Harry Potter and the Old Ones

Chapter 109 The Roaring Letter

When Tierra returned to the Gryffindor common room, everyone in Gryffindor had dispersed.

Tierra tiptoed back to her bedroom.

With nothing in his hand except a package of food——

After asking the house elf for food, Tierra asked the house elf to help bring the old suitcase Malfoy gave him back to the dormitory first, and now it is quietly placed next to the bed in Tierra's dormitory.

"Hey, Harry!" Tierra lifted the food box in her hand after seeing Harry and said, "I didn't see you in the banquet room just now, you must be hungry."

"Oh... Tierra... Well, actually, Ron and I have already eaten." Harry said a little embarrassed.

"That's great." Tierra put down the lunch box in her hand indifferently—

He didn't really want to get Harry food anyway, he just wanted an excuse to go to the basement.

Due to today's thrilling speed trip, Harry was very tired and had no interest in chatting with Tierrado. After saying good night, they went to bed.

The next day they started their classes—

It should have been something to look forward to, but Harry and Ron were on pins and needles over breakfast.

From brief eye contact, Tierra knew that Harry was worrying about his imminent detention, and Ron was worrying about his mother's reprimand.

Just as Harry took his first sip of porridge, he heard the commotion overhead.

Hundreds of owls flocked in and circled the auditorium, dropping letters and packages into the conversing crowd.

A big, bulging package fell on Neville's head, and then another big, gray thing fell into Hermione's jug.

Suddenly, milk and feathers splashed.

"They really need to improve the way the owl throws the courier." Tierra quickly picked up the textbook lying on the table——

But Tom Riddle's diary, which was placed under the textbook, was not so lucky, and was splashed with milky white liquid.

"Errol!" Ron was not in the mood to listen to Tierra's nagging at all, and pulled the wet owl out with his claws.

Errol was sprawled on the table with his legs out in the air and a soggy red envelope in his mouth.

"Oh no!" Ron exclaimed.

"It's okay, it's still alive," Hermione reassured, poking Errol lightly with her wand.

"No! It's that." Ron pointed to the red envelope.

"What's the matter?" Harry asked.

"She... Mom sent me a Howler letter." Ron said desperately.

"You'd better open it," Neville whispered. "It's worse if you don't. Grandma sent it to me once, and I ignored it, and—" He took a breath, as if recalling some unpleasant memory, " That's horrible."

"What's a Howler letter?" Harry asked.

But Ron's attention was all on the letter, and the four corners of the envelope had started to smoke.

"Open it up," Neville urged, "only a few minutes..."

With trembling hands, Ron carefully took the envelope from Errol's mouth and tore it open.

Neville plugged his fingers over his ears—

At first everyone thought it was an explosion. The loud noise filled the auditorium and knocked down the dust from the ceiling.

"Ron Weasley! You disgust me! Stealing the car, I wouldn't be surprised if they fired you, see what I do with you. You probably don't even think about it, I How did your father feel when he found out that the car was gone!"

It was Mrs. Weasley's shout, a hundred times longer than usual, making the plates and spoons on the table rattle, and the echoes from the four stone walls were deafening. Everyone in the auditorium turned to see who had received the Howler letter. Ron huddled in his chair and could only see a red forehead.

"I received Dumbledore's letter last night. Your father was almost mad at you! We worked so hard to bring you up, but we didn't expect you to do such a thing. You and Harry almost lost their lives!"

"...It's so annoying. Your father will be censored in the unit. It's all your fault. If you don't follow the rules, we will bring you back immediately!"

The roar had stopped, but the ringing was still ringing in my ears. The red envelope that had fallen from Ron's hand caught fire, curling and turning into ashes. Harry and Ron sat dumbfounded, as if they had just been washed by the tide. A few people laughed, and the voices gradually sounded again.

Hermione closed Voyages with Vampires and looked down at Ron's head.

"Well, didn't you expect it to be anything else, Ron, knowing you—"

"Don't tell me I deserve it," said Ron grimly.

"Don't worry about Ron." Tierra patted Ron's back and said, "Do you know what can make Mrs. Weasley feel better?"

"What?" Ron asked.

"This..." Tierra took out a paper full of words from the wizard robe, and quietly placed it in front of Ron——

"What's this?" Ron asked, then picked it up and looked at it—

"Notes!?" Ron exclaimed.

"Let me see!" Hermione snatched the paper from Ron's hand.

"Tiera!" the little witch Hermione suddenly yelled, making Tierra think that someone had opened another Howler letter, "Isn't this what I sent you?"

"Why did you show Ron?" Hermione asked aggressively.

"I think if Ron can get the first place in this year's final exam..." Tierra thought about it and changed his words, "if he can get the top ten... maybe Mrs. Weasley can forgive him."

"Great idea, Tierra!" Ron cheered, but suddenly, like a deflated ball, "I'll never be in the top ten of my class—"

"Believe in yourself, Ron," Tiera said.

"How about this, Hermione." Tierra said treacherously, "Why don't we compete."

"Competition?" Hermione asked suspiciously.

"I'll tutor him in black magic and potions, and you'll tutor him in charms and transfiguration. Let's see who can help Ron get into the top ten in his age—" Tierra said with a smile, "Who can How about letting Ron get the highest finish and whoever wins - the winner can ask anything that isn't too much from the loser?"

Through the previous eye contact, Tierra knew that Hermione was still a little bit jealous of him——

But that's right, the first (secret) love of a young girl in adolescence is not so easy to let go.

In order to prevent Hermione from pestering him endlessly this semester, and at the same time, in order to bind the attention of the deduction trio to study, Tierra had no choice but to use the children's competitive spirit to set up such a game.

As for what to do if Hermione wins—

Please, as for Ron's broken wand, his passing in Charms and Transfiguration this semester is all for the sake of teachers and students——

Still want to get top ten?

Thanks for the 100 coins rewarded by Korsey

I wish you all a happy new year~

In addition, the editor said that No. 1 can be put on the shelves
