Once his orders were given, Poseidon turned to looked at the ship that had stayed next to them during the entire fight. He looked at the people on board, as well as those hidden inside the boat, but was disappointed.

Everyone of them were too scared and were either crying, shaking in fear or praying his name to stop the storm. But as his gaze rose, Poseidon was surprised by the boy who had stayed on top of the mast.

Unlike the rest of the mortals, he wasn't afraid, he was excited. Poseidon tried to enter his mind and look at what made him so excited, but he was shocked when he was refused the access.

The boy's mind was actually so strong! As a god, Poseidon never practiced any mind arts like wizards do, but once a being reaches a certain level they can see through someone and guess their intentions and emotions.

This was a different kind of mind reading, which didn't even really involve mind arts for the attacking side. But because Arthur has a powerful mind and has cultivated mind arts to a high level, slightly above Dumbledore himself, he could resist the God's prying eyes.

Arthur was actually glad Poseidon had done that. When the fight between the God and the Kraken had ended Arthur didn't take any risk and looked away, pretending he couldn't see or hear what was happening.

But now, Poseidon had tried to enter his mind. Arthur turned to the side and looked in Poseidon's direction with narrowed eyes. He even spread out his mind, a technique that allows the user to detect beings with intellect. There was a spell that could do the same by the way, though Arthur didn't learn it as he already had the mind arts.

As Arthur spread out his mind, the moment it came in contact with Poseidon, Arthur was suddenly hit by a huge headache. But it only made Arthur frown. It couldn't compare to the headaches he suffered for years.

Arthur took out his wand and pointed it forward. A ball of light began forming itself and in half a second a ball of light with a diameter of two meters had been created.

Arthur flicked his wand and the ball was launched forward. With another flick, 6 others identical balls of light appeared around the already existing ball.

The balls of lights were so intense that normal people would be able to see a hundred meters forward despite the storm.

The 7 balls formed a formation. Five were making the base, one was above, the last one below the five. The lights rapidly approached Poseidon. The latter looked curiously as the young wizard launched a pretty powerful spell toward him.

He didn't know much about modern wizards as they weren't worth his attention, but he could feel the power held within the lights. Individually they were already above medium level one, but the power emanating from the formation was nearing the peak of first level.

But he was shocked when the ball approached him. The Mist he was so used to, it began melting under the light balls as if they were made of acid. This was bad.

Poseidon clearly saw the look of shock on the young wizard's face. He had broken through the Mist, but most importantly, he had seen him!

Poseidon waved his Trident, and the balls of light suddenly disappeared. Poseidon looked through the minds of everyone else, but fortunately only the boy had seen him.

Poseidon hesitated what to do, but eventually decided to let him go. Some part of him was scared that the boy would rise and become like one of his wizards ancestors and wage war against the gods again, but this wasn't a good enough reason to kill the boy.

After all, he may have had the power to break through the Mist, without any wizard telling him how to break through the second level, then he would never be a threat. And even if he came to become a second level being, becoming a third level would be even harder.

Poseidon waved his hand, and a wave suddenly pushed the ship away. Arthur smiled looking in Poseidon direction. He had seen for the first time how powerful his future enemies would be.

But it wasn't the best. His light wielding had actually improved, and by a lot. Looking straight at a god Divine form can be considered as a natural disaster, or at least a natural use of light as Poseidon didn't hurt people on purpose, it was just that a Divine form is so pure that looking at it is enough to kill those not pure.

Arthur looked down at the Captain and the Navigator, but the two were still on the floor, praying for Poseidon. As Arthur looked downward, he suddenly felt a weight fall on his shoulder.

He looked in alarm, and couldn't believe what he saw. From what he heard Poseidon and the Kraken had been fighting for the Kraken's child. And now, what was the thing Arthur had felt on his shoulder?

Yes, a lion cub! No, seriously, there was tiny octopus on Arthur's shoulder. Although it wasn't enough to prove it was the Kraken's child, it wasn't what had shocked Arthur the most.

When Arthur looked at the tiny octopus, he looked straight into its eyes and felt a strange feeling. A feeling of… familiarity.

Not in the sense they already knew each other, but more like a connection. Yes, as if they were connected. As if they were the same.

As Arthur was focusing on the strange feeling, he suddenly heard an imm.a.t.u.r.e voice in his head "Hello!"

Arthur froze, as he clearly felt it came from the mind of the octopus. Arthur frowned and asked with his mind "What are you doing?"

The octopus cutely tilted its head and asked "Mom told me to follow big bro. You don't want me?"

Arthur suddenly laughed out. If anyone saw him they would take him for a madman, laughing looking at an octopus.

After half a minute of laugh, he asked "So, you are a baby Kraken? How old are you? Do you have a name?"

It replied "Mom told me I was a Kraken I think… And I am a week old. And mom said my name is Paul." Arthur repeated "Paul?" Paul nodded "Yes, Paul."

Arthur broke out in another laughing fit. Paul hit him with his tentacle and said "You are like me. Can you do funny stuff with water too?"

Arthur stopped laughing and patted Paul's head "We are the same, but I can't do it with water. I will show you later. So, you want to become my partner?"

Paul asked "What is a partner?" Arthur thought a little before answering "We would become friends and help each other. I will help you with what you can't do, while you will help me with what I can't do. But first tell me, are you hurt?"

Paul shook his head and said "Yes partners we will be. And no, I'm not hurt." Arthur expected it.

The reason the assimilation of his elements was their power and the fact that his body wasn't magic yet. For Paul, he was a legendary magical beast born with and in magic, so he didn't have to suffer to get the powers. There are advantages and drawbacks. What Arthur found really surprising though was that Paul could talk to him.

Arthur asked "You don't need to go in water?" He heard a childish laughter "You silly, I am already in water."

Arthur didn't ask what he meant as he understood. Water is really everywhere in the air. Added to those are the water elements particles, so it was enough for Paul to live on.
