiritedly "Big Brother Long, like you told me a long time ago, even if the heavens abandon you, you would never abandon me! Xi'er also will never abandon Big Brother Long, even if no one wants to marry you, Xi'er will marry you Big Brother Long!" at the end she started smiling showing her pearly whites as she rubbed her face on Yun Long's cheek.

Yun Long who was surprised at her outburst just smiled, as he stroked her hair and said "Wow… to think my cute and pure Lingxi has learnt the art of seducing… hmm… such a naughty girl. Xi'er, who taught you such things, hmm?" asked Yun Long with a cheeky smile

Xiao Lingxi started panicking 'Does Big Brother Long think I am a naughty girl no… uwaaa what do I do'.

Looking at her panicking face was just too much for Yun Long as he started pinching her bubbly cheeks.

"Big Brother Long, Xi'er is a good girl, it was mother who told me what a wife is!" shouted Lingxi, betraying her blood mother in favour of her older brother.

Yun Long who heard her got serious… 'To think the perverted tigress is even handing down her legacy to her daughter… I need to protect Lingxi's purity at all costs!' as he thought of this, he hugged Xiao Lingxi as if he was a hen protecting his chicks (Lingxi) even at the cost of his own body.

"Mother, you cannot corrupt Lingxi! If you dare do any more, I will never talk to you again in my whole life!" shouted Yun Long… hoping that this secretly stops her more crazy antics.

Hua Mei who heard his statement was panicking, she too knew that it was a little out of bounds to teach Lingxi of such things so early, however she didn't do it with bad intent.

"No Long'er… mommy didn't corrupt her… she heard the term wife and I just explained it to her, that is all, mommy promises" at the end she activated crocodile tears to quickly escape.

Yun Long who saw her did notice she was telling the truth, yet he kept Lingxi in his embrace and was still on alert 'never could be sure with this perverted tigress'.

Lingxi however who heard such things started crying, surprising Yun Long as he quickly started consoling her, wiping the tears of her pristine cheeks he asked "Lingxi, what is it, what made you cry? Was it mommy? Don't worry if its mommy, Big Brother will protect you okay?" asked a confused Yun Long

Xiao Lingxi just replied whilst sniffling "*sniff* Big Brother Long *sniff* don't fight with mommy *sniff* it is Xi'er's fault since I wanted to be Big Brother Long's wife *sniff* but if Big Brother Long doesn't want to *sniff* then don't fight with mommy"

Yun Long who looked at her who still wanted to fix the 'situation' even at the cost of her happiness just felt sad… he really needed to fix this about this little girl "Who said Big Brother won't marry you! If you wish to still marry me when you are 16 years old then Big Brother Long will marry you!" shouted Yun Long with determination

This had stunned the others, and yet all they could focus on was the bouncy Lingxi who started smiling through her tears "Really Big Brother Long! You don't hate Xi'er?!" she started shaking Yun Long

Yun Long who saw her smiling face just nodded before muttering 'Gate of Babylon', taking out an extremely beautiful black ring, which was embedded with bright white diamond stones and the centrepiece of the ring had a bright blue stone that was similar to his eyes, a galaxy within them.

"Here, this ring represents that promise" as Yun Long finished, he raised her right hand and place it on her ring finger, before rubbing her head.

He then looked up to see a furious Qingyue and knew what she wanted, he called her down by waving his hand towards himself, which she followed but still pouted, as he similarly raised her hand before a golden ripple appeared which produced an icy blue ring with golden embedded stones with the central piece a pure diamond which resembled her Heart of Snow Glazed Glass and put it on her ring finger.

"Don't pout to much Yue'er, otherwise you may turn into a little piggy you know" as Yun Long teased, before he pinched her nose with a gentle smile on his face.

He then looked towards Shen Xi before saying "Xi'er, sorry for troubling you these last 2 years, do you want a ring as well?" Yun Long questioned since he still planned to make her his wifey.

Shen Xi just shook her head, she wasn't once to care much for ornaments or physical proof, only a true attachment mattered to her.
