Harry Potter: Glory of the King

Chapter 22: Diagon Alley

Everyone was surprised to see the brick that Hagrid had struck shaken and began to move. A small hole appeared in the middle. The opening of the hole became bigger and bigger. After a while, there was a wide arch in front of them that was big enough for Hagrid to pass through. The road leads to a winding cobblestone street with no end in sight.

"Welcome," Hagrid looked at everyone with incredible expressions with satisfaction, "Welcome everyone to Diagon Alley."

Seeing everyone in shock, Hagrid couldn't help grinning. He took the lead and walked towards the arch. Harry hurriedly followed, and Ona also led the two families forward. Harry glanced back curiously and saw that after everyone passed, the archway suddenly narrowed again, and then turned into the original solid wall.

"It's incredible!" Wang Jin and his wife and Grangers tried to touch them. If they hadn't just passed by, they would never have thought that this wall had hidden a passage.

"Haha, this needs to be opened by magic," Hagrid didn't worry, and explained, "After next year Ona and the others will be able to open it by themselves."

Ona looked at Diagon Alley carefully, and the dazzling sunlight cast on a stack of pots outside the nearest store. A sign hanging above the pot: "Copper-brass-tin-plated-silver cauldron, complete models, automatic stirring-foldable."

"Oh, freshmen need to buy one," Hagrid noticed everyone was looking at the sign. "But we have to change some money first."

Hearing this, Harry's face suddenly changed-he had been very happy since he knew he was a wizard that day until now, as if a balloon in his chest was gradually bulging, and it was completely inflated just now. It made him ecstatic, but when he mentioned money, he felt that the happy balloon in his chest was punctured.

"Money?" Harry murmured, "Um, Hagrid?"

"What?" Hagrid hurriedly asked seeing Harry suddenly depressed.

"I don’t have any money. I believe that Uncle Vernon will not spend money to let me learn magic. He doesn’t tell me anything about magic at all, and he doesn’t want me to receive the admission letter. If it weren’t for Ona’s help. , I may not be able to reply to Hogwarts until now." Harry took a peek at Ona's party who had come to the front, and whispered.

"Don't worry about this," Hagrid said, scratching his head. "Do you think your parents left you nothing?"

"But if even their houses are destroyed..." Harry said lowly.

"They don't keep gold at home, boy! Our first stop is Gringotts, Wizarding Bank." Hagrid said with a smile.

"The wizard still has a bank?" Harry was interested.

"There is only one, Gringotts. It was opened by the fairies."

"Goblin?" Not only Harry, but the Wang Jin family and Granger family who just pretended to be watching the cauldron were interested.

"Yes, so, listen to me, if someone wants to rob the bank, they must be crazy. You must not annoy the fairies. If you want to find a safe and secure place to store things, then, I think except for Hogwar. There is Gringotts outside of Zells. In fact, I will go to Gringotts anyway to do a Hogwarts business for Dumbledore." Hagrid raised his chest triumphantly. "He always wants me to do important things, such as picking up Harry, picking up things from Gringotts, and he wants me to go. He knows he can trust me, understand?"

"Then we are going to Gringotts to exchange currency?" Ona asked.

"Yes." Hagrid nodded. "Come with me."

The group of people continued to pass through various magic shops. Harry and the others couldn’t wait to have eight more eyes and walk on the street. Everyone except Hagrid was looking around, hoping to see everything. A transparent: all the shops, the objects in front of the shops, the people who shop.

A fat woman was standing outside the pharmacy. When they passed by, she shook her head and said, "Dragon liver, seventeen ounces, they are crazy!"

"Dragon liver?" Everyone glanced and couldn't see it, but there were indeed some medicinal materials written on the price board at the door—if dragon liver was also counted.

Hagrid's pace is relatively large, so everyone has to keep pace. I haven't felt it just now, but once Hagrid just wanted to move forward, everyone couldn't keep up, especially the children. Ona couldn't help but want to sprint.

There was a low and soft whine from a dark shop, and the sign in front of the door read: Owl Store-Grey Wood Owl, Horned Horned Owl, Grass Owl, Brown Owl, Snowy Owl.

But to Ona, it was: "Hey, guys, can you tell me if I can be taken away by a reliable master today? I'm the prettiest one among you."

"Funny. I don't take any photos of urine, obviously I am the most beautiful cub!"

"I'm hungry, I don't know if you are fancy to me, did you guys starve to death in your life? I can't get food..."

"I'm hungry too, I haven't eaten enough..."

Ona almost didn't laugh out loud.

The noses of a few boys of the same age as Ona and Harry were pressed against the window glass, and there were flying broomsticks in the window.

"Look," they could hear one of the boys say, "That's the new light wheel 2000-the highest speed..."

Some shops sell robes, some sell binoculars and weird silverware that no one has ever seen before, and some shop windows are filled with baskets of bat spleens and eel eyes, piled with spell books, quill pens, etc. Rolls of parchment, medicine bottles, lunar instruments...

"Gringotts is here," Hagrid said. Finally, Hagrid stopped, everyone caught up and looked up. This is a snow-white building towering high above the surrounding shops. Next to the shiny bronze gate, stands a figure wearing a scarlet and gold uniform. Isn’t that...

"Yes, that's a fairy." Hagrid whispered calmly as they walked towards the man along the white stone steps.

This goblin was about a head shorter than Harry, with a dark face with a clever face, a pointed beard, and extremely long hands and feet. When they entered the door, the goblin bowed to them. The girls were a little disappointed. They thought that fairies would be the kind of beautiful and strange creatures, and now there are only fairies.

Then a second door appeared in front of them, silver, and the following words were engraved on the two doors: Please come in, stranger, but you have to be careful about what will end if you are insatiable, just ask for it, get something for nothing, you will receive the most severe So if you want to take away a piece of wealth that never belonged to you from our underground vault, thief, you have been warned to be careful not to bring treasure, but evil.

"Like I said, if you want to rob the bank, you are crazy." Hagrid said.
